First job my hands are usually cold but after that all toasty :-) Well done for dumping the unreliable customer. I would ask the customer if it was OK if I leave van there while I clean next door. Thank god for electric hose reels 🙂

I texted her and asked as she has little kids and they were ill. She said it was fine.

I don’t blame you binning off that customer , for every person like that there are a couple of decent people crying out for a reliable window cleaner, like you I want a round of decent reliable people, you’ve got some
    Nice jobs 👍🏻

Thank for the comment. Yeah it’s a constant thing replace the customers you don’t want with new better priced work until you have a decent round.

I would have stayed parked in the first house and dragged the hose too. But it may be easier to drag the hose out and clean the second house first.

Did window cleaning on and off for a few years when my building work used to slow down. It took off quite well. I started with just 3 calls and ended up with about 400. Never used pole system though as it wasn't around back then. It was up and down the ladder for me. I wouldn't have though pole system would be any good as you can't really see the window close up, but it must work as you and other guys have been doing it for a few year now.

If it’s done correctly then it does the same job if not better. It gets a bad name sometimes because people have bad technique and the method is blamed for the bad job. Been using it 4 years and have had very few complaints.

Quick question about the Reel, I have just bought one myself as I’ve got sick of winding and got a good black Friday deal. At the front there is little Alan key Type bolt. What dose it do😅

Good video. Do you do any paid advertising or just word of mouth now?

For window cleaning just word of mouth, I used Checkatrade for gutter cleaning as well.

Would you recommend the blueman back pack to start up with??? I've seen a set up with one included???

Why dont you invest a little more and get Hose and hose reel. Shurflo Pump or Similar off Amazon etc , and 12 volt battery and work direct from your van.. Save you hogging that back around .. Go trad for a few months and save up the money for equipment which will save you a lot of energy ( stress )

@@yourcleanerwindows6969 I haven't got a van and to be honest your story inspired me. Worked for 26yrs at one job. Just been thinking of being self employed. MY OWN BOSS 👍

@ if you wanted to try it then a backpack set up is a good way to start. I wouldn’t suggest using it long term and to be honest I should have upgraded a lot sooner than I did. It will always come in handy in the future though.
