@@princesspiplaysbass Just because someone can reasonably claim ignorance of the underlying meaning of a word, doesn't justify using it once they've been made aware of the offensiveness of that word. The origin of the word comes from the derogatory term for the Romani people, often incorrectly referred to as "Gypsies". The connotation of that word is that of being dishonest and thieving in a racial sense. Don't worry about having used it in the past. Just don't use it in the future if you don't want to disrespect an ancient people.
Thanks for the clarification.😊
Poor Great Grandma. Elderly and probably retired, and now she’s raising a 5 year old.
I actually like this sentence. As one judge was always fond of saying "The keys to the prison gate are completely in your hands." It is entirely up to her to get her act together in that first six months if she wants to avoid the full six year ride.
It was only 28 grams of meth🙄
Lol my nieces mom told me one time "I only do meth! It's just a little meth!"
This seems like it's the first time she's been sent to jail... unbelievably lucky until now.
And the reason she thought she could con her way out again, the fear of jail, is the only thing that will usually even bring a chance of stopping.
Did anyone catch the irony; that her stash was kept in a "Paris Hilton" make up bag?
no one travels with a scale unless their dealing drugs
100
Nonsense. I have one to weigh when I buy.
People do use scales when buying so they know the quantity being purchased
True, i have a scale at home to measure out my use. But to travel with one is a huge red flag 😊
They have to air out that court room for days with all that smoke she is blowing out her butt
You can't fix stupid.
Oh, if only!!
Sure you can...
But it's gonna hurt.😁😂
I love how you cleverly titled this case/video, "Woman left in shock.." and Judge Boyd sentenced her to 'Shock Treatment' I used to watch the program 'Scared Straight ' and I think this defendant will greatly benefit from the experience. I'm hoping she does well because if she's able to be released after six months she will likely develop a sense of gratitude. There's a huge difference between six months and *six years* in prison. Hopefully, after she has the opportunity to reflect on her time behind bars it will instill in her the desire to embrace genuine Recovery as well as the willingness to do anything & everything to avoid serving additional time. Judge Boyd is brilliant in assessing what might help each individual defendant be successful.
Damn Judge Boyd! Sent that lady to prison! She wasnt in the mood today!
I was thinking the same thing. Did she do something dangerous? If she's just getting high, that's crazy.
@@jmorris023 getting caught with over an ounce of meth is kind of a big deal.
But can be out in 6 months
@@Matadorpoker Shouldn't be locked up for a substance abuse problem unless you're a danger to someone besides yourself.
Nicely done, Judge Boyd. The defendant is in over her head and needs help. A six- year sentence can become a six-month sentence if she shows a good faith effort.
I hope she’s able to get (and stay) clean.
She’s saving this woman’s life.
So how much does that all cost? Who has that kind if money? But can't take care of her kids? Go straight to jail.
probably stealing from the homes she was cleaning to buy her drugs.
This a good judge she trying to help her change her life. My goodness. People need help it's sad.
The streets have one less drug dealer on the street.
Well, crap, don’t we all leave the house and make sure we have our own personal drug scale?
Judge Boyd is so merciful. America needs more Judges like her!
Full six years in prison keeps her from having more kids.
She thought she was being a fast talker she never thought she would get prison
Doing meth right before going to court. Genius!
calms the nerves ...
Im going to pray for her and her kids.
Very fair judgement. My heart does go out to this lady. Addiction is a disease
It’s crazy that they never need help until they are in front of that judge. Stop offering them ways out make them do their time in prison and wash ur hands of it
Because they eventually get out of jail/prison, society benefits from the judge trying to motivate them to get clean and stay clean.
She sees meth as doctor prescribed drug, lol.
Americans buy in bulk. She got the Costco pack. Then you cut it up for on the go packs. Lol
Her lawyer said "just be honest with the judge"
She was honest about all the wrong things 😂
Lock her up.
Don't see any way she can make it 180 days with a good record to make parole. Without her meth, she is going to be so stressed out
They literally are...what? 😂
So where were your kids when you are getting stoned under stress ? In the room on the other side of the door 😮😮😮😮😮
So she was afraid that she would be denied probation so her choice was to use meth?!
love this judge..straight to the point
Please have better mics for the litigants. You can hear the Honorable Judge very well but the participants not good enough. Judge Boyd is excellent.
Ive watched ten of these court cases with Judge Boyd.. Judge always has fresh flowers on her desk...
Poor lady she only use when she is stressed 😂😂
I can believe that she traveled with a scale to make sure she didn’t get cheated…. But when it is bagged up individually that is considered intent to distribute
That’s a fair sentencing tbh. Usually for that amount it’s like over a decade behind bars. The 180 days then probation deal is MERCY.. Fair judge, respect.
How about let people live their lives, who cares what she wants to smoke
@@Natearl13 Oregon already tried that method. Take a look at Portland, where needles and dead bodies lay across the city due to a drug epidemic. I’m all for weed legalization, but hard drugs? No.

18 months for child sexual abuse….. makes sense??
