A few tips I got:
- Rake can only block attacks that are directly in front of him
- If you loop around the edges of the map, Rake will probably not find you. It’s still harder to tell where rake is, but looping around the edges can increase your survival chance if you have no tracker
- Rake likes to sneak up on you when you aren’t looking his direction, so scan your surroundings if you do have to hold still for a sec
He still blocked my attacks when I hit his back, either he can still block or it was a bug.

@Intern101 I think Rake's sneak attack is its new default wandering, what determines if it chases you normally or sneaks up is if you aren't looking (but I could be wrong)
The thing I absolutely LOVE about the remaster is the fact that the rake can sneak up on you when you're not looking back is terrifying as hell.

AFK or not, he will always try to get behind the target to sneak up on them. If you look at him while he’s doing this he will scream and start chasing you. The best move is to always check your sides and your back when you are wandering.
Even in large groups I’ve seen him sneaking up because everyone wasn’t paying attention to the sides or the back.
Exactly, if he comes behind you and you don't see him, he kills you instantly.

Dude i remembered i was in a large group just walking around and i see some white eyes sneaking up on some girl. Me and the dude right next to me noticed that because he looked at it and backed up and no one else didn't. She died. sad story :(

Tips: 1. Rake's eyesight is based on ray casts so he can only detect you if you're not behind him.
2. RAKE CANNOT SNIFF YOU OUT NEITHER HEAR PLAYER MADE SOUNDS. The only sounds he is attracted to are; Power station recharge, Flare gun, (I don't know if this one works yet, but it seems to lure him sometimes) UV Lamp. Locations do not attract him. 3. The ambience doesn't change when he is near, but I think it does when your idling meaning that it is just trying to scare you. 4. Rake can block stun sticks from the front and you can surround him and just hit his back. 5. Rake can detect you in 125 studs and when he does this he walks towards you slowly and crouches toward you when he is 40 studs near. He also starts chasing you if you run during him sneaking on you. 6. Rake also doesn't sneak everywhere. I seen him and he walks randomly. 7. RAKE ISN'T ATTRACTED TO LIGHTS! He isn't attracted to flashlights and such. That's all for my tips!
Actually he can sniff because when i am hiding at safehouse alone and too long I heard sniff sound and when I look at roof yea it's him about to break in
@@LiterallyADino I was bad at explaining this, but he just goes to anyone who is near, and only starts a chase if he can see the player.
I was an OG player in Rake and had no Idea they remastered the game, my first death on night one, was teaching my friend the ropes and he snuck up on me.
This game is actually terrifying now, keeps me on edge the entire time if I have no gear. Thanks for the guide!
I'm not so sure if the rake goes after more hp people, but I'm sure that he leaves you to finish off for later if you're downed and there are other people around. Good video :)

If your in a group of 2 or more if he downs you he chases the other person but if he downs everyone he will comeback and slay all of you
Remember the map might seem large but its not

The rake heads mostly anti-clockwise around the map. First it would probably go to base camp and search it then search the radio tower then go near the burning bus and then go to the shop and will most likely go to the power station, then the Rake will make its way to then safehouse then the well then probably back to the cave because it could hear people a lot when it’s in the middle of the map. If you see it and run clockwise, the Rake will keep on going clockwise for a few seconds or more and if it doesn’t hear or smell anything it will continue going anti-clockwise until it smells/hears some one

with a couple exceptions:
the rake will go full speed wherever the flaregun is shot (during night)
the rake will slowly walk up to the power plant if it is being fixed
but other than that it's still just an ai

This new version looks way cooler and scarier than before and no more glitches now I remember playing this since 2020 of the classic version.

