Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, commonly referred to as ML or MLBB, is a free-to-play mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed and published by Moonton. Released in 2016, the game grew in popularity worldwide, most prominently in Southeast Asia, and has since crossed the 1 billion downloads feat, with peak monthly players of 100 million.
Announced on June 5, 2020, Project NEXT was Moonton's next big project slated for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang's 5th year anniversary. This included changes in user interface, revamps to several older heroes' 3D models, skill sets, stories, and voice lines. New login events, exclusive cosmetics, and a new hero was introduced with this update. Project NEXT was divided into three phases: The first phase was released on September 22, 2020, the second phase was released on June 15, 2021, and the third phase was released on September 21, 2021.
In spite of the massive changes that the game had during the previous years, no one can deny that the old times were also the better days. In this video, let us turn back time and witness the evolution of Mobile Legends Heroes from 2016 to 2021 in terms of model changes.

I love new kagura's skillset more as it allows the player to be more versatile tho i'd prefer if her dmg was higher. Even so, I really wish that the old look, especially her umbrella animation was kept, so beautiful.

I remember playing ML in its early days and deleted it because I have no more memory. I started playing again last year with my new tablet and damn was I shocked seeing a ton of changes. I thought I still played the same game. Turret shields, hero changes, and new skills for old heroes. My favorite was Akai back then with his weight ball instead of a fishing rod. Although most of the changes look great.

Damn, I've been a clint main since 2016. still remembered he was considered a support in the early days of ML, but as time goes on, he became older in the artstyle and now considered as one of the powerful MMs in the game

One thing I could wish is that we get access to their classic looks as skins. As much as the revamps of most heroes are great(except Lancelot because they made him overtuned as hell), the original designs are just nostalgic for a lot of older players.

I'm proud of myself because I've actually seen the 1st model of these heroes cuz I played MLBB ever since 2016. What I miss the most are the jungle item,Nana's ultimate where she can summon a huge mushroom for cc effect and damage and Bane's ultimate where he can summon a huge ship ( i like it more than the current shark Bane ult )

You can actually see the real _evolution_ on Belerick. Evolves from Bulbasaur to Groot.
I could say the same with Tigreal, Clint and Lapu Lapu... They grew older.

i played mlbb since 2016, just saw it in the play store back then and told my sister like "they thats a coop game! wanna play it?" and from then on, we played it so much, i mained rafaela since 2016 to 2017, i miss everyone. i miss blue freya, i miss old karina, i miss every since one of them. this video makes me nostalgic, even makes me tear up a bit. good old times.

Fun Fact: There is another earlier model for Argus, which is his first version. Rather than the visor of the argus that we know, he had eyes. His left eye is red and his right eye is a bit orange-ish. And he had the orange-ish veins and gem in his chest rather than green. If Moonton brings back his very first model as a skin, I'd definitely buy it.

I remember the days I'm so hyped to main Argus because of that model, especially they even show it in a cinematic trailer. Even they change the model I still main it until today... Such a nostalgia to remember those days when you just starting to main a hero

Real players remember old Yun Zhao being the best character in the game with his ult, made him immune to everything. Alucard being a Dante rip off, Natalia having 2 second silence on passive plus being able to dodge turret shots with smokebomb. Hell I remember there was a spell called “ interference” where u can just silence turrets and dive anyone in the game.
Tigreal and Dante combo is the deadliest in 2016. Not many people know about it. Akai is the one who always thwarts it.

Man, it has been 6 years already. I never thought that I could witness all of these since the beginning. This game fills my teenagehood.
same.... i also played it since the beginning, i remember them all, this video just fills me with nostalgia, i miss the old variants, blue haired freya, i remember how much i wanted to buy her. even though i have alreay lost 3 accounts in mpbb, including my very first one, im just happy that i came in for the ride right as it opened to public.... i miss the old times, and i feel old, its kinda sad to see how much the characters had grown. also, i hate the new layla design, she doesnt even have that steampunk style anymore, but, its a clear sign that im too used to the old times. its fun seeing another old in the game, or meeting newbies who never have ever seen the evolution of this game. it was my childhood. i will always hate people who say that rhis game is a cheap knockoff of L.O.L.
L.O.L. never grew as much as this game, and L.O.L. has no meaning to me, i hate people who dont understand that such games can have mental and time value for some people. like for me, who cherishes this game for making my childhood happier.

