i really think breakdancing should be apart of the olympic games. I dont think people really understand how athletic u need to be to do those stunts. There would definitely be alot of viewers watching it too. Thumbs up if u would watch it too!!
i now its a little late but you know most of the people dont know what bboying is but if you talk about ballet everybody know what it si the best part of bboying is that you can show people what it means and the unique thing of it is that if you walk among the people with your bboy clothes and your a very good dancer your a bad ass peace to all bboys keep training !!! bboy 4 life
TRICKS TRICKS AND MORE MORE TRICKS, ""NO UNIQUE STYLES" DIFICULTY AND MORE DIFICULTY. NO INAVATION ON TOP ROCK NOHTING OF CRAZY STYLES. Good powers ,obviously
@BboyMullet figure skating has certain moves and routines u have to complete in order to finish the round such as triple lodge etc, its a rule whereas bboying is letting ur body move freely on music, theres no remit or restriction. its more like an artists' competition.
@monnyg1 It's called TOP ROCK. More specifically the BATTLE TOP ROCK. Most BBoys know this move, it's a fundamental for bboying. Usually bboys top rock, either with kick step or battle before doing a power move (flares, headspins etc.)
i jus want to say is i got madd love for the peeps who go and appreciate jams and don't even break.. Thank you for your support.. i practice every chance i get because i love this SH#T, most cats don't understand, but those who do make me love dancing even more..
I lived through the 80's as a kid trying to imitate Michael Jackson, the battles on the street were break dancing battles, then my town in South Los Angeles turned the 90's into real gun battles... now it's nice to see these kind of battles again, just wished it wasn't with dubstep but it's alright, I can always put another tune and watch this.
I find it weird and a bit wrong that Deine LieblingsBreaker Crew isn't mentioned here or shown by YAKbattles, even though they r featured well enough in this awesome trailer. You can see them within 0:55, 1:25, 2:35, and 2:47 of this video.
@s1lverne0 lots of moves are pretty much replications or variations of existing ones since many have already been "discovered" but a lot are also pretty unique but yah it was similar to wings
bboying isnt a sport but it would be pretty dope to be known as a sport and better yet to be like football or soccer and go to other schools to battle and have competitions so in a way its artistic, athletic, and much more (:
Thanks for the comment spOOky. Yeah I'm considered an old timer compared to these young'uns b-boyin now a days. I first picked it up in the later part of the seventies in New York but there were African-Americans doing it yrs before me in the Bronx and Brooklyn New York. To the best of my knowledge..I don't know of any other city startin up before that
@BBoyMcboogerballs I agree with you. This kind of videos impress me very little. Nica moves but can't really tell anything about the freshness, funkyness or how dynamic it's done in the solo and the battle as a total.
@NXcashHacker Hmmm, well when you put it like that, alright, that makes sense. I just think that bboys and dancers have about the amount of talent as any professional golfer, or baseball player or whatever else. The "profession" in general just deserves more respect.
@squeezecl I'm a new generation dancer and sorta Bboy in a way. But I agree to what he said. And your comment just proves it: that the new generation defines BBoy as just powermoves. It should not be that way. Bboy should be balanced between style/footwork and powermoves. If you're just powermoves you're routine gets boring really fast. (cont.)
incredible seeing this video it was more than a decade ago and it goes haaaaard still today, the edit is just... ahead of time

I lived through the 80's as a kid trying to imitate Michael Jackson, the battles on the street were break dancing battles, then my town in South Los Angeles turned the 90's into real gun battles... now it's nice to see these kind of battles again, just wished it wasn't with dubstep but it's alright, I can always put another tune and watch this.

bboying isnt a sport but it would be pretty dope to be known as a sport and better yet to be like football or soccer and go to other schools to battle and have competitions so in a way its artistic, athletic, and much more (:
