We're building idea three! It's an app called Fabuly. We're using AI somewhat, but only to enhance / make more accessible the creative work of humans. We avoid making "AI Junk" at all costs. For example, if we don't have a human recording, we use AI to generate an audiobook automatically. In the future, we might also consider translating works with AI, for example into local dialect languages. And more features are coming. We've also launched the first short story contest where short stories are converted into audiobooks algorithmically. Users can then listen to them and select their favorite one. The winner gets its short story read by a professional narrator. Human creative work is better than AI. For example, an AI narration can transmit the author's idea with another modality, but it can't add a unique interpretation, which a human can.
I'm hooked on the idea of AI-generated luxury goods! Dan's take on classic books is genius. Can't wait to see what other high-end products come out of this trend.
Love the creativity-so many great ideas packed into one episode! This has been super inspiring for my cofounder and me as we churn out AI products. We've been naturally automating our own tedious tasks, and episodes like this keep the innovation flowing!
The only thing I would add, not to be rude, is how to build trust with the ai idea of accessing someone's file system and I'm sure that's what any one would want, but maybe giving a few bullet points of exactly how you are doing that might attract professionals who might not want to use their time to validate the legitimacy in the swarm of products being offered. Something like that. I really enjoyed the guest and the interviewer who knows how to branch off into topics of profound legitimacy and intrigue through questions that assist in an egalitarian mutual steering of bringing forth inspirational ideas and approaches.
I will definitely agree with entering the new oral voice mode. I watch my two young kids interact with Alexa and Siri and they will expect it to essentially tell them any answer, play any song, do math, or perform any possible magic interaction. It’s just this magic all knowing voice to them and it’s their first computer interface that they started using as early as they could get it to respond to their kid voices, so like 3yo old.
Ai idea that might come. An Ai tool that generates an endless series or movie based on what the viewer wants and feels like watching. We are already seeing this happen with auto-generated video games
Speaking of OCD I have some level of autism I'm sure, so the upvoice at end of most sentences an even many phrases is driving me crazy. Startup idea - replace audio on the fly removing any upvoice that isn't for a question using the person's own voice.
new character unlocked: dan shipper! like and say hello to me in the comments below
thanks for having me! was super fun to chat
dan the man!

I’d be shocked if Netflix hasn’t already thrown some R&D $$$ at this already.

Already working on one of them. Let me know if anyone is interested in a partnership
Good the $ random number has a full format now. It was becoming a bit stale.

AI tool that removes every mention of the word “like”
Great interview, but the excessive use of the word 'like' is annoying.
