Great job on hunting that book down. I hope the people that made deals with you live up to their end. You are doing a great job on your channel. Now you can read all those fantastic stories and travel in the barbarians lands in your imagination. Conan fights a lot of monsters. So be on the lookout, something may be lurking around the next bend.
😁😁 You are right about that! I love when he takes on the monsters bare handed! His feats of strength are always top notch in the comics and in all the novels I've read. Appreciate you stopping by my friend!
I remember reading a Conan book where he was fighting an underwater monster for the whole issue. I remember holding my breath so much while I was reading it, like when somebody's underwater in the movies. His lungs were like steel, when he finally broke the surface of the water to get that life-sustaining breath. He was triumphant over the sea creature. And I could breathe right again😮. When my dad saw me reading a comic book, he said to me, "he's got muscles on his muscles". Conan has that attribute, plus a a very sharp sword 🗡️ 🗡️ 🗡️ 🗡️ 🗡️ 🗡️ 🗡️.
Hi, This is the HOLY GRAIL! Very cool! I discovered Conan in 1972 with issue #3 from a local liquor store and I was hooked. I since traded it for issue #1. I also have some Sav Sw of Conan, Saga of Conan, King Conan, etc. Robert E Howard was AMAZING, as was Edgar Rice Burroughs. Then of course my pb western authors...Louis L'Amour, Luke Short, Gordon D. Sherriffs etc. 🙂I LOVED seeing The Phoenix and the sword from 1932!! Enjoy your day!
The highest graded one ever graded is now on Ebay!! But your piggy bank will have to be over-flowing for sure. Thank you so much for watching and the comment SQCC, appreciate it very much!!
Thanks for popping by Brian! I really enjoyed your video you did yesterday. I had a million things running through my mind that I wanted to say about what you have had to go through lately from trying to do something nice annually for others; but I am really bad (in my older age) at holding my tongue and not saying things I prob. shouldn't say publicly. I will send you an email (since I don't have insta or stuff like that). Thanks again for watching!!
I am glad you respect the honor part the most, it's way more important in life than subs for sure.😉 Having said that; so nice of you to subscribe RnC! Do you have a channel yourself? I will check in a little bit and hopefully return the favor. My vibe is my vibe... you know us "old folks", we just can't change! LOL
Very nice copy of Marvel's Conan#1! I hate that you are getting nothing from some of the trades. And yes I will get to your unboxing. I usually use Saturday's to make a videos but last Saturday I was at a wedding. I will definitely have time this weekend. The Conan book was in my Halloween giveaway box and thought you might like it. Not in the best shape but definitely a reader copy. Very excited for you. Congratulations on your acquisition of the 1st Conan.
Thanks Mr. Akins! Appreciate your sympathy. Sadly, not everyone honors their commitments. The least they could have done is give me an excuse. LOL Personally, that is why I have never ever loaned money to anyone. I have Given money to people, but never let them borrow. It creates hard feelings for sure. Glad you liked the 2 Conan books.. Now I just have to get those early BM books before I move on to???..... I have no clue, but I know I love collecting and reading! 😁
Thanks brother! You just caught me... I was about 1 second from shutting down my laptop LOL. I usually stay up until around 11 most times, but the last hour I like to read. Have a great night; we will see you soon!
WOAH! You officially own a real piece of history here. Genuinely one of the coolest unboxings I've ever seen~! Hard to believe the Conan collecting journey is already over. You made quick work of it! Will stay tuned in for any future Bat-related collecting videos. I think it might take just a bit longer to collect all of that lol.
OMG! You're okay! 😁😁😁😁 I was worried you will still not feeling well, so glad you are well enough to watch videos at least. Yes, I feel like the journey is kinda over as far as collecting; BUT, I do have a lot more Conan content to share for sure! Stay tuned brother! Next Wednesday I might do a 'special show' though. Just came back from my first comic show I have been to in 37 years!!!! I may show some film to share my experience.
