I understand that this is supposed to be a simple explanation for a turbo setup. Another thing that you could make a video about is turbo mapping. That way people get the proper size turbo(s) for their application.
Cool to see you mention the turbo forums! 5.0Thunder checking in! Those budget build threads were the reason I developed my EZ FAB product for beginners wanting stainless hot sides and exhausts. Good explanation and comparisons in this video, thanks!
Thank you. I have been wanting to do this to my 70 mustang but, never knew where to start. Great general information while not trying to sell me something I don't need.
If you think scaffolding is a great tool for a shop like that, go find yourself a man lift (like a JLG or something). Contractors sell them used all the time after being used on a single (or small handful) of jobs so the batteries are usually still in great shape and around here (Southeast WI) they are around $2500 all the time. I never thought I'd use one until I got one for some construction work at my CNC manufacturing shop (about the same size at yours).
Thank you this video helped me soooo much!! I’m a union pipefitter and pipe welder.. I do motors as a hobby! This helped me so much! You made something that seemed so complex simple the same way I do other hands in the field. You impressed me thank you!
Great video, thank you. I have been wanting to here this build run for a long time. So I am looking forward to you firing it up, hopefully the next one.
A properly sized single spools as fast as twins. Twins are for packaging especially when you do not have the room to run a massive single or are making more HP than a single can effectively produce. Watch Richard Holdener tested duals against a single
Thanks Kyle this is why I love to watch your videos so much good information so easy to understandcant wait for the next video. how would a setup work where you have a super charger feeding twin turbos and how big a motor do you need for a turbo?
I know this was posted some time ago but how much do you think it would cost for a fabricator to fab a turbo kit? I already have headers, turbo, wastegate, bov, and intercooler. I would just need the fabricator to merge the headers to a t4 flange, install wastegate, then piping from turbo to intercooler, intercooler to intake and install bov.
Hello, I have been watching ur ch for awhile now. & I think ur a bad ass when it comes to facing. Anyway just wondering if u can fab a Gage cluster panel for a 96 OBS for a Holley terminators. If not can u point me in a direction. Thanks much keep up great content
that is one of the best and most simple explanation of a turbo set up. thanks brother keep grinding
Running piping through the fender and cowl is insane so clean 🤌🏾

Testing out the Super Thanks feature! Love your channel, buddy!
THE MAN. So glad you did this, thank you again sir

Liking the more conversational tempo to your recent videos. Much more of natural feel to them.

Thank you this was very straight forward I’m gonna add one to my 4.3

Cool video Northern tools and scaffolding. It's been 4 minutes and I'm not waiting any longer for you to talk about turbos

Definitely one of the most informative videos in layman's terms I've seen yet. 😎🤙
Great video, thank you. I have been wanting to here this build run for a long time. So I am looking forward to you firing it up, hopefully the next one.
great video answered a lot of my questions and gave a lot suggestions of different options
So to build a turbo setup all I really need is some scaffolding from Northern tool 😐👍
Great video..gave me good understanding
This was very well explained thank you!
Great job and video 👍👍🇨🇱
👌👌👌
Thanks man fo this content very good 👍 info
Thank you so much bro.
Pretty good basic turbo 101 video 👍🏼
Very informative video🔥🔥
Nice job !!

Dam brother. Great video. Thanks for breaking it down
Great explanation of what a turbo is! Enjoy the content keep it up!
I'm trying Kyle...I needed to learn to tig weld..stainless exhaust isn't as easy as it looks...it isn't "metal glue gunning"... 🤔
Thanks Kyle this is why I love to watch your videos so much good information so easy to understandcant wait for the next video.

This is fantastic
Awesome video!!
great explanation!
Great info thank you bruh!!!!!!!!

really depends on materials and routing
How timely, I'm building a locost 7 with a for 2.3. Just this week I bought a used holset hy35w and am starting to plan my setup
cool stuff indeed kyle . so the dome pressure i keep hearing is on the waste gate?
yeah the dome pressure is the amount of pressure applied to counter act the boost pressure that is trying to open the wastegate valve.
is the goose wastegates controlled by CO2 to control it?
I have it setup to either use manifold pressure or c02, depending on what I want to do
smart vid . Somehow I missed this one …
You got Scott Neener feeling pretty good about his life choices right now, I mean who goes from a Lotus Elise to a late 80s S-10?
This video started as a it's Friday tool recommendation
What would determine doing one big turbo or 2 smaller ones?
there is a lot to consider...power range, under hood space, budget...
Could you design a turbo kit without having the vehicle?
I wouldnt want to
Will be doing this eventually! Twin turbo big block, turbos behind the front tires, intake backwards facing the firewall. Should be a fun build!

Insert shamless plug in 3...2...1. I remember the good old days.
Great video man. I've enjoyed watching your builds over the years.
so basically I need a welder because nobody makes a turbo kit for my car. awesome
