never fails to give me chills.
If there’s one thing I love about games, no matter how well developed they are, it’s the little details.
I like how the game subtly hints a difference between actually talking to the hiker and when the goatman’s trying to trick you.
You know you’re talking to the hiker because he speaks in a panic, he’s terrified and frantic.
When he’s trying to trick you his tone is flat, slow, almost lifeless, and his sentences make little to no sense.
The goatman can mimic a voice but not emotion.
Not subtle at all, the difference in tone and speech pattern is a smoking gun that'spretty hard to miss.
Well the goatman did mimic anger and desperation when he reached tower 2 before the hiker did. He yelled about the tower being empty and etc.
That’s cus the goat man WAS angry. He couldn’t Mimic the hiker’s fear because the goatman wasn’t afraid.

See, this is what I wanted Firewatch to be. I'd LOVE a game with this cryptid horror factor and Firewatch's playtime, character depth, and exploration.

I find it creppy that thoughout the run the goatmans scream gets louder because that means its getting closer to your tower
The layout of the room is interesting. There’s a bulletin board with articles about and drawings of the monster in the woods, the windows are boarded up and there’s a weird symbol on one of the wood pieces, there’s papers all over the floor…I wonder if this guy knows what’s out there.

Does the Goatman have a radio too? If he can operate a radio why the fuck is he doing chasing down food when he can get paid to do creepy pasta video voice overs?
Because he doesn't WANT to cure cancer, he wants to turn people into dinosaurs.
My theory is that the goatman may have picked up radios from past victims, as we can see from the newspapers the goatman has already killed a few, so it would of made sense for it to have tuned in to gracewinds radio frequency to use it to taunt both the rangers and other hikers.

He just has a voice that can magically tune into radio frequencies.

Why does the hiker die in ending 4 what went wrong
They went on a side path so the operator (player) left them to die.
How do i see the hiker could be the monster because in ending 4 says "Hello, can you see me?" And he really acts weirdly saying "RUN,NOW" and saying things that creep us out. 🤔
The hiker and the goatman are different people. If they were the same there wouldn’t be endings where the hiker dies,p. The goatman is just mimicking the hiker’s voice.