I was playing with a friend (his first time playing) and I used the night vision goggles and I just see the rake sneaking up behind him this game has definitely improved a lot
I joined a public server did some rounds on surviving the rake as soon as i respawned (or so) met a player who is wandering around the map, and gave him some tips that rake can sneak up on you, and as I soon as i gave him some info about rake, rake sneaked up on him and killed him. weird timing right?
When you thought the cave was a “whatever” and you looked behind you to see the rake crouching, it was trying to do something called a sneak attack.
Basically it tries to sneak up behind you, you can’t hear it at all
To counter this, shine your flashlight on him or look at him. Every 5 seconds look at your surroundings, checking for the rake stalking you.
It literally follows anybody that’s closest to him
Noise attracts the rake, so when you’re repairing the power during the night it will go to the power station to check if someone is there
The safe house is probably your best option other than traveling in a group, since it takes a while for the rake to break into the safe house. Try to open the door and run quickly, as it will go off the roof to kill someone inside, or running outside. Following that, a group traveling is a very safe option.
Multiple people can either navigate or check for a sneak attack, and if the chase starts you’ll be okay.
If you get downed, it won’t finish you off. This is because the rake will go after people with the most health. If you’re downed alone, it’s going to finish you off. While in a group, it will go after everyone else. If everyone is downed or everyone else gets out of sight of the rake but you’re still in his sight, he’s going to finish you off. Shortly after being downed, you’ll be able to crawl, then stand up. You will then be in the “injured” state. Which doesn’t allow you to run, then the hurt state which is the same as Injured but you can run. Remember to save your stamina, as you need a full bar to run away completely.

When i hear rake wanting to break the roof and im with other people, immediately when i hear him break in i open the door and then run behind the safe house or go to power station and when its day again and he hasnt heard me, i would go back to safe house
Also while in the safe house in a group stay in a corner most likely one player will run out the safe house that will cause the rake to chase after them then you have to quickly close the door and so yeah if powers put get players to stand on each side of the house use one player as bait once he comes everyone but the bait leaves the house and run around the house then it will glitch the rake and he will try to get the player inside and then make sure not to trigger him to chase or it fails
The Raje now has a sense of survival to it, not kill Rake, win game, get badge, repeat. It also has that horror factor to. It’s not the fact that you’re alone (because you usually come across people a lot) it’s the fact that you feel watched.

I have a tip for nightvision users
If you need a good visual on your surroundings or on rake go to the observation tower and looks from there
fog is not much of an issue anymore so you can see rake from a safe distance now

@@bruh8545 I have a bad PC but for flashlight visibility use low graphics because if you use high the lighting will make sharper shadows I recommend graphics 4 or 5

i actually was confused when i came out of the safehouse and looked at my right for like 5 seconds and the next thing i see is him one shotting me, that explains it, thanks man, very cool.
My advice is to keep moving. Stay in groups and keep moving. If you keep moving he has less of a chance of aggroeing on you or people in your group. Make sure that at least 1 person in your group has a rake tracker. And if you here a flare go off somewhere stay away from it but keep the direction in mind because the rake will most likely come from whatever direction the flare came from. Don't stay in the safehouse or the tower as it will always find you.
Dude this one time me and my friends were camping at the tower (like we always do) and the rake came. Bad news 2 of us were injured and the first friend jumped down and got downed followed by the rest of us and he finished us off one by one
3:30 facts right there, but you wanna turn around every time evem when travelling also, when going in groups, try not to follow people while being chased by a rake since the person you where follow has almost no stam left and you'll get him/her killed unless you outrun it

1:27 here's an additional, advanced, tip for anyone that wants it.
When going in for a stun as you can see in the video you want to swing before you're in range. It's a little difficult to explain but if you swing and touch the rake with the stick it'll still stun the rake and you can swing again imideatly after. So you get two swings in one pretty much. Be careful if you try doing this, it takes more energy and risks you getting hurt a little more.

I honestly knew all of these and im not sure why this is so unknown to the majority of rake players. You got kids that sit in safe house with the door closed during day, people that wont open the door, people that steal supply drops, and then theres people that open the safe door too soon when rake is on top of the house.
its so hard to play when i have those types of players in my servers. especially the players who steal supply drops and die with uv or stun stick instantly after getting it😭
I don't know if this is true, but when I was playing Rake, it had only one eye open, which I thought was a flashlight, so I began running there and when I was about 10 meters away I realized it was Rake and I died

One thing I noticed that might work in groups is that if one of the survivors turn around and look directly at his eyes it should stop him from sneaking up on you since when he sneaking on you. You have to look at him right

@@wowok8196 If that doesn't work then try and run for a second. This will immediately trigger the Rake to start attacking because he thinks that you know his presence.

