You can put Slavs above the villagers head to keep golems from spawning in the villager chamber. If the iron golems spawn in the villager chamber then they wont spawn where they are supposed to.

Maybe you did something wrong becouse golems can't spawn on 2 blocks place and you can just change the cobbelstone that is under the villagers with leavs that woud work
I built mine in the spawn chunk so it would constantly be working but it doesn’t unless I’m right there, does PE not have that mechanic that keeps the spawn chunk loaded?
Spawn Chunk does not tick (update) in Bedrock Edition. The work around is to enable cheats and use /tickingarea command to set up to 10 different areas (each up to 4 chunks) in any dimension that'll tick regardless of player position. You should look into it.

I've been making this farm in all my worlds for a while now, but in 1.19, as soon as I put down the 11th bed, these guys start breeding, even though I'm well out of range of my village and base and none of them have a job. Breeding definitely seems to have changed. I put down 20 beds and ended up with 19 villagers... no food, no jobs... just wall to wall villagers!
I have a vilager breeder 100 blocks away from my iron golom farm but the iron golom spawn in the midle of the vilager breeder and iron golom farm and now l havento put slabs all the way for them to don't spawn there any more lol:)
I think as long as it's in your render distance (as long as u r able to see it from a particular distance ) It is afkable but u can do your stuffs along with having the farm working.
@Ethan Swann same happened to me in my last world so i had ti make a small hut kind of thing stayed there like 1hr. I juts thought it would be working if u are vicinity of it but never tried to go far enough. If i went 50-60 it kept stoping to work (my render is of 5 so) .so why not stay there if it is needed Then my small mind had an idea why not make an fish farm over there or any kind of efficient farm that can work there so i made one and yeah that was worth it
@Ethan Swann also if I was not in mobile an afk fish farm was possible with auto clicker (Or probably there is one in playstore Out there but never tried)

When you guys make the villager room, use leaves instead of cobblestone, so golems don’t spawn there

It works smoothly u will get about 23 ingots in five min i personally created 5 of these farms and they gave me almost 150 ingots in 5 min
