I've read some comments before the release of this drama that Wu Lei can't do modern romance genre.. Look at him now, slaying his role as Lin Yiyang in Amidst a Snowstorm of Love! Excellent drama. I love watching snooker tournaments and I have to say, LeiLei really did a good job portraying his role. All his actions and expressions really show what a snooker player does...his eye and body movement personalized the role. I can only confirm, once more, how very versatile Wu Lei is, as an actor FOR ANY ROLE.
I like watching snooker too. When I first read this book, I just had Mark Selby in my mind. Selby’s wife is also a snooker player. Selby proposed to her in Venice and they got married in Cancun I think. Lin’s proposal is as romantic as Selby’s. Selby also has a daughter. Indeed some coincidences, huh? But in reality life is never perfect. Selby was good but then at a low point of his career he admitted that he suffered from depression. His current form is quite disappointing.
The book itself is very romantic, but same as the author’s other books, I have a feeling that the novel is better than the TV series.
I do have some comments on Wu Lei’s performance too, but I think I better wait until I watch the entire series before I can make some fair comments.
Beautifully done. I was a pleasure to watch their chemistry in this romantic Chinese series. I was into it for sure, I look forward to seeing Leo Wu in new C-dramas. Watch it!!

I highly anticipated this drama because Wu Lei is an extremely talented individual and very likable on top of that. He takes the work very seriously and spends the time involved learning and teaching at the same time. It's interesting to hear the actors and director take about their vision for these characters. That said, I could not get past the first five episodes because of the manners of the female lead, the constant texting, the colourless environment and the sport chosen was boring to me. This is the first Wu Lei drama that left me sad and disappointed.

Now that I seen this clip I may agree with you some people find it so sweet those moments but to me if they can just focus on the sports this drama can goes without the FL but then nowadays a drama without a FL & no sweet moments is not a trend....
Actually it’s heavy on the couple story at first because they have to establish a relationship before she leaves.. she’s only there for 2months before a tournament.. then the rest of the story unfolds.. and it’s good that the relationship is established before any sports. You are just used to a certain story telling and are expecting something that is not there.. if you can be more open minded you might enjoy things more.. it’s a romance guys..

this drama is a shy the FL, for the ML is gentle approach which is very unique in any drama. This is incomparable at all, just saying.
This drama needs FL becoz she's the turning point in his life later..without the gurl, he only a lost person in a foreign country searching for something to fill his empty life....without the gurl, yiyang cannot find his true passion in life
