  • The IMTUF 100 mile ultramarathon is the hardest race to date I have ever run. This documentary describes why it is such an incredibly challenging race and deserves every bit of its place as a Hardrock 100 qualifier. It has approximately 22,000 feet of ascent and descent in just over 100 miles. It is a beautiful mountain race in Idaho just north of Boise near McCall.
    If you get a chance and feel hard enough you should definitely sign up for this race. It will change your life if you can complete this ultra marathon in less than the 36-hour cutoff.

      One day hopefully! I run there every summer. The coolest experience there was pacing the women’s winner the year Ann Trason ran. I got to cruise with Ann and her pacer at mile 65 in the middle of the night trying not to be a nerdy fanboy 😊

      Thank you so much! I don’t know many people that don’t struggle during an endurance race, or even shorter races for some. We all have different challenges, but we can definitely learn from each other.

      @floorockers 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trainspartan4464 you're completely right that we can learn from each other, that's why I like to watch these videos. And also for motivation 😉. My goal is to run in October my first big ultra by running across the island of Hvar in Croatia. That's approximately 75km. I've done some marathons and I'm ready for the next step 🤗 hopefully I can make this dream come true, because with this covid pandemic the rules and restrictions of entering countries are constantly changing and no ones knows how it will be in the autumn.
      What's your next challenge/goal/race?

      If you want an awesome first 100 miler that’s just a fun experience and not too technical the Javelina Jundred is the way to go. It’s got the heat, but is so much fun. It’s a giant costume party/dance rave in the desert! (With a race attached 😂)

      Weather absolutely affects a race of that length and heat for me is especially a killer if I'm not prepared. That's what got me at Bryce Canyon and led to a DNF. Javelina Jundred is another one that can be blazing and is super exposed, but I was really prepared for that one!

      Alright, now hear me out 😂. I picked my pink compression stockings for safety. That way if I got lost I could more easily stand out and flag search and rescue down, or if I got eaten by a bear it would be easier to identify the body as I’m pretty sure I was the only one wearing pink stockings. It was a well thought out plan 👍