In classic if the big boy players were in the game basically the rake was a punching bag. But now the Rake can block and outsource stronger fish it requires teamwork rather than just a simple gang beat up

The first time I played this, I found myself at the exact spot you were at at 1:04, it was night and it was all red, I was chilling in a corner. I remember I heard a loud boom and it said the power went out, then 2 seconds later, I see something corner around the tent and it just grabs me.

Basically if your in a group make sure there's the guy that always look they're surroundings or he will just sneak up on someone.
Rake can stealth kill obviously.
Tower is probably not the safest thing in the game, not recommended to stay there too long.
You can actually hear rake footsteps, and jumping sounds, yeah he's just very sneaky.
Rake can block your attacks(only stunstick, this does not contain beartrap and eerie).
There's a rare chance rake activate blood hour by itself without players activating it but I'm not sure.

I saw the rake come up to someone next to me a couple of times and ran as soon as I saw it, leaving the victim confused until it was too late i felt bad for them afterwards
I found a bug with a random person that i met in this game, and the bug is so busted so basically if you stand at the back of the safe house ( still inside it ) and dont move ( leave the door open ) then the rake just circles around the house and he cant find the door and he cant jump on top of the house to go through the roof so he just circles around the house and cant kill you, its busted

Honestly game is 10x harder you can't really see and you gotta look all around you so you don't die but in older version the rake just yelled and did not sneak also remaster map is harder you gotta go around hills and stuff which is annoying

Technically it has a Low chance of Sneaking behind you since your Walk speed is actually faster than his Crouch plus you can kinda hear it cause i had this Encounter with him former 500 survivals btw
Here for my tips survival. always checks around you,save up for vitamins and A UV light why not stun cause if u get chase and your stamina not full u can atleast slow him and when u full u can run away. If rake chase u and he stop just keep run don't stay at the same place or go back Cause rake can still track you i just found out how he play.also if u want big him theres two bug the one on tower idk how It work but i seen this bug on tower the rake keep falling and stop chasing then he go up again.and the second when u shoot flare rake is just standing near the create also one more tip always shoot flare on base camp normally rake searching people on safe house cave and tower. It give you time to open.if u shoot flare i recommended u need run first rake Will literally run fast to the location. That my tips
One of the most useful tip I have is to turn your temperature and saturation all the way up on your monitor. This way you will have free night vision. Feels a bit unfair when I use it, but it sure is helpful.
Not everyone plays on PC
I’ve outrun the rake with 60%-70% sprint and I’d say that’s the minimum so you don’t need a full bar but you should definitely conserve it.
A good tip is to have a compass and remember the number where the things are. Like if you want to go to the Shop or Safehouse or Powerplant remember the number that comes up when you use the compass.

I don't know if you really remember me but, I have been in the comments in a lot of your videos. I'd also like to say that when rake is doing his special stealth mode, his eyes don't glow until its that close. and I think (someone told me this) that if you have a vest and he does that on you. I think it downs you. not sure but. I hope this is true. also do not ever fight rake alone. its almost impossible to solo him now.
oh also now tracker is really useful. before it wasn't that useful. now it is, since rake always sneaks up now. until you see him or someone else sees him. chases only start if hes seen.
here's also a few things:
Rake does not kill you if your downed in a group with people. giving you a chance to get up and stay alive. its best to Atleast have 1 or 2 friends ingame with you. they can save you a lot.
if you die too much with the same items collected from shop, you'll lose some of them. idk if its a bug. but. you can lose a ton of stuff if you die too much.
its also best to stay on the move. Don't think of standing still. he knows where you are at all times. just like VarieZ mentioned. don't ever go afk. if you're gonna afk. do it at day, but you'll have 2 minutes. so hurry.
Safe house roof takes longer to break. so plan the escape, there's 4 stages for the roof of safe house. not damaged, slightly damaged, damaged, broken. but it takes time for rake to break it fully. so you have time to think of an escape.
medkits can heal downed people. so its best to have a plan on whos a medic and such. role classes are now a thing (this isn't canon, but these class stuff are up to you. if you want to help others survive and such.)
old flare locations have been swapped. so all those people who remembered them in old, these will be new. I haven't even found all of them, I know some but not all.
though i want to say this the most. the revamp made the game much much harder and scarier. hope i helped a bit aswell.

