Born in LaPorte 1946 but grew up on small farm north on 39/LaPorte Rd just across state line in Michigan. My dad's 3 sisters and their families as well as his mother lived there when I was a kid. Visited a lot. We shopped there and I remember the shoe store you showed. Had a cousin who I went with to Woolworths where you could get about anything. Remember some family gatherings at Stone Lake. Dad also worked many years at Allis Chalmers. I did also before going in service in 1967 and after getting out in 1972. Never will forget experiences at LaPorte County fair. I remember in 72 the lounge that was in the Rumley Hotel. Your video is great the way you showed such a variety. Not only the beautiful but also some of the more ordinary and real life. Do you ever ride the Apple Cider Century out of Three Oaks?

I was born in La Porte in 1948 and left in 1970 but return for visits over the years and always looking for video on TH-cam. I appreciate the quality of your video and was able to identify many places in your film. I hope to return and make my own drone video of my home town.
