Just subbed and I may want some pocket doors now lol..remodeling a retro house we just purchased..keeping some of its character, but wall paper has been crazy to remove. Try opening the windows when you turn that exhaust thing on..is it an attic fan? I use to have one when we were kids. Id love to see the finished houses!

Those are called Spindles! In case you don't know this yet, NEVER POWER WASH DOUBLE PANED WINDOWS! That can cause permanent misting in between the panes! Ur welcome!
I personally hate pocket doors. Never had them until our nice retirement house. If I come into any $$, I'm going to have regular doors on them Asap. Especially difficult with cats now.

It turned out to be an attic fan and we removed it. I think they were more popular in the days before everyone had central A/C.