We were in the safe house, with doors closed and lights off, he does not go into chase mode and he just kept sniffing and going around the house.

@@cybercritterowo Currently His AI Is More Buggy With Safe House, He Sometimes Just Walks Away, Or If The Door Is Closed, He Can Bug On The Door, And Not Move At All. Hope RVVZ Fixes It.

I love this game; But I don’t like how when you lose your items that you bought you have to buy them back.
TIP: Also I’m sure everyone knows this but try not to turn on the lights at the tower.
TIP: To find the tower you have to find the cave; look for the cave opening then go towards the way of the cave opening ( go past the cave in the opposite direction of the opening,) then keep walking till you see a fence in between two trees. Keep going until you see the tower.
A thing I like to do while in an group and inside the safe house is to be in the corner of the safe house while everybody is near the door. Sometimes when they leave early, the rake targets them as they're running about.
However when it does break in, I get downed but still alive while everybody else runs. I have survived quite a bit of nights doing this.
I've learned a lot about the Rake's behaviors using reshade to analyze his patterns. He has a few phases. I've also learned some good tricks as well from personal experience. Also, this may be somewhat lackluster in group-based tips, mainly because I solo most of the time. But I hope the info helps.
-1st Phase: Roaming
--This happens usually when there is no one in a certain distance, which will cause him to roam a little bit (usually near a singular spot). But this happens most of the time when the night starts and he roams by the cave. Just stay by the edges of the map to lower the odds of him targeting you. This is the least common phase. Just stay far away.
-2nd Phase: Stalking
--This is where he locks onto the nearest player and walks up to them at a constant pace. He is usually at a median distance and never falls short, typically one just out of range of your flashlight (but not your NVGs) This is the phase you need to be worried about the most as he is constantly following someone, and this is the most common phase he is usually in. During this phase it is best to check your surroundings and keep your light on and always look for glowing eyes behind or in front of you. The rake will lose direction of you if you lead him to another player if you know he's stalking you. You can also lead the rake to certain locations if needed (not suggested unless you aren't alone). Also, the rake will only sneak when it's not in your direct Field of Vision. Just keep moving.
-3rd Phase: Sneaking
--This is one of it's deadliest phases, if you do not spot it in time, you will die silently and instantly. During this phase the rake will crouch and sneak upon a player from behind (guaranteed). This phase usually happens if one is not vigilant of their surroundings. The best way to counter this is by checking your surroundings frequently. If you're in a group, it can kill multiple people silently in a short amount of time, it can slaughter your group without you even knowing it. But typically, when it attacks a group you will more than likely spot it, but one member will be dead by the time you notice it attacking. Also, it will initiate a chase when you sprint or shine your light on it. Just stay vigilant.
-4th Phase: Chasing
--This is it's phase that probably made you ALT+F4. It enters this phase with a screech and a turn of your camera. This may seem scary, but don't worry, it takes 1 half to 3/4 of your stamina bar to successfully escape it. If you sprint until your stamina runs out (or 3/4 is out), it is advised to keep moving and DO NOT stay still. Typically after a chase, the rake will enter it's stalking phase again and stalk YOU and nobody else (unless you lead it to someone else). if you keep moving your stamina will regenerate whilst keeping a steady distance from the rake. It can still sneak up on you after a chase, so keep your eyes on the general direction you ran from while your stamina regenerates. Just run in a straight line, drain your stamina, keep calm.
-5th Phase: Blood Hour / Fury