I liked the head gear from the old model
The first one made him look like a strong human killed many souls but the revamped model made him much of a healer type figure. Sorry for my poor English :')
Ngl Hayabusa 2016 looked more badass then 2021. The glowing light purple eyes and how he stands, how he holds the blade especially how furious his face looked.The 2021 one is more solid. He looks calmer.
Similiar thing for Clint. In 2016 he looked much better and younger. The outfit was better but in 2021 the fit looks more solid and basic most importantly he looks much older.
I find it funny how some characters, mostly female, went from scantily clad to moonton giving them clothes to cover up over time. Even Balmond was given an armor so as not to appear half naked. Though Hayabusa was dressed down a little bit.

I missed old Valir's ultimate 😭 I missed old Alucard model and his skill 😭 He can escape like 2nd skill Guinevre.
Nothing changed that much in her portrait tho, but in the model...i like the the old one better since the pose is more elegant.

@@AkariMMVI If you get stunned while dashing, not even an ounce of dmg from ult. The second skill is too short and the first skill lacks of impact making it look like a bit stronger Angela first skill. All I can say is they messed up.

Alice's model was slightly changed in her unlimited ult revamp actually
So she has 3 models
1 was the 2016
2 was the 2018
3 was in 2020 when her bangs changed
Her hair got shorter too
She actually had 4. If you played all the way back in August or early September of 2016. You'll know. I can hardly remember what she looked like on first release but definitely the one shown as 2016 in this video is the 1st variation of her remodel.

Fun fact: in the first version of Argus's ult, he had the immortality + he would get healed from any damage dealt to him in the duration of it. Im not sure its better than the ult he has right now but i think it definitely was a unique feature.

After Valir’s and Belerick’s revamp, alot of these other Revamps were a bit overtuned or underwhelming. At least with Faramis and Vexana’s upcoming revamps things may take a turn on people’s perspective
vexana is way too over powered i just hope they tune down that damage for her net revamp
@@kagurablooom its actually fair for her because it lacks mobility and many more, she even have the most weaknesses in all of the hero thats why shes the least used mage. Even with her insane damage, shes a hero that is a food for assasin with ambush skills like saber, lancelot, ling, benedetta and etc or assasins who are hard to be hit on like fanny

I would say some of these heroes don't actually need a new model, like Rafaela, Freya, Natalia, Fanny, and Odette, their background model actually looks super unique and really shows them i think
in my opinion new rafaela looks cuter and also natalia as well. old rafaela looks beautiful too but it looks as though she is nearing her 40's while old natalia looks pretty as well and bloodthirsty

There used to be a 2nd model called Zhao Yun even before he's called Zilong. The model is like a backwards portrait of his 1st model but with different colours. Only OG Yun Zhao users know this. Plus, Argus' model used to be black & red(or dark orange I think) back in the old days. Great video btw, I experienced Nostalgia because of it when I first played this in winter 2016.

This video gives nostalgia vibes for those who began playing ML from the very beginning when was released, I watch this and it feels like I'm getting old as well as oldest heroes such as Alice, Saber, Baldmon and the most epic song in the background make it overwhelming.
I remembere playing karina in the first season back then classic mode. Was just so generally confused about how everything works. 😵

i remember chou was a former aldous of mlbb before he got released and all of the sudden on almost every year he gets nerfed due to high damage output and heavy cc's. the 2016 era has no indonesians that currently sits at the most toxic country in mlbb region and the one that nearly made rage quit this game but i left it to go to philipines region
Most toxic may go to Myanmar tho, but Indonesians player are the strongest player
I am not angry as an Indonesian citizen, I am quite satisfied with the mlbb players in my country who often make mistakes in the game, but I am also proud because there are many great players from my country 😊

I remember playing ML when fanny is still a new hero lmao. Stop playing it for years because of device problem. When I returned it caught me by surprise, I need to admit, moonton really imrpove it alot and I respect what they do to the game. From pixelated now the graphic is pretty good and the character design and artworks are much better.

i used to play this game a lot, but then i stopped when it was near the end of 2017. I really liked Miya and she's always in my heart, a few days ago I started to play this game again and I'm totally shocked on how Miya changed, she changed a lot 🗿

Yes, they were censored a lot, especially alice, and others were censored for parents of children who play mlbb not to say it was demonic, Balmond, Sun and Bane are examples of this

I remember playing back in the day and at that time alucard had the red coat, he was so cool and i loved playing him because of "demon hunter" feeling whem i play him.
Some of the characters already had great and unique character design in their splash arts and only needed a 3d/in-game model revamps...
I still remember Layla very big canon and her hair being not that long in 2017😭💗
