I remember watching this episode of On The Ball when it was first broadcast in 1983.
I met this man when I was working as a carer, and I can honestly say he was an absolute gentleman, he was such a warm and welcoming wee man, just a lovely man with a lovely family.
Lovely video, this. Both so humble and understated. RIP Harry. Such a brave man. Vesna is just a wonderful person, too.

What a brave man, such a hero, no statue at OT for Harry, he never liked the suits, that mug Atkinson sacked him, he was frightened of the great man, who never bent the knee to no man, that video made me cry. You can see the love in them beautiful women, love for their saviour Harry.

Does anyone know if they (Vera and Vesna Lukic) are still alive now 65 years later?
As far as I'm aware Vesna is still alive. She met Harry Gregg on subsequent occasions after this meeting. Her younger brother also got to meet him. This video does not tell the full story of Harry Gregg's heroics that fateful night. He saved several other people too.
