Thank you for review. It is my wife's favorite controller! But Beitong released new controllers Beitong Kunpeng 20 and Beitong Kunpeng 40, and in my opinion much more interesting models. Especially Beitong Kunpeng 40. Both have an amazing mechanical d-pad for games, stop triggers, well build quality, cool mechanical face buttons and new "Beitong tecnologies". And Beitong Kunpeng 40 can be a competitor to the Vader 4Pro. I have both and can really recommend these models.
I'll be reviewing the Kunpeng 20 shortly. I think Beitong convinced me that they have the makings of great controller makers but at the same time, I could tell the Asura 2 Pro+ was not their best attempt, despite being a solid one. I'm excited to continue discovering this brand. Thanks for sharing too!
@@GameTechTalk can't wait for your review of the cyclone 2 and kunpeng controllers. Hopefully you're able to get both the 20 and 40. Dpad on it is great too. Basically the same as the flydigi one lol slightly louder tho
@@GameTechTalk Asura 2 Pro+ is very "meeehhh" gamepad! But they are evolving very fast! I like their Zeus 2. And I can assure you that Kunpeng 20 is a great controller and Kunpeng 40 even better!
Dpad testing: 1) Rolling moves with the Street Fighter (like you did) 2) Contra test: can you intentionally fire at diagonals and straight cardinal directions. 3) Super Metroid: wall jumping (there's a section where these little aliens show you how to do it. they jump back and forth between alternating walls. Create a save state here to test. this is THE BEST test for a good precision dpad).
I love your reviews yours on the tarantula pro got me to buy and I don't regret it. I'm wondering if you'll do a review on the new powerA ops V3 pro controller.
Unfortunately, it seems complicated for PowerA to send me a unit as I am in Canada and for the time being, I am at capacity from buying products. Sadly, I think the Ops V3 may not be reviewed by me. My apologies!
With the right products, they are a lot easier to pull off but I assure you there are many footage I captured where I would look incapable of doing them. What's the saying: "A craftsman is only as good as his tools". Not completely true, not completely false either! ;)
What would you say is the best dapd you've used? I almost exclusively play fighting games, but I do play other games when I feel like it so I like to stay on controller instead of something like a hitbox or arcade stick. I hate having a bunch of different peripherals for different things if it's possible to have one for multiple things.
That's a tough question to be honest but right now, one of the most "well rounded" controller that I've tested in all of the controllers I've laid hands on in the last year or two is the Blitz 2. It's got a phenomenal D-pad, swappable options too, it's got a killer software, killer gyro implementation, both options have very good sticks. It's got 4 buttons, 2000hz polling rate, dongle, ps mode, xbox mode, works on the Switch. The one potential caveat? The triggers are not analog, I don't play racing games so I don't care personally. But as far as a "well rounded"? Yeah I think I'd put Blitz 2 TMR or Blitz 2 ALPS at the top of that list currently.
Beitong is definitely odd. Sometimes, their controller are under a "Betop" branding, not sure why. I have the Beitong BTP-H2 in my collection, and the only other Beitong controller i can see myself getting is their split controller, the Beitong G3, but it's never listed on a decent marketplace.
I saw that one, I was a bit curious as it looks to be one very legitimate competitor to the X4 Aileron. I got enough on my plate for now but I'll see if they can provide a review unit in due time. Thanks for sharing inputs!
I did consider buying it befor , but like you said for 10 to 20 euro less you can get a Vader 4 Pro or Bigbig won Blitz 2 TMR or Gamesir Turantula and those are really good. as for the response time in gamepadla this controller has 25.86ms delay on the sticks with xinput with doungle , and 18.18ms Xinput when wirded, those are the ones i use and those numbers are not good . but seriously if the company fixed this delay after an update , gamepadla is not showing that in a clear way. I tried gyro aiming with the blitz 2 and it's amazing, i am using the extra button near the left trigger to use gyro when holding .
TOLD YOU IT WAS AMAZING!! 😤 Ahahaha joking aside, this will probably get me stuck in a hole and poured Minecraft lava on but I think 5-20ms is perfectly fine, 20-35ms is manageable and in some cases not a problem if other elements improve other factors, like great algorithm. Past 35ms, it's a "no thank you". Now of course, it always depends on the games too and the overall equipment that may add latency on top.
@@GameTechTalk i don't think that gyro aiming is needed in Minecraft lol, i am still trying it, and mainly play solo story games but i play all kinds , and now and not even from the developers i think it's possible to use the gyro to aim. The thing with the delay, the blitze 2 is rocking 4,15ms with dongle and 2,42ms stick delay wired . I think the combined high stick resolution, the high polling rate, the button actuation time, the triggers, the ergonomics ... All makes you aim better. And the Asura 2 pro 2000Hz selling point is kinda pointless at this point. And the triggers aren't good (but not bad), i have seen other reviews. Foydigi is perfect in most of those things they're just still not using TMR.
Keen eye! Guess I didn't push that dot strong enough on my keyboard, oops! Either that or this controller has Energon and will transform while I'm sleeping! 😅
Idk if you know this but on sites that test latency “buttons and analogs” poll rates and all that, this has some horrible latency even when wired. 25.86 MS average. That’s much worse than even the Vader 4 Pro which is known for bad latency at around 14 MS. A couple of the best so far are Dualsense Edge and Blitz 2 at around 2 MS. Of course the average gamer won’t notice it. Like they don’t notice the difference with ALPS and Linear.
Of course, I am an avid consumer of Gamepadla! So, hot take most likely. To me, at least in my current setup, 5-20ms I can work with absolutely fine, 20-35ms, more than bearable and with positive aspects, it can ever overtake some 5-20ms because to some extent, I can compensate once I get accustomed. Past 35ms, it's trash. But I play on top cutting edge equipment too, latency can stack up on many fronts, by extremely limiting it elsewhere, the one coming from the controller itself is not as bad. All that in mind, the Asura 2 Pro+ 2000Hz does have redeemable qualities, and one of them was how good the sticks performed but it took me a couple games to get there. Compensation. Something like the Blitz 2? It was greater from the first game! ;)
@ speaking of the sticks. I forgot to ask. How’s the tension on the Blitz feel? I hated the loose ones on the G7SE. And the size in your hands. You’re a bigger guy so I imagine you like larger controllers. I’m the opposite.
@@TylerJovan I'm bigger from never recovering from the COVID lifestyle 🤣 but in reality, I'm 5'9", pretty average sized hands. I don't necessarily like bigger controllers, I cramped hard on the Wolverine V3 Pro for example, that one's a chungus. Also, for sticks, no need leaving it to guesswork, I have a measuring tool. GameSir G7 HE (I don't have an SE with me) and the T7 both measured at 50tgf, so did the Blitz 2 ALPS & TMR. Maybe they'll feel a bit better from being brand new but I expect that they should be about the same. (There can be a slight variability from manufacturing)
