Thank you for this lesson. I'm working on drafting my own bodice block for a Vest.
I drafted for my upper bust, then gave the front a FBA that still had no shape.
Then I used your technique of closing up the waist dart and transferring the dart volume into the bust.
Wow, I've got shape in the right spot!

Brilliant tip folding under the dart tip! I always have a problem with it tearing there. Can’t wait to try it out. Thank you 🙏🙏

I will put it on the list. I have a long list of videos to make, so it might be awhile.

Hi Is there a possibility of transferring the bust dart to a waist dart.

Yes. You would do it the same way it is done in this video.
      1. Plot out where you want to transfer your waist dart to go, by drawing a line from the waist to the apex.
      2. Then on the side bust dart, slash down one of the dart legs through the dart tip to apex (but not through apex).
      3. Slash up the plot line from the waist to the apex (do not slash through the apex).
      4. Now close the bust dart (by bringing dart leg to dart leg). This will open a dart at you waist.
      Hope this helps.

Thank you for your helpful video. I’m working on an adjustment to a button down shirt (woman) which has a bust dart and I’ve done a full bust adjustment which fits; the shirt blouses out at the hem line so it needs waist darts to pull it in, however I don’t want waist darts. I’m considering make a couple of waist darts and then transferring them to the existing bust dart. This will create a very deep dart. Do you think this would work?

I will probably work. You should consider turning the innards of that deep dart into seam allowance. That would reduce a lot of the bulk.