--At this point, you're basically as good as dead. During this state, the rake will enter a rage state similar to 096. It will take a long while before actually raging with a dreadfully long build up. You will always know where the rake is due to how loud he is in this state. He also has a red light on his sight line. During his actual rage, he will target the nearest player and go into an unrelentless sprint to kill the nearest player, then the next player closest, and so forth. He is also FASTER than you in this state, even if you were to use your stamina bar AND an additional 2 or so more stamina bars straight (through pills), he'd still get you. There will be an immediate power outage to this state as well, preventing any electronics from being used. The best way to counter this is to stay as far as possible, and lead the rake to other people to save yourself. This state lasts usually around a minute or more before daylight comes. This phase is entered only when the rake reaches critical health. Just pray and try not to ALT+F4.
-Target Swapping
--The Rake will ALWAYS target the closest player, so staying away from distant screeches and footsteps is your best play. It will target someone else if you lead it to someone else and give reasonable distance from said person. Like the video says, it will target the person with the most vitality (HP). This means that the rake will target players up and walking rather than the downed ones. Note that, the rake will not down you and just kill you on it's final strike when no one else is around. Also, the rake will run after the source of where a flare gun is shot, the flare gun is a viable distraction tool. Another distraction is an occupied safe house. The rake will ALWAYS prioritize flare guns and occupied safe houses. The Rake will always initiate straight line chases or straight line sneak ups as well (as part of it's poor navigation). It will avoid obstacles though, but the rake will always follow behind you and take the shortest path, and no other direction if there are no interferences.
-Sniffing
-- This is a short little period that the rake stops and makes a sniffing noise, then reinitiating it's stalking phase. This is a dead give away to it's direction. The best way to locate the rake is by listening for sniffs. Once you hear a sniff, you'll know it's near. Listen for footsteps getting closer in the general direction of the sniff. Keep away from the footsteps, once you located the rake undetected, you're as safe as ever.
-Tips
1. Always keep moving.
2. Do frequent 360s
3. Don't be afraid to stop and listen for noise
4. Run in straight lines
5. Always keep your light on
6. Never go into the safehouse, unless leading the rake away
7. Stay at the edge of the map
8. If you have 6th Sense and are on PC, tune your sound accordingly for footsteps (high-mid Hz) and low scrap sounds (low-mid Hz)
9. If you're on PC AND have a NVIDIA Graphics card, look for tutorials on reshade and get Rim Lighting Shaders for long distance Night Vision, this all involves NVIDIA Ansel
10. Keep that ALT+F4 disabled
-Combat Tips:
--The best way to combat the rake is by hitting consistent swings. You want to hit the rake BEFORE it tries hitting you. Like hitting it right as it's approaching you and it's just out of your stun stick range. The best spot to hit it is on it's head. The stun stick to it's head is about 30 damage, the body is 15; it's total HP is around 400. It's always a good idea to have friends, being a solo isn't for everyone; as the game is best played on PC. Your gear needs to consist of armor (optional), stun stick, UV Lamp, a trap, stims, and a Power Monitor. Since it's going to be dark, it's best to fight the rake by the light tower on the ground, unless you have the NVG pass. The best way you want to combo onto the rake is to drain your stamina on hitting them. But if they block your attacks, try to circle the rake to get a backshot and prevent a followed up block attack. The best positioning is to hit the rake from the rear. When your stamina eventually drains, you want to shine your UV lamp on it, but don't run until your UV lamp runs out of juice. When you do run out of juice, you want to be as far as possible from the rake when your lamp gone out (preferably towards the edge of it's range). When you do run you should have half-3/4 of your stamina bar charged. This is the bare minimum to get away from the rake in a straight line, so run until your stamina runs out. If you feel you don't have enough stamina, use your stims. But if you want to play it extra risky, when you're about two stun stick swings away from running out of stamina, use your stims and quickly swap back to the stun stick and continue swinging. Even if you don't have the stim animation finish, you'll get the effect. So effectively, you can one shot combo the rake like the guy in the video did (if uninterrupted by blocks).
TL;DR: Keep a good gear and lighting conditions, stay far, stay vigilant, run in straight lines, and keep consistent stun stick swings. Never stay still, keep good hearing. Stick with friends, tune audio, reshade, what ever it takes to get rich on scrap.

