the jb marine viaduct is making very fast progress with nearly 11 complete spans! after that, the launching girder for the jb's marine viaduct will make its final move towards pier #45 followed by retracting back to its original launching position for the final viaduct assembly towards the land viaduct spanning over 2 spans, following the Sunway's footsteps.
Hope there is good arrangements for car rental companies to be nearby for commuters to hop on upon arriving at Johore, that will help to ease transportation arrangements and the dispersal of crowd.
A concern I have is once the station is made in JB, it will still have a bottleneck since JB side doesn't have a lot of public transportation options to get around. Tons of people will be waiting at the taxi stands. The plus side is that hopefully the current checkpoints will be less congested.
Kalau ada jambatan pun kapal besar tidak boleh lalu. Lagipun laluannya kecil yang boleh mengakibatkan kesesakan. Kalau sudah sesak, kapal pun tidak berminat nak lalu.
It will be super convenient for Singaporeans to go shopping and makan there and for Malaysians to come work in Singapore. How does it benefit Singapore's business? I can only envision woodland and northern Singapore to be a retirement zone where we can easily travel to JB
If there is one thing I hope for Johor is to have better town planning. There is so much potential and growth but were not well tapped. The town planning looks like a patchwork without a masterplan. Even the new Southkey has questionable road networks. The area around Bt. Chager could be better planned to make use of the influx of travellers, have a critical mass of malls, offices and hotels. Looked at Shenzhen, it started of behind HK and now is as prosperous. Johor can do it.
If we take the RTS to Johor, do we go through another customs? Because my grandparents have always wanted to go JB to eat and shop but they can't stand too long if the queue is very long.
You will clear both sg exit and jb entry customs before you even ride the train into jb. When you exit jb, you will also clear both jb exit and sg entry customs before you ride the train back into sg.
This is so costly... easier to bulldoze part of the river and sell land up to the borderline in the middle of the river. Then just walk over and spend ringgit.

Yes, just 4km but very HUGE impact cz it connecting 2 countries MY and SG. Furthermore, East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) with 600km length will be completed in 2026..it also will connecting MY and Thailand just like KTM ETS which currently operational. RTS 🔥🔥🔥
JB should improve their infrastructure to perfect the RTS project. Some of the lampposts aren’t functioning at night…quite annoying actually😢

The real problem is around JB Sentral.

Seriously? 85% completion? There are tons of unfinished job.
I guess only the viaduct.. Not the whole project.
The 85% is prob just structural works. Doesn't include landscaping, mechanical & electrical works.
Finally some smart ppl here
Lies again? LA Liga USD SGD
85% is for the concrete Infrastruture only. The rail tracks, electrical, mechanical and feeder roads is 100% PENDING.

Why no news on the rolling stock?
E-ART bila nak start eh
A lot of SG biz is excited to setup shop in JB because of low cost. The day is coming when SG people take the MRT to JB to work.
We are neighbours, right🙂
There are Thailand team working lauching Gantry with Acre Works Sdn Bhd Company at Johor Bahru side.
Can a ship go through under that MRT line?
In Future big ship memang tak boleh lalu dah.. untung 1 pihak. hope tambak tukar jambatan juga. baru air boleh mengalir.
klo xde rts pon mmg x boleh lalu pon sama je

On completion of the RTS there will be many issues created. One rail-line with usuage of two currencies, the Operator will be made double-headed.
Bila lh nk ada lrt/mrt ni pnt ak nk hdap jem blik prgi kerja/blik krje/ jln hjung minggu...hari2 same jem
It would be good to have it finished this year. I have a possible holiday next year, and completion would make the border crossing much easier

LRT
When the Brooklyn Bridge was built Brooklyn became all but New York
When the RTS' fully up and running and matures JB all but Singapore?
MRT/metro networks in msian bigger side must be more extensive to make Singapore island part of Malaysia.
Again.
85% complete is just the platform structure lol.. is gonna take 2 years more for installing the train on the platform and intense testing
