I wish they would have portrayed more of the blue collar crabbers who have been there going back more than ten generations. They have the most unique accents in America. Seriously, they speak like real life pirates out there on Hatteras and Ocracoke
So fun fact: Madison Bailey “Kiara”, Madelyn Cline “Sarah” and Drew Starkey “Rafe” are all from the Carolina’s. Madison is from Kernersville North Carolina, Drew is from Hickory North Carolina, and Madelyn is from Goose Creek South Carolina (near Charleston)….and ironically enough, Madison Bailey’s girlfriend Mariah Linney is also from Goose Creek. Even though the show takes place in OBX North Carolina, they actually shot most of the show in Charleston South Carolina because when the show first started filming, North Carolina had very homophobic laws (Madison is LGBTQIA+) they also shot some scenes in Barbados, and this new season….Morocco. OBX is a real place, kinda similar to how the show depicts it but Kildare Island is not a real place….its a combination of two counties with those names but the names were combined for the show. Figure Eight is a real island there, and it’s exactly as the show depicts it but you can only go there by boat and if you live there. The Cut is also a real place to but under a different name.
I hope you guys react to the whole entire show cuz season 4 just came out and they're making a season 5 season 5 is going to be the last season they do so I really hope you guys catch up it's a really good show
If JJ says he and John B don't have anything to lose and John B parents are not at home, don't expect too much of JJ's parents, you will see if you continue cause in my opinion it only gets better especially ep 4 and onward
