For starters, I'd recommend you a group called "Silver Mt Zion" and more specifically albums "He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms... " and "Born into Trouble as the Sparks Fly Upward " (I'm choosing these two, because they sort of have a similar sound to "Momoir #2" and their a good ease into the genre)

Honestly, and no offense, this is not a good slowed + reverb version of the song. It's a little too slow and because of that, it's a little too creepy to give the proper hopeless depressive vibe. This song is supposed to give the feeling of hopelessness yet docile exceptance. This sounds like an evil force is coming down on our protagonist and is unstoppable and has a tragic backstory. It just needs to be faster.