Great video. I enjoyed the family highlight. Diabetes sucks im type 1. Thank you for your service. Honor is something not taught or learned anymore. Integrity is also lacking. Be true to your word is how my grandpa taught me. It's a shame. Congrats on your grail. That is awesome.
Your grandpa was a smart man! I learned that at a very young age; and later, old time westerns and such movies reinforced it in my heart (they were always in a gun fight over something like that). 😉 My whole family loves to shoot; and my eldest daughter (not seen) got an Expert badge like her pappy when she was in Basic Training (very proud of her)! Everyone's morals are different though; and I guess I shouldn't expect strangers to have the same as mine. Thank you for the comments RRC! I always look forward to them! 😁
@@Renegaderantscomics I loved the fighting forces of WWII; I used to have to do rotations in a hospital for 1 month, once a year as a combat medic; and I met and took care of many of them back in the 80's. They had the most wonderful stories to tell! I also collect WWII biographies, and must have over 50 books dedicated to that time frame. I like studying WW1 history as well, along with VietNam. But WWII will always be my favorite!! Bless your Grandpa!!!
I'm looking forward to your thoughts on the Conan comics you're reading. Loved Man bat as a kid too...thought he was very eerie! First Conan!( and it looks in condition!) - you are the best Conan collector I know. Amazing. (as a plus that cover is very cool, even if isn't of Conan)
Thanks Sleepy! I know of one better (the guy that sold me that book)! LOL He also is on track to buy the first ever Typescript of that first story! Man, I am surprised that it is not in a museum! Thank you for watching as always. Glad you liked the Eerie Man-Bat as well. His ears for some reason also freaked me out! Wish we were neighbors, I think I could chat with you for hours!
Awesome score with that Weird Tales! I've been a Conan/REH fan for about 46 years now but I've never owned any original Weird Tales! Also you are very courageous being openly pro-gun in this space on YT! I tend to keep that under my proverbial hat!
Thanks for the comment Larry! I don't mind being honest about owning guns. All people that have had the proper handling, use, and safety training, and of course take safety measures in storing them in their homes should have one in my opinion. Protecting my family is my number 1 concern, and I am sure most people feel the same way, but may go about it in a different way. A baseball bat could be quite effective as well I am sure! 😅 I have also been a fan of Conan since around 1971. The Weird Tales collection was never a part of my original goal. I think it's more like I wanted to "have a piece of history" in my hands (and of course, being a collecting addict didn't help either)! 😆 I will never give up my Conan paperback books, since I love reading them more than any comic book; but I may part with the Weird Tales. I would be happy to share the joy of owning them with someone else someday! ☺
@@SonOfCrom-1932 Agreed! If you haven't watched my Conan/REH paperback Collection Tour video you should check it out. I kept all the REH paperbacks I bought and read as a kid!

For sure going to share, but he has to hold up his end of the agreement! 😉
Congratulations that’s wonderful on the Conan Marvel 1 and especially the Weird Tales. Very glad for you in your collection journey.

That's an amazing book. I've learned so much about Conan from this channel.
So glad you are enjoying it brother!!! More to come!

Wow, that is about the same time I started reading the paperbacks (around 70/71). Great minds think alike! Love those old Westerns too!
Wow, MANBAT!!! One of the most underrated and under utilised Batman villains!!!! My cap is well and truly doffed to you👍
So glad you like Man-Bat as well! He is actually quite a cool character that I always enjoyed! Thank you for stopping by!! 🥰

It's the 7.5 one. You can verify it on GPA. Also he is selling the 5.5 as well at a lower price.
Glad to see your books arrived safely!
Congrats on acquiring your grail. Really neat stuff!
Yes, they are all wonderful! I have read all of them except the one I had never heard of. Saving that for the weekend!🥰
Great updates. Thanks again for my win. The Neal Adam's sketch arrived safety. Congrats on the first Conan. Great to get a peek inside the book.

Thank you Allan. The personal collector that sold it to me takes really great care of his books!
