I find it hard to believe someone who had the forethought to use an alias and never show their face on camera would travel across the country alone to an undisclosed abandoned location sent to her via email by an anonymous stranger, especially after being told not to and that it was dangerous.
That's because it wasn't real, It's an ARG, her real name is Lauren koopowitz.
There's a very slight chance that Ash Robinson is still alive but i hope she is.
Personally I think she tried to make her channel into an A.R.G but when it never got off the ground she just quit and abandoned her account and life as Ash Robinson and is living a life away from her past

It's probably a fan who has been there. If the videos are real (there is no source stated and the videos are unfindable, so I have my doubts) then they are over 4 years old, which means that people have had a lot of time to go there and write it on the wall to show some kind of support.
Maybe it's just a coincidence. People sometimes write the name of a girl they love on a wall so that she can see it, if they're too afraid to ask her out in person. Though it seems nobody lives anywhere near that place, so it might be related to this.

I mean the abandoned buildings look similar to the videos, but the other stuff doesn't. Perhaps the footage was labeled the Cistern but was random footage uploaded from her camera to catch people's attention. Then the other footage was actually taken there? I feel like that would be the best explanation we could make. Otherwise she really just didn't go, but I will say the footage bears a resemblance in the final 2 videos. Idk, this is just my theory, very odd stuff. Respect for going out there, I appreciate the Bennie and Jets reference.

If you wanted to know if she "probably" filmed that last video she supposedly uploaded then all you would have to do is do a little math if you can find video where you know its here filming and can find the something to measure the height of, because people will almost always film at the same height (within an inch) in the same way when they're doing roughly the same thing, but another person, even of the same height will generally not, and if you suspect foul play then more than likely the film would have been filmed by someone taller (likely being male), meaning the height of the camera would be higher than usual... Again. Yuo can figure this out doing some fairly basic math

There is something that happened recently; I have to wonder if it's related. Somewhat near this area, someone (on TH-cam; won't say who for, privacy reasons)bought a bed mattress from someone. The person they bought it from would not meet with them. It was more of a black-market style exchange. The mattress was left and the person picking up the mattress would take it and leave payment.
In this particular case, they found a woman stuffed inside the box spring. The woman still has not spoken, last I heard. However, evidence suggests that she was captured and sex trafficked. This is not the first time someone has been rescued like that in this area. It should be noted that, if this rescue was intentional, the person doing it is putting themself at great personal risk. I pray that they are being intentionally rescued and that god would keep the rescuers safe.

This is actually a real way people sell or exchange people without getting caught. They list them as furniture items or other objects and sell them. People who know about it can use the internet to buy and sell people without actually having to say that they are selling people.
This actually happened sometime last year on amazon, or at least most people believe it did. There were cabinet units and listed for thousands and thousands of dollars. Far more expensive than they actually were worth. It was only up for a few days before people started getting suspicious and it was taken down.
And I wouldn't doubt that people do sex trafficking business in those areas. They are all over America. Anywhere secluded could be somewhere they do that stuff.
I definitely believe this. Even if this case is not true (which I don't think is the case) something like this could definitely happen. And if whoever made the exchange really was rescuing people then they deserve a lot and I hope they stay safe.

This is what I think, the random stranger TOLD them to go to a location? Why would you listen to a stranger, for all we know it could have been a trap, they meet there, and then got kidnapped or even worse.

This just screams unficiton or ARG, or just a dramatic exit like you said. Human trafficking rarely happens like it does in movies, it’s way more often the case where a significant other forces and grooms you into that situation or a situation where someone is trying to immigrate and is tricked by the human trafficker into thinking they’re going to pay back their services with a normal job but turns out it’s actually sex work etc. It’s very easy to disappear online honestly if you stop using your regular accounts, especially if you’re using an alias. Still an interesting video though for sure!

Here's my problem with actually believing this story to be valid.
We now live in a world where when someone finds a damn polaroid in a Walgreenes parking lot that looks sketchy, it leads to someone being identified and linked to a missing persons case.
So what's going on with this? She's clearly, or at least most likely younger due to being in college and even if her real name isn't "Ash Robinson" one would think it would be fairly easy to discover her real identity.
Where is her family? Police reports? If this were real it would be a huge thing, these videos would be used as evidence, it would be a news story, etc, etc.
A young college girl doesn't go missing without someone raising an alarm. Even if she didn't have family, a Professor, friends, the fucking starbucks employee that she sees on a daily basis.
They would uncover immediately that she was a YT user and see exactly what we're seeing and it would lead to what I've already gone over, investigations, new stories, etc.
I just don't believe it for exactly that reason.
It's very possible that she didn't want to continue with exploring abandoned places for fear of something similar to this happening or for as mundane a reason as burnout, lack of subs, or real life things getting in the way; she may have wanted to just end the thing with a big scary mystery and this would be the way to do it.
There just aren't enough solid reasons to believe this is a true missing persons case.

There are actually tons of missing people every year, it's impossible for each of these stories to be heard.
I think we'd never know if it's real or not because her family aren't required to make the investigation public.

She's not a random transient, she was clearly a person with a life and people in it even if it was minimal there would've been some sort of link or post or public declaration regarding it more than likely.
If you had a loved one whom was active on YT and the cause of their disappearance could be directly related to their channel would you not get that out there into the public consciousness to raise awareness and try to find some sort of lead?
It obviously doesn't add up. There would be more information beyond the channel if it were true.
Occam's razor can definitely be used here to produce a likely scenario, and it isn't that she was kidnapped by someone luring her out into the middle of nowhere.

what weirds me out is how people only took screenshots of the videos when they could have downloaded the whole thing... also, the screenshot for the video where she was kidnapped, there were quite a few dislikes, but there were more likes. which you'd think people would be really, genuinely upset if they saw her being kidnapped and/or abused.
also, i admire tekkit's bravery... i didn't expect him to actually go in the building haha. but yeah, it looks like someone lives there occasionally with the mattresses.
the reason why nobody downloaded the whole videos is because nobody saw the channel, and that is because the channel never existed.

The name also just happens to be a pseudonym and not an uncommon name, meaning thousands of channels could have that name. User who commented, shown at 4:12, are also all very old accounts (~7-8 years was the last post for 2; one posted last year, but after 6 years; one I couldn't find) and seemingly show no interest in this type of content nor seem to match the profile pictures shown.

It is an ARG from what I just saw. There's a youtube channel called 'Anyone' and from their video 2 years ago it has Ash saying 'Thanks for playing along' but she introduced herself as Lauren? The voice is exactly the same so idk for sure but it might be her

I think this is why a lot of discoverers Livestream their voyage, since as soon as anything happens, someone would've been running their screen recorder or something

Funny enough after watching this and then your “NEVER SEARCH THIS” video, I looked through some of those strange videos and stumbled upon a different upload featuring the “tied up woman” video. It appears to be taken somewhere in the Middle East possibly, I’m not sure on the exact language of the title or being spoken in the actual video. It looks like someone wearing a Halloween type mask, tied up and being watched by multiple people including children. I can’t explain the original intent of that (I’m assuming some kind of spooky viral video stunt), but it was most likely seen and used by Ash at some point to get views or possibly start an ARG that fell through pretty quickly.
It is an ARG, but it was pretty successful, it was even a show that she made with someone else on youtube.
