@@st_09 It's only for scholarship purposes, those who's parental income falls under scholarship bracket but are unable to provide income certificate wouldn't get the specified scholarship, rest assured, not providing income certificate doesn't means one's candidature gets cancelled.

Ek question hai, counselling mein interview nahi hota hai na humlog ka. Matlab humlog ke subject se questions vagera nahi puchenge na professors, baas apna certificates jama karna hai na bhaiya...nahi toh mein apna subject fir revise karungi
The allotment process in central Universities are the worst actually. You won't be able to get admission until every possible OBC students are admitted...This is my personal experience, like what are we General category students need to do....even if we scored good marks higher than OBC still we won't get admission, dont these students need to put same efforts as ours. Honestly, caste wise selection shouldn't be promoted instead income wise selection process can be a way better option.

So, reservation isn't bringing much benefit to them Data suggests that OBCs cut off are always low. If according to you, all have an equal chance of scoring good, then this should never happen. One possible thing could be nothing called caste would be there officialy, But you know who spread caste based discrimination, (foreign rulers 🤔) This could be eliminated stepwise ofc. Say removing reservation from some higher posts where public interaction is very less But since people are asking too much at same time, removal of reservation is being delayed only. Its a no benefit for general people
In the present era mindset of the people changes with time. so why reservation create discrimination among non-deserving students over deserving students. All are same in our society than why govt give reservation on particular community? I think reservation should be given only on the basis of economic conditions not on the basis of cast.

No income certificate needed beyond 8 lakhs per annum of income as we are not availing any scholarship

You can submit an undertaking for that. I think it's annexure 5 in the list of annexures.
