I'm familiar with the SATB arrangement, having sung it in high school choirs as a teen. This performance is sublime - I love that the male vocalist was given the soprano part he clearly shines at - while the female vocalist give richness to the lower register part. (It seems a mix of alto and bass to me, as I'm more familiar with the soprano and tenor lines I've sung)
Lovely voices, they pair very well together. It's always a pleasure to hear a female chorister that doesn't overpower the male counterpart, and singing in a lower register works wonders here.

My son is a Chorister in the Grand Rapids Choir of Men and Boys. He is quite good(not biased at all). Yes, I know. I was surprised that the choristers of the year 2016, Edward Hyde and Florence Cain, did not sing it considering it was broadcast on 9 April 2017. Perhaps one of the choristers of the year 2016 was not available... And fortunately, being still relatively young, Angus Benton was able to sing it.

Why show a mother with her lambs in a song all about beauty and joy? The lambs will mostly likely be taken away from their mommy to be slaughtered, and their mommy will be slaughtered eventually too.
