Thanks for the zooming in close-ups as well as the smoother travel from one thing to the next than in the past.
Alot of this will be found in thrift shops/yard sales/curb side trash and then on e-bay, when I had my Art Show most of my "AFFORDABLE" ART went for 49.95 and the most costly was 125.00 dollars in 1988 dollars..so do the math, the real value these days is having a wall you can call your own to hang these trinkets on.
I feel similarly about the jewelry I make for friends and family. They see these overpriced pieces on etsy or where have you, and I can make them something very similar for just a few bucks in many cases. I understand value is highly subjective... but some of this is anything BUT affordable. Well... then again lol I guess "affordable" is subjective too! When you're stuffing mattresses with money, a lot of things are affordable.

@@allenschmitz9644 I consider that a good thing actually, when you have morons asking for 20USD per hour as a minimum wage lol If two people offered to do plumbing work for you and one asked 2000USD and the other asked for 200USD (same tools, same skill, same end result) who would you pick? :D

@@hxcAMBERhxc - Yet it is not always this simple. Doctorine talks about making jewelry for family and friends for a few dollars a piece - but she is making copies, apparently, not developing original designs. It is always easier to copy than to come up with something original. Also, she is unlikely to be charging for her time. People who do things for cheap or free may not appreciate it so much when someone comes along and does whatever it is they do for a living for cheaper, or free.

I went to Affordable Art Fair online and went to 'Paintings Under 250 pounds'. The first (and last) that I clicked on turned out to be a print not a painting.
Had to watch this in 3 parts ....GOOD JOB & GREAT UPLOAD !
Galleries and art dealers push any crap there are not interested in art only on money

75% of this is craft not that is no some art in craft but this is bad craft to me the mix on the expo dint mach take all the oil paintings and water color drawings and the rest is flea market crap you get a digital printer and print photographs and mounted on wood and that is art?

Artists are really stretching looking for an original voice. I commend them but this is not affordable art.

Thank you for your videos! I used to go to NYC at least a couple of times a year, to connect with the creative energies there! Now, living in Brazil, I haven’t been able to go there as much. Your videos really help to bridge the distance to the NYC main venues!

Mostly craft or derivative work from true artists... A few real art pieces, but overpriced art students craft's for the most part.

@@KayAmooty433 All sarcasm aside, I think none of us quite understand your personal definition of "affordable", but I'm sure the organizers are clear on their guidelines. Yes, compared to gallery standards, this art is affordable.

I love the comments talking about how "trashy" the show is. There are pieces by Damien Hirst and Anish Kapoor in this show, two of the biggest names in contemporary art. Target and Salvation Army aren't allowed anywhere near their work.

Affordable art?... for who?...People have an overblown opinion of the worth of their "Ho Hum" art. I've purchased better for less than $300.
