5 turn Helical Antenna experiment.

In this video I'm testing a custom home-made helical antenna on my SKYZONE Cobra x v4 goggles. The inflight video is from the goggles DVR so you can see exactly what I see.
The antenna is a 4x array of 5 turn helical antennas terminated into one SMA plug into my goggles. This was the only antenna used on my goggles.
The VTX is an AKK 5w VTX on max power. Yes, I know 5 watts is crazy. Perhaps I'll try another quad with a weaker VTX at some point. To be honest I haven't seen any real gains with the AKK 5 watt yet.
I was able to fly 1.53 miles out before I chickened out and returned to home. Usually, I experience a lot more break up in this area, even with the 5 watt AKK. At about the .80 to .75 mile mark on the way home i was turning my head 90 degrees left and right and had minimum breakup.
I would call this experiment a success because usually I can't fly much further than a mile from my house.
I will be experimenting with more 5 turn and ten turn antenna arrays soon.
