The effect is nice but becomes too much after a while, still, it's not bad.
Interaction between cops is a nice little detail and feels more "engaging".
Downloaded the game but did not have much free time to play, this gameplay really makes me want to try it out ASAP, finally, something I really look up to every weekend, can't wait to 100% this game, thanks for the clean gameplay Shirrako!

The sense of speed in this one seems to be amazing! The lack of chase in the police chases seems kind of disappointing, though. The importance of GREAT cop chases in a NFS game should never been underestimated.
Unfortunately I don't think this max heat level even compares to the level 2 heat in NFS: Most Wanted, not to mention the other 4 + (1 extra level 7 which is all heavy SUVs). Really catering to the whole modern genre of "easier = better" gaming, it seems.

Hmm. I would say otherwise. Having a health bar with the amount of cops you have now is quite difficult. On the highest difficulty, two knocks from a lvl5 heavy cop and you're out. Roadblocks cannot be rammed through. If you do you lose 75% health. Cops follow you through jumps in this game and they are fast and heavy. Also repair stations have 4 minute cooldown.
Not saying this is as intense as most wanted on the highest heat levels but this is plenty hard. You might wanna give it a try on the highest difficulty if you play the game.

The return of the reinforcements system is refreshing actually. Looks like NFS is finally starting to go back to the style of the original Most Wanted and Carbon. Now, spike strips should permeantly take out your tires since that was what made the pursuits nerve racking in the original games lmao.

It should have at least been a option to turn on and off in the settings like in GTAV. The midnight club series back in the day sure didn’t skimp on the traffic. But nowadays they got to put everything on easy mode for noobs, scrubs and “game journalist”.
So what’s your take on the fakest sounding cops in gaming history? Those script writers and voice actors probably don’t even have a GED.

Man the police dialogue is so unprofessional and silly. Like it’s a cheesy action movie or something. Compare it to actual real life police dialogue and you’ll find that IRL cops are professional, precise, and are only saying things that need to be said. Most Wanted 05 got that aspect the most right so far in the series (no I’m not a MW fanboy, hell I only played the game for the first time about half a year ago).
You're right, I was going to comment about this. Most Wanted, Carbon and Undercover had great police dialogue. They even had moments that don't exactly fall into the category of professionalism, but they sounded immersive, when comparing to real police dialogue I've heard. Maybe the developers tried to show that the police are human here, or... something. Instead, the police ended up sounding like a rabble of gang members trying to catch you and some bitch constantly throwing hissy fits over the radio.

He has a point remember in nfs rivals when there were damn Bugatti cops, and helicopters would drop spike strips cop chases aren’t not as thrilling as that, and NFS Heats cops are way more aggressive than Unbound
This was actually a refreshing touch to the good old NFSMW game back in 2005. Memorable times, still miss them like hell. Seems so far away in the year, we are already in, almost into 2024, and it's merely 20 years ago. Man, start feeling a bit old, haha.
Anyway, the design of this police chase, is amazing. First of all, the interaction between the cops, and the way they are communcating, making it more realistic, as with real world cops - apart from the hypersonic speeds, they are kinda driving at xD
The wailing siren throughout the landscapes, and echoing out in the distance when they are driving by, makes me feel like, I am watching an action-movie, where a bad guy is on the run from the authorities. What I am really missing here, which I think was a big issue with MW, is that, when you hit a roadblock head-on (with bullet-time turned off), you would lose speed, but on the flipside, if you turned the bullet-time-effect, on, you will make them would make them tip over and maybe make them do several rolls-overs, when you turned it off again. I didn't understand bullet-time, tbh. Why does your car suddenly get ´extra power´ in terms of moving the cop cars away more easily than in regular speed? That just doesn't add up, imo.
But above all that, this was a refreshing touch to a game that's almost 2 decades old. Man, time flies!
After playing Most Wanted 05 a bunch recently it kind of shocks me how TERRIBLE the police chatter is in this game. It's worse than it was for the original Hot Pursuit ffs. It doesn't sound authentic in the slightest, like just very low effort.

glad in this game. there is no rhino or super agresive police car like in heat. 😅 it would be exhausting to get in chase more than 3x just in night 1 sessions(if you want complete whole racing section)

Also how were you able to keep driving after hitting the spike strips? Do they only temporarily slow you or do they pop your tires like in MW?
I prefer hearing the damn car and police chasing me, music will add something but without it I think it is more intense.

Kinda sad how instead of trying their hardest to escape, their trying their hardest to keep the police on their tail because the ai is so easy.
I don't care what anyone says, but in terms of police chases, Rivals will always be at the top spot than MW 2005. Why? Here's the reason.
1. They're fucking deadly, vicious, aggressive, and bloodthirsty. Even if you are idle or staying out of sight from them, they will still find you no matter what because their AI programs to find racers, including you.
2. In lower heat levels, cops will only drive low level cars. But if you reach Heat Levels 8 - 10, they will swarm in, driving the Agera, the Veyron, the Venom GT, the One:1, and the F1 LM with deadly pursuit tech equipped. Everyone fears those cops.
3. In a single pursuit, they might be able to spawn 2 choppers above you and can fucking drop spike strips without even noticing it. If you don't jam them, you're absolutely screwed.
4. All is fun and games until the words *PURSUIT RESUMED* appears on your screen every fucking time if you are getting away from them.

Don't forget Players Cops too. They also depend on the Heat Level in NFS Rivals as well as Random Pursuit Techs from the Players and Racers too even Player Racers.

NFS Rivals: chased by Player Cops and Most Intense AI Cops

And actually make it so that your car is no longer made out of paper, while the police are made of unobtanium especially when you hit them the wrong way causing you to take all the damage? I remember full speed T-boning one in heat and all it did was maul my car for most of the health.

@@vincenzorafaelsuarez6644 Honestly.. this game is fairly hit or miss I mean there really isn’t not much newest that they’ve brought into this game compared to older NFS but ehhhhh if I’m being all the way honest the game was 🔥 for the first maybe couple weeks I played it on and off but after awhile all games like this grow to be old/boring to me. And this one has as well, I haven’t played it in some time. I wouldn’t necessarily say the overall game is bad, just whatever they were going for with the design and graphics of the game is questionable. In the end to each their own like you said, to some this may be alright to some others maybe not so much.

In my opinion, this game is almost Tragic but okay at least and it's only for some people or NFS fans who are training during the Police Chase before playing NFS Rivals and NFS Mobile in Online or Single Player or Multiplayer and/or mostly, NFS Most Wanted 2005 on PS2 or PSP in Solo Play and Free Extreme Police Chase Challenge

I kinda find these police chases a little broken, some of them are kinda bugged out and just straight up annoying after a while it gets tiring almost after every race I gotta dip from the cops. And it’s not that it’s even necessarily THAAAT hard it’s more so just simply annoying 🫠😂 like it just would be nice every now and then during a big spending race to not have to have anxiety after you win the race that all your money will be lost.

In mw2012 the tires actually popped and for them to reinflate you had to either have self inflating tires equipped or go through a repair shop.

I hate to say this but NFS Unbound Cops are really Underwhelming or okay but the second worst Police Vehicles in my opinion.
The NFS Most Wanted 2005 cops are really overwhelming or the toughest and the best Police Vehicles in the NFS series.
I'm sure that NFS Mobile will fix this issue and probably become similar to NFS Rivals at least.
