Original jurisdiction- (dispute solving between centre states or between states themselves) legal or provision based disputes between states, but not unconstitutional one's or the agreements before the making of the supreme court, like inter state river dispute, already sign only one individual can't and also in financial or commercial related matters (against centre as well which seems not valid like in coal bearing area aquisition and development 1957) Writs: on fundamental writes, can also go to high court. In high court they go for the violation of ordinary rights. Appellate jurisdiction: If they're not satisfied with lower courts they go to supreme court. Constitutional, civil, criminal, special lead etc.

11.34 On inter state water disputes SC can't make any jurisdiction but mullaperiyar dam dispute is been handled by SC . I have misunderstood it pls help sir
Inter state water dispute Act has excluded disputes between states with respect to USE, DISTRIBUTION AND CONTROL of water from original jurisdiction of SC but in mullaperiyar dam case, dispute is not w.r.t above mentioned case but it is said by Kerala that there might be a threat to 119 years old dam if they raise the level of water to higher extent and the water pressure may result in collapse of dam, which may take life of many people.
Sir mullaperiyar dam bhi to water dispute hai phir kyun supreme court uspe judgement deta hai Jabki interstate water dispute pe uska jurisdiction nahi hai
