    What made so great, besides his speed and athletic ability, was his ability to go left equally as good as he could go right. I’ve never seen a right handed player prefer going left and finishing with his left. Not only was he equally great with both hands, but he had so many moves, and was a master at getting by his defender and if needed splitting the double and/or triple team that was ready to help. His ability to get to the rim, and finish, was the best I’ve ever seen for a guard. This is why even when he slowed down he was still able to be productive. He had a bag full of tricks.

I’m like defenses knew he wasn’t a shooter, tried to stop him from going to the basket and they were left dumbfounded when he had a 40 ball at the end of the game going the same direction the whole game. Lol. Nobody today is slowing a prime d wade down.

      Wade was amazing, but LeBron was better than Wade every step of their careers after their rookie and sophomore seasons. He brought just a bit more value in each of their primes and obviously more value later on. They were the top 2 in the NBA for 7-8 years though.

    • @julianowilliams3263
      @julianowilliams3263 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Just Sayin Lebron couldn’t play off ball and has no postgame and it’s been proven lebrons not as good at making his team better like everyone claims. Granted he did take that trash team to the finals in 07 but he’s also a stat padder and has an insane usage rate. Wade spent 3 years in college and learned the game better before entering the league and it showed later in his career after he took the backseat to lebron. He could play off ball and adapt to his situation. Dwade was much better in crunch time and loved the moment. Wade taught Lebron how to win. So no, in their primes Lebron does not offer more than wade.

    • @justsayin669
      @justsayin669 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@julianowilliams3263
      I love Wade as a player, but I disagree. LeBron has developed a post game. It's not necessarily great, but he shows flashes and can do enough down there to uphold the rest of his offensive game which I think makes him the greatest offensive player of all time. LeBron obviously doesn't thrive off ball, but he's always been a threat off ball with his cutting and diving to the hoop. He's never utilized the back door cut often and he's obviously not the off ball screen-weaving, catch and shoot type, but he's never needed that in order to be better than Wade or everyone else in the league. LeBron is so good at what he does as the first option on a team that he doesn't really need to do the things that players that may be a bit more flexible in role need to learn. LeBron has been the first option running the show for 17 years and he's still doing an all time job at it so it's not like he needed to learn anything he lacks as he aged. He has developed certain things and changed/added to his offensive arsenal to where any lost athleticism is unnoticeable on the stat sheet and he still should be the guy running the show for ANY team that he could possibly play for. Even without LeBron's lack of college experience and any lack of off ball ability, he is and has been the best in the league since at least 2005-06. He finds a way to excel in every major category because depending on what we are talking about, he either has the skill, size, strength, athleticism or combination of to just effect the game in a big way. Wade in his prime was also one of the greatest overall players we've seen (especially for a guard), but he wasn't quite LeBron. At the very least LeBron was able to effect the game as good or better than Wade in every relevant category (scoring, passing, defending) except he was unquestionably a better rebounder. Most would say, "of course, he's taller". Well it's still an advantage. There are few players I would take over Wade in crunch time, but LeBron is one of them especially if we aren't just talking about game winning possessions and include the last few minutes in close games. I also don't buy into the idea that Wade taught LeBron how to win. LeBron already knew how to win, he just didn't have any real contending rosters or good coaches in Cleveland his first 7 years.
      I'm not sure if you are overrating Wade a bit or underrating LeBron a bit, but LeBron and Wade were #1 and #2 in that order in the NBA from at least 2005-06 through 2012-13 imo with the exception of Wade's 2007-08 season because of injury.

      @@Shottamanrambo he was better than Bron that year, it's the Heat's record that didn't win him the award. I think this is still the only season in NBA history when a player reached +2000 points +500 assists +500 boards +100 steals and +100 blocks.

    The people that never got to witness this Wade are the ones who dare compare current players to him and put harden and others above him. This Wade right here is able to be compared to every single great of all time that’s ever played. He’s foot work, slashing, finishing, explosiveness, mid range, post, jumper, defense, steals, blocks and ability to hit the clutch play was one of the best I’ve ever seen.

    The man just couldn’t be guarded from 06-2011. Shit, players could barely handle old man wade too. That’s why i don’t understand guys who can’t shoot who don’t master other ways too score. He wasn’t a major threat from 3. But when u can’t be stopped from attacking the rim, u make fts, u have a low post and high post game, and u have the mid range, plus all types of floaters and runners, it doesn’t even matter that u can’t shoot 3s. And then he was never a liability. If the game was on the line and I needed a 3, he could get hot and he would drill any shot he needed. He was never scared of shooting anything. And no defender in their right mind was sagging off of him and allowing him to shoot regardless of if he could shoot it or not.
