Your channel popped up in my recommended few days ago. All of these are fun to binge watch. I didnt have a Videonow but my brother had one that was square and could play color
I used to use my juice box as an mp3 player. I had gotten it for christmas. I think there was a cartridge you could install an sd card in it. I loved that thing. I ended up selling it in a garage sale because I wanted to get a psp.. good times.
The Juice Box's rubbery exterior can actually be scraped away with a plastic card and some patience. I used that method on the one I've had since I was a kid and it did the trick. It won't end up looking very good cosmetically if you go down this route though. I've also heard that rubbing alcohol can be helpful in getting that kind of gunk off. I actually ordered another Juice Box so I could give that a shot. I'll try disassembling it as well since that would make it much easier to clean off.
I've heard the same about rubbing alcohol. We were worried about ruining the integrity of the Juice Box for the video by doing anything, but I could see how that'd be a good solution. Do let us know how that works out for you!
Don't know if anyone's said this, but just use nail polish remover on your juicebox carefully avoiding the screen or jucebox logo to get rid of the rubber gunk. I used acetone free and I completely forget my juicebox's ever had that. They look perfect!
Dang, I miss my VideoNow!! I had a ton of those little CDs, though I watched like 4 of them at a time...I miss those days. Hard to believe things like these are now built into our phones, even more honestly.
I was an 80s kid, I had a sega gamegear with a TV attachment. It worked pretty well and was in color but sadly it ATE the hell out of batteries, so using in a car or plane didn't last long. In school, I could watch it using an AC plug-in in my last two classes study hall and Woodshop or graphic arts
I've actually tried finding the TV attachment for the game gear. It would make for a cool video, but my game gear has bad caps in it. So the screen looks really bad. Sega was pretty wild back in the day
I have the videonow players all except the Jr. And a blue juice box and no cartridges except the MP3 cartridge. It still works, listening to music on it now. It runs uCLinux and i've replaced the internal speaker three times because the output power of the amplifier in this thing can make even those tiny mylar speakers found in toys sound reasonably good. I have a speaker in it now from my old digital voice recorder that was falling apart. It distorts on bass but other than that it sounds pretty good.
we had a videonow and watched the same episode of SpongeBob over and over. also had juicebox and ripped blink 182 cds to mp3 and listened to music with it on car rides
I have a Digiblast from the 2005. It's a game console but you can play video's and music on it. I have the Dutch version of the Digiblast and the Italian version. I have a lot of Digiblast games and video's on my TH-cam channel
Cool vid I have the video now color edition that I had when I was a kid. The color version has a back light to it. I still use my video now for long trips. I also have the gba video from when ij was a kid too. I have sonic X and jimmy neutron gba carts. Have no practical use for the gba carts so I just have them in a draw. Never knew there was another video player like the jukebox
Bro for years I’ve been tryna figure out what the small red rectangle thing I used to watch ed Edd n eddy on wax and now I’m pretty sure it was a juice box
Dont know if it counts. I would rip videos off youtube and put them on my 5th gen iPod. I watched the same two Smosh video every day on the bus for a year.
I put the Scooby Begins Movie on my DS and various Intros to listen to on my old cell phones. They couldnt hold much, but damn I took every bit of space I could. XD
I’m 29 now. I was probably like 9 when these were popular. 2005 my sister got an iPod nano and I got a juice box after my friend game me his video now color. I preferred the juice box it came with a micro SD card reader I could load up MP3 on. I couldn’t burn cds for the video now. The juice box was the best of all 3 when using them legally. Modded? Come one the GBA wins hands down. I wouldn’t be surprised if it could play full res 32bit color video at 60 fps. But that’s mods. What is the Juice Box capable of really when modded?
I loved the video now. I used to bring it on the bus in elementary school and I remember kids being blown away lol
HOLY FUCKING SHIT I FOUND WHAT IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SINCE I JOINED TH-cam. A SMALL CHANNEL WITH QUALITY AND PERSONALITY.

The videonow color?

LOVE binge watching this channel! Great video!
The Playstation Portable Was Also A Video Player Too.
Add a layer of resin over the juice box to fix the sticky issue
Will it act as like a shell, or rub it off?
@@PhoneDawg A shell
A fellow kirby right back at ya fan, I see?
Kirby keeps us united
2:20 actually you can wash it off with isopropyl alcohol

Leaving a comment Mr dawg. Have you ever heard of the playaway view?
I haven't, I'm about to look it up now. Did you have one?
@@PhoneDawg I had one of them..they could only hold one show I had this shark documentary
Technically the color version did have a back light (just not the black and white)
Didn't know that! I've never seen one in person.
You can get them on a site called Mercari for good deals
we had a videonow and watched the same episode of SpongeBob over and over. also had juicebox and ripped blink 182 cds to mp3 and listened to music with it on car rides
I remember watching the same episode of Yugioh over and over on the juice box. It was pretty incredible

The PSP kinda counts, because you could watch movies and cartoons portably on that!
How much was the original video now I remember them being kind of pricey
If I had to guess, probably anywhere from 60 to 100

Really you should have bought a color version of the VideoNow to make it a fair comparison.
Our mindset was more like what we had growing up versus what is more fair
the juicebox was also an mp3 player
0:00 damn... back to 2006
Bro for years I’ve been tryna figure out what the small red rectangle thing I used to watch ed Edd n eddy on wax and now I’m pretty sure it was a juice box
The video now looks like Among Us
Dont know if it counts. I would rip videos off youtube and put them on my 5th gen iPod. I watched the same two Smosh video every day on the bus for a year.
Which two?