Here’s something has happens a lot, which I don’t know how to defend myself from. I was in a group, and I just randomly got killed by the rake. What’s weirder is that the tracker user nearby didn’t see their tracker show that the rake was close. It’s as if the rake just randomly teleported to me and insta-killed me
same happened to me, me and my friend were on the tower and we were always looking on the stairs to see if rake is climbing, and i just instantly died even tho we heard rake at the power plant 30 seconds before i died so it must've been some bug, i dont see this bug anymore
@@cpxbni I think I just figured out why it happens. So, as it turns out, whenever the Rake stops chasing someone, the Rake teleports somewhere. Note: it can teleport ANYWHERE, usually to someone the Rake had downed. Anyway, I’m guessing that someone was being chased. They managed to escape him, so he teleported. Unfortunately, he teleported to right where I was standing, which is VERY unfair, as you have literally NO way of knowing if he will or will not teleport to you.
This is not teleport. Rake actually sneak while the beep of the tracker doesnt beep. Or your friend is not turn tracker on. Rake doesnt teleport at all, he just sneak right behind you without a noticed. I once saw the Rake sneak behind us while in a group, i immediatly run. So make sure watch around you and your back every 3 - 4 seconds.

@@cpxbni The rake doesnt make noise when he climbing, especially sneak. BUT if you shine the light down the laddar, it will scream and chase to you
here’s my survival tips/how i survive:
-save up for tracker and power tracker (idk name). if not then wait until day and find flare and get the tracker from it
- if power is low and it’s day, keep the safe house door shut and waste power so that you can restore it and it is 100% by the time it is dark (only do this if power is below 20%)
- stay by safe house door (inside) but keep door open. use tracker if he’s close then close the door. no tracker -> listen for footsteps or nearby screams/attacked people
-if he is at safe house, close the door and turn of lights/flashlights and DO NOT MOVE. he WILL circle the house sniffing around, he will go on the roof and break a few planks periodically and repeat. he will eventually go away or someone will come and chase him away (it usually happens).
-if the rake is surrounding the safe house, it would help other players (around the map) by telling them that the rake is investigating safe house and that they’re okay to roam without much fear. if he leaves, let them know so they can go back to hiding.
- do not run, just walk. if you hear - heavy footsteps, screams, attacked person close by or sniffing…just run until you’re far.
- don’t shine your flashlight when he is near. it only makes him aggressive.
-if you’re at tower and he is coming, the light on the tower never works for me. so what i do is i see if from a distance right, so i climb down the ladder and jump and run the opposite direction from where the rake is at.
- i suggest a time/watch. when power goes out, check the time before powering it up. if you power it up with around a few seconds/ a minute left, he will kill you because he might be near and attracted to the sound of the power up. so wait a few seconds/minute ‘till morning and then power it up. so then you’ll have 100% power by nightfall.
- ALWAYS communicate. and always travel in groups if you find the opportunity.
-if someone is messing around or wasting power on purpose, flee. you don’t wanna be around them as they are gonna get u and themselves killed.

@@finwasfound not anymore. it’ll only make him charge after you if he was sneaking up on you in the first place. if you use the stun bat thing or the big flash machine (you can buy this at the store or get them from an airdrop case) then it’ll stun him. :)

Tips : when you alone you must keep your eyes around you because if you dont spot the rake the rake will kill you in 1 hit
Ok so few maybe usless tips and usful:
-If the rake chases you and you see a person run up to him and rake will chase that man
-Its really really best if you get a tracker and walk at the end of the map because you will atleast have 61% to survive
-If your in a cabin dont close the door if its not nessecary.
-If you join the game and its during night time stay in the menu cuz u will likely die if you survive you get no points
-Rake can track lights because he has a very good sight and distance so he will likely target you and you would have 40% to survive
-If you wanna fight the rake its best you get vitimans becuase you will need it for running without it your a dead man
-If he chases you and your near a military tent go beside the entrance and you can trap him to the walls & if your far away this will work but near welp lets say you have 0.1% chance to trap him
Finnaly after 2 years of waiting, we got the greatest update ever!
One thing I love about this game is the fact its so hard to figure out where you are and yet the map is so small it feels much larger at night

then i started saying "he could be anywhere.. he could be you.. he could be me and even right behind yo-!
before i finished saying it the rake bass boosted scream at me and started chasing me when i looked behind me lol
One major tip that can help most of the time, Stay out of his line of sight and AVOID populated areas. Like the Safehouse, Basecamp, and the tower, sometimes to shop since players camp there, etc.
One tip l recommend for killing the rake is to aim for the head of the rake it will do much more damage somewhere around 20 damage to the rake. But hits in the body does 2-6 damage
One thing of rakes behavior is that going outside the safehouse while rake is in near safehouse no matter what is inside the safehouse he will sttill target you outside the safehouse

i recommend buying toolbox and tracker for this remastered version. Every single time when im fixing power the rake appears so maybe with toolbox im able to fix it faster?
He goes near power station after it has been fixed, but I am not sure if he goes there when a power outage happens.

