Hey thanks guys! Post pics of yours when it is done. I'd love to see it. The seat is just the stock seat pan and foam shaved down with a new vinyl cover. I had an upholstery guy sew up the cover.
I really like this build. Could you possibly put a list of parts you used? I'm going to be building a scrambler and want to get a lot of the same looks as this. Exhaust, handlebars, seat, etc would be awesome.
Being a scramble and if ridden off road it sound and looked from this starting to roll the final chain gearing might be better if further geared down some.
Could you lend any info on how you mounted the mufflers? I'm looking to potential replace my stock muffler on my cl350, but I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to mount the shorties
Great job and video! What tires are those? They fit the bike really well. Not too fat like some do with those thicker firestones. Also where did you get those mufflers? Dimecity either ran out or doesnt carry them anymore.
Thanks Danny! The tires came on the bike when I bought it. I'd assume the owner just bought replacements similar to stock. I believe they are Bridgestones. I can get you their specs soon. The mufflers are from Caferacerx (on ebay). They are the Chrome Shorty Motorcycle Mufflers. I just chopped off the baffles of my stock pipes and clamped these new mufflers on. Checkout my blog of this project build to better explain what I did. www.kellystieler.com/apps/blog/1973-cl-350-honda-scrambler-rebuild
Zebra Muscle DItto on the tires. I was thinking spitfires for the build but I have a 70 CL450 scrambler and I freaking love those tires you have. The white lettering was really creative I was searching the past hour for "Cl350 static Bridgestones on google until I saw the blog:P Would love to know the specs on those bridgestones as well though.
Noah Michael Hi Noah, sorry for the delayed reply! I took a look at my tires and they are Dunlop D404. The white lettering I did myself using spray paint and a cardboard stencil. Here is a link I found to buy them. www.bikebandit.com/tires-tubes/motorcycle-tires/dunlop-d404-motorcycle-tire?b=44623&kpid=44623&gclid=COiqioHj6L8CFWho7AodU00AeQ
Thanks!! It's ok. I've had trouble with the jets and carbs ever since. I've rejetted a bunch, but I am ready to take it into a shop and let them do the tuning for me.
Not dumb. It definitely would if you laid the bike down. I wear high boots because the pipes do radiate alot of heat, but the diameter of the pipe at the spot is small so they tuck in nicely. Long story short, they are not a problem for me but I have the high boots to be cautious.
thanks! and I agree! (sigh). I didn't want to kill my ass with a razor thin seat but im not happy with how puffy this one turned out. I'll fix it one of these days.
So cool. The enthusiasm is palpable!
You did a great job with the bike. It is nice having help with project bikes.
Thank you!
Just awesome. Great to see a young woman experiencing the joy of resurrecting a vintage classic. Good for you.
Hey thanks G Smith! Sure was an awesome experience.
Great job! And you had a girl who helped!
Interesting mix of cafe and scrambler styles.
Made back when 350cc was a lot of bike.
+KutWrite Girl does most of the work and yet you assume she's the helper?
haha Actually the guy helped ;) I am the girl who built the bike!
beautiful :) cant wait to have my cm250 scrambler build finished
What an awesome build! Beautiful results. I hope mine ends up half as nice as that!
Awesome build, bet you had an awesome time building it!
Thanks!! I sure did

I'm think the tires are thicker than stock. Thanks for the info. Hopefully my scrambler project will go half as good as yours did!
Nice results. I'm doing another scrambler project myself. CL 450 but its nice to see how yours turned out as well.
Thank you!
WHAT!? WAIT A MINUTE! I watched a youtube video and actually LIKED the music! Great bike!
Zebra! What the hell! No list of parts (crying emoji).

Kids with guns is a fantastic song
Happy day!
Cafe/brat/escape de scrambler. Linda 👍👍👍
Absolutely stunning build you guys. If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get that exhaust or are those the stock pipes with added mufflers?
cool project!
AWESOME VIDEO...
Being a scramble and if ridden off road it sound and looked from this starting to roll the final chain gearing might be better if further geared down some.
Sweet build! What kind of seat is that and where did you buy it?
what a beauty!!!
Thank you!
Great bike really want more info on the build but the link you posted doesnt work. where can i read the blog about this build?
For whatever dumb reason, I broke the link a while back and now I need to hunt down the blog. When I do, I'll send it your way.
Very nice !!
Thank you!
Did you have any trouble getting those Shorty mufflers around the rear left shock/suspension?
Could you lend any info on how you mounted the mufflers? I'm looking to potential replace my stock muffler on my cl350, but I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to mount the shorties
Where did you find your black rims? Bike looks great
Thanks! The rims are the stock chrome rims that I sandblasted and then spray painted.

Zebra Muscle Danny, the tires are Dunlop D404's
Looooooove ur bike! Where did you go to get all the parts for it?
Beautiful bike! Where did you get the shorty mufflers from? I love the tone.
thanks! I got them from dime city cycles I believe.
awesome !!!
what happened to the website with all the cool pictures of the bike?
Where did you get the mufflers for that? And did you have to rejet your carbs?
Beautiful bike man. Love it! How does it ride?
Thanks!! It's ok. I've had trouble with the jets and carbs ever since. I've rejetted a bunch, but I am ready to take it into a shop and let them do the tuning for me.
check it out: Very rare 1966 Honda 305 Scrambler
this probably is a dumb question - but does the exhaust being that high burn your legs?
Not dumb. It definitely would if you laid the bike down. I wear high boots because the pipes do radiate alot of heat, but the diameter of the pipe at the spot is small so they tuck in nicely. Long story short, they are not a problem for me but I have the high boots to be cautious.
where can i get one ??
really cool bike, except the seat, too big ^^
thanks! and I agree! (sigh). I didn't want to kill my ass with a razor thin seat but im not happy with how puffy this one turned out. I'll fix it one of these days.
Yeah, it's not easy to find the good compromise
tuffside makes a really nice seat
what tire sizes did you go with?
(scratching head) I'm not sure because I'm just running what came with the bike :/ .... And I'm super lazy so i painted the rims with the tires on :o
Zebra Muscle where did you get the seat? motorcycleseatsdirect? is that the full length banana?

I use the existing foam (I carved about 3 inches off the bottom) and then had it reupholstered.
I wouldn't have wrapped the exhaust in heat tape , it looks dumb on that bike . I had a 1973 CL450 Honda when I was 15 yrs. old .
Cool thanks! Lol
Didn't see much building. Couldn't hear much Honda.
Can we get married?
awesome !!!
Thank you!
