For me the best use is destroying barriers you need the leverage upgrade for. It's pretty much your only answer to doors in the No Needles playthrough.
Thanks for some good tips for use of the recycler. Was great to get tips about some of the fairly numerous things you can do in the game which you have to find out about on your own or by word of mouth and/or videos like this one. SIde note: You can actually accidentally recycle yourself? I'd love to see someone make a video where that is done, it would be absolutely hilarious. Seeing your character burst into a hundred balls and cubes sprawling all over the floor and the recycler falling to the ground rolling away over into a corner. After that switch to blackout and then reload. lol
there are multiple schematic for basically any and all of the weapons/ammos/tools/etc whatever you can find except for the "special" stuff and well "key"-items to advance at various points...
I remember recycling several operators to get a ton of minerals... thing is, in my experience the charges are often selective about what they recycle. I just got the plan and stacked up a bunch of items in the maintenance area of the arboretum, right on the pallet near the door to the GUTS and several times it would only recycle one or two instead of all of them. They were all stacked on the pallet, and I've seen the charges suck in items at about that distance, so...? Still I have to agree these are a great example of Arkane really giving the player a wealth of options in how they approach the game. I just wish the charges would be a little more consistent.
If you've played final fantasy, its similar to the X-Zone skill it pulls all monsters into a black hole and it spits out elixirs and hi potions and all sorts of crap
there's a super easy glitch to get unlimited amount of minerals synthetic ect. you just have to go to a recycling station and transfer the mineral or exotic or organic blocks and split it into 4 half's then recycle it and you repeat that over and over and you can accumulate as many as you want

I haven't found that chipset for the recycler charge yet, but it would take away all the fun of impeding terror as it sucks you up