I use my stamina for 1 second after i hear the rake scream in a direction and then preserve it again, so i'm always full of stamina.
I have one tip which is probably known to many people
When you have no stamina but you have UV light and rake is attacking you then you can keep blinding him until your stamina regenerates
Just knowing in the back of your head that if you go afk, look at the map/cameras too long, or camp a spot, you can get wrecked and snuck up on if you don't watch your 6.

If ur in the safe house the rake might start breaking the safe house roof but won't fully do it he only fully breaks the roof if he sees you
Craziest thing I see about this remaster is how he literally has more thinking and programming like it’s scary to see how smart the rake is like how he uses stealth and evolves his tactics
things that i found that the rake could climb on the tower somehow without using the ladders
he couldnt do that before, last time i was afking on the tower while looking at the ladder to make sure if the rake is there or not

Does anyone know if on console the flashlights aren't as bright since I feel like I can barely see with the flashlight and im in constant darkness but when I see pc gameplay it looks like the flashlight is better and that they can see a but in front of them.

How do u stun the rake with flash light when I put out flash light while he's in chase mode my light is so dim I don't even realize I put it on and dosent stun
Did looping still work at this game i mean at the base cus if u circle around over and over he Will keep chasing u but not other. Also when people have a good loot try to bait the rake to u or protection hit and bait him away from the Pro player.

If your in the cabin and he knows your inside, he will start sniffing and jump on the roof and hit it once and jump down and start sniffing again to try and confuse you or bait you. It happened a few times to me. Also if your in the cabin, he might stare at you through the window until you shine a light on him and he will then attack
That also happened to me, i heard him getting up to the roof and trying to break the planks, so i ran out and he's just chilling in the door like he was waiting for me. I died because he blocked the door.
This is wrong, the Rake breaks the wood but doesn't actually drop down.
As long as you don’t hear him scream you should probably just stay in ur corner and don’t move lol. btw he will know that you are in the cabin if he screams and don’t flash him either

Yeah it's kinda like a stealth mode but it's called the stalk mode so for better detection always watch your backs and stay to the borders especially when your lost in the darkness don't forget to watch your backs while in the borders!

Yeah the stealth mode thing. I personally say dont use cameras because whilst you use cameras you cant move so then the rake can “backstab” you
use camera in a safe place like safe house
Gold Tip: just walk arround the map until and buy a compass because it will help you to find flare guns and take the bat to kill rake
I think when we run our footsteps noises(you can hear your footsteps while running) but when we walk then rake cannot found us because while walking you cannot hear footsteps found(you can also try this)
Tip-stay in a group it will calm down your fear
my ways to survive ive been doing this alot on old version idk if the new version wont work i just go far away until i have hitted invisible wall and loop around the edges and i would always bring my tracker to track rake yeah that much about it

Earlier today me and a couple other were hiding in the safe house, I was checking the cameras, then the rake came and started breaking the boards so I opened the door so it could go kill the others then some girl escaped but slowly and the rake jumped off the roof and slowly followed her it was so funny lol

Another tip:Rake can turn off his glow eyes and that was terrifiying when I first saw it so look around for anything that seems to move
i can barely see when i 1st spawn in because all i got is a flashlight that doesnt even work
I think i have a problem cuz when i turn on the flashlight the item i cant see the light caming to the flashlight but when outside dark it only show a little light

Things i discovered:
-Rake targets the people who hurted him
-The lowest hp he has, the more he blocks
-The SafeHouse light will blink when turned on if the Rake is near
-The same item can spawn 5 times in a crate (dumb feature)
GODDAMN how many times i screamed after rake sneaked up on me while i was tryna type something in a radio
i got killed by a troller like the rake was following him and i was running. the troller run at me and left. and i got no stamina so i die
also, when eerie hits him, he starts to block attacks faster, he starts to run faster, it's like "eerie after hit phase 2"
Oh interesting
He does that if he is damaged (though I am not sure how much), he becomes angrier, he will also do more damage.
