Thanks, I appreciate your taking the time to describe the differences in these very similar modules. I have yet another variant which is similar to your latter examples, is USB-C and "4056" on pcb front and no markings on the rear, but the chip markings are a little different with (no branding) 4056H, 8205LA, and DW01-A
Thanks for the great info! I found 10 of these for 8 bucks and your video helped me figure out I had the last version you mentioned. Seem to be working OK so far trying to recover some over discharged cells.
Thank you for the information on the temperature protection. This board is good, but was missing detecting when the battery was overheating. We’ll done.
Found 20 on sale/special discount. It was nice to hear this info to investigate what I got. My current charging systems are "all over the place" and I wanted to organise this and learn some more.
@@blue_onwhat about balance between two same batteries connected parallel? I think that they may be discharged not the same so they may have different voltages during charged or discharged. Is TP4056 protect from it?

@@kennnnnethchua it is safe. problem is that the TP4056 is linear charger. meaning it just dissipates exeeding voltage into heat. it makes TP4056 chip hot whie charging large battery. you can use IP2312 instead.

The only good information is about turning on temperature protection and it only says so at the end and doesn't explain anything about that, make another video explaining this feature plz
Disagree completely, it is very useful to distinguish the variants of this board because often the seller does not provide the intricate details. On the other hand, it was pointed out to consult the datasheet for temperature implementation which is correct. We can't very well hold your hand and wait for you to supply specifics of your design requirements and then calculate that out for you. If it is beyond your understanding to use a datasheet to work out the component values and topology, then you should leave it alone as it is beyond your skill level, and frankly, probably dangerous for you (or others in your absence) to be messing with DIY charge and discharge of Li-Ion batteries at all.
Yyeeaahhhhh... except he DID in fact explain how to disable the temp function and how to configure it if needed. Not only that, he goes on to explain where you can get more detailed info for this feature. It seems strange that even with the ability to rewind as many times as is necessary, you still somehow missed this info. 🤔🤔🤔

Thank you. Excellent content. This gave me a better understanding of what I need to look for when buying TP4056 modules.
Thank you so much for high lighting about TP4056 boards and their characteristics. Now I am fully aware what to do. Once again thank you so much.

Thank you so much for this! Trying to add charging to a project for the first time!
Really helpful video learned a lot about this module and its variants, thank you

Can you recommend a good P Channel MOSFET to use for the configuration shown at 7:08? Thank you!
not fancy MOSFETs are required. AO3401A will do the job.
Thanks!
Excellently explained....Thanks
Can we connect multiple batteries to one tp4056 module for charging it? Also what happens if modern smartphone chargers are used (like 20w, 60w)
yes you can connect multiple batteries in parallel. also, TP4056 only takes 5W from charger.
@@blue_on how to do fast charging???
@@Otazuki004I’m pretty sure this involves changing a resistor, but also changes how it charges the battery if it is below normal voltage levels.

I have 2 Samsung 2500 mAh cells connected in parallel
Total capacity is 5000mAh
Can i use single TP4056 module to charge it or should i charge them separately by TP4056
as you connected them in parallel, total voltage is 3.7V and it means single TP4056 is applicable.
6:38 arent those scematics from slime vr?
Thanks for the video. Looks like I have some other version, mine have USB-C, 4056E, DW01A, 8205A 😅
The output terminals are the same voltage as the battery I guess?
which mosfet is required ?
Is it possible to use just one 4056 to charge two 18650 batteries connected (parallel) ?

How i make a reverse polarity protection formthe Charger?
There is no need to do this. However you could put in a blocking diode. It is no different than polarity protection for anything else.
can this chip support charging from output points.
No
for charging use only? how about the out put?
The output are next to the positive and negative you will connect the battery wires to on the board
very helpful video
Thank You.
Caw we connect 10000 mh battery for charging in this module?

Hello. Can i make for module to work all time? For low power consumption
you can use ICs that has power path control like BQ25606. or even all-in-one IC like IP5306.
