Compared to other platforms, you'll be able to exist in your own space with very minimal hate, if any! Honestly, I recommend Tumblr, at least give it a shot!

Tumblr culture has evolved to spite and flaunting the fact that our stupid site survived to see other social media sites fall, and when Tumblr tried being like TikTok and made its own shorts format (Tumblr Live), nobody liked the fact it existed and we kept fighting against it until the staff was like “fine. we’ll get rid of it”. I was born in Tumblr and I’ll die in Tumblr. We are the pettiest, most duct-tape-connected garbage website and we are like “yes, and?”
also tumblr is somehow (which is absolutely WILD) one of the more bearable and healthy social medias to be on nowadays. the best part about tumblr imo is that you are able to really curate your experience and mostly you will mainly see people in the same general community as you are in since other parts of tumblr are way less likely to interact with your stuff. it also doesnt have an algorithm really, even if it has it as a feature, because you can turn it off (which most people do) and then just see mainly what the people you follow post and reblog, and not a random ass post made by a huge bigot or something (most of the time. sadly tumblr blaze can still put random posts on your dash but they are more easy to avoid)
U & Stormi helped me get into the fandom; FNaF might've made me one bc of how much I loved it to the point of making OCs & junk, but y'all made me aware of the furry fandom. :)

I'm not a fursuit maker but I do have one thing I've heard several makers and suiters say: Avoid using white for the feet or long tails. The reason being that these are the parts of the suit that have most contact with the ground or floor and so when it gets dirty, the discoloring will be far more obvious than if it were pretty much any other color.
A Thresher Shark would definitely make a good sona Pocari 💙💙 also the StreetSharks cartoon from the 90s could fall into a category of creating a Fursona or OC, I actually am in the works for creating a Tiger Shark sona based on that cartoon XD
I like people like you in this fandom. it contains a nice and clean light on this fandom which is characterized by the fact that not everyone is a creep. people like you made me ignore the dark side and join the fandom again. Me personally I don’t like closed species like how you can’t just be like “hey cool protogen let’s add wings” but.. my solution to that was just to make a completely new sub species and take away and add features..and now I have a weird killer humming bird robot.. so ig it worked out.. but I still don’t enjoy them, closed species just are unappealing. I understand having certain things be forbidden to keep the base species and not have a 4 year old make a glitter pup monstrosity and kinda ruin the image (not all in that sense but yk) but paying 1,000 dollars for an adoptable that you can’t even change the disinge of is just crazy to me, and yes. About the question about hq furs in my experience howl is the best quality but bigZ is a little bit cheaper still very good quality but I have a few yards of howl they it feel like butter I love it
6:00 If you like TF2, I really recommend another game that’s owned and technically made by the same company! If you like semi outdated, but still great humor and game mechanics, I recommend Portal and Portal 2! It’s my all time favorite game!
Tumblr didn't go anywhere. It's still right there. It has a flourishing furry community and I see a bunch of great art on there from artists and furry blogs who share that art. It's a great place to go and share art and find other furries. The biggest thing that I think turns people off is the lack of an algorithm that feeds you content (which for me is a preference), but if you're willing to put in the small effort to find the content you want and follow people who make and share that content it's a fantastic place to be. All you need to know with tumblr is how to properly tag things so you can find posts of specific communities and so your posts can be found by others in that community. It has it's issue with toxic communities like any social media site, but we can just block and move on, I also love being able to block specific terms so I don't have to see certain content.
