The time scale switch is a life saver for bass lines. You can still get those interesting shapes, but really punchy versions - excellent module!

This convinced me to get into eurorack, and then later on to get Falistri (which is my fave module) and I'll still come back to this vid. Just top notch- I adore this channel.

Superb tutorial on this fascinating module! I am trying to decide between this and Make Noise Maths for my next build. I most do techno, industrial and harder stuff but sometimes ambient music.

Chris, I'd LOVE a video on the Usta!

Sequencers are so deep, I've been avoiding them out of fear it would be a rabbit hole that would take forever to climb back out of! ;-) But maybe some technique videos on uses for sequencers and some of their cool tricks...that might be an option down the road...

I have watched the series a couple of times but one thing I either missed or is not covered (and I don't blame you I would expect it on frap tools website but can't find it there either), what is the maximum possible cycle time for the functions? A rough idea of some seconds, about a minute or some minutes (or even longer) would totally suffice but I can't find anything in regards to that. So I wondered if you could give a rough indication of that? I am new to modular and it seems maximum rise/fall or cycle times are not indicated for many envelope generators which I find irritating :D

And just now I heard "a bit over 8 seconds"... Sorry! And thank you for these detailed and wonderful videos. Helps a lot.

@ glad you found it. I had to overdub it in later because the module I was making the videos with was a very early version that did not match production units in that regard; I verified the value for the production units - at least 8 seconds - with Frap before the video went up.

@ I forget; I'll retest once I finish the Feeding The Monster series where I'm re-assembling my studio case. But I think that's the limit, regardless (and I would be happy to be wrong).

@@LearningModular Very much appreciate it and take all the time you need! I am actually watching part 2 of "Feeding The Monster" right now, started live last night but got distracted :D It's amazing for a newcomer to just see and get some words about a couple of modules at once. So far I tried to find things via modular grid or just browsing reviews/tutorials of modules in yours and divkids channel. But it's obviously hard to find things if you don't know what you are searching for. If 8s is really the limit that seems quite short. I am already thinking about not getting it now and instead opting for something like two Contour 1 or Minislew + a ringmod...
