I'm sure everyone has their favourite song, the last one they listen to before they fall asleep when all the wine is gone. This is it for me. This came on the radio when my best friend and I drove across the golden gate bridge after a trip across the States in a van. It means the world to me. A bookmark to flick back to. The best time in my life.
Hey, four years later, I was walking to work this morning blasting this in my headphones! What an absolute classic this is! ❤️🙌 so weird for me to comment on a random Michelle branch video at half three in the morning but here we are. Hope you’re having the best day x
One of my favorite songs of yours! When I first bought your cd back in the day listened to this all the time. I had such a huge crush on you. You're Gorgeous and have a Beautiful Voice and always have.
I was 5 when I bought "Hotel Paper" (born in '97). Needless to say I've been hooked on your music from an early age! Still one of my favorite artists. This brings me back. Can't believe it's been 13 years!
Crimson9724 I was seven years of age when her 'Hotel Paper' album was released (2003) :) I remember hearing 'Are You Happy Now?' being played on the radio station in the car and being really sad when it was played. Now the song just gives me conflicting feelings and major nostalgia
I was the same way with Amy Grant. I still love going to her concerts. Only in the last couple years did I start really listening to Michelle Branch but I grew up with her music as well. It just had been a really long time since I had heard her other than her songs on the radio. But I love her music so much, she is my current favorite artist.
I almost started cryin at "please dont drive me home tonight"..I can tell its a very personal song If I even get emotional singing it. This song is beautiful and michelle is a big inspiration :) shes got lungs her strumming pattern is dope
I don't know if its bc we're both Cancers...but when she said this song was personal I could tell she would cry if she said it...the most bizarre thing is this song came at a time in my life right when things started to unfold so it's been extremely impactful, meaningful and personal as well..Thanks MB!!!
Wow. Stunning. Not an easy song to sing (even with her awesome voice). Lot of passion in Michelle’s performance. I still play the studio track today. Such a wonderful talent.
Swear on everything that is holy. If I ever win the lottery, I'm hooking you up Michelle. You deserve it, excellent display of artistic merit and I hold my word. Getting a ticket tonight.
Wonderful Song - it's sad that U have only 1,4 K Subscribers, you deserve some millions. Your songs are so beautiful and deep - keep fighting for your music.

I miss you Michelle Branch ❤
I STILL listen to this song all the time! Michelle Branch, like Vanessa Carlton, is one where her music is just timeless to me.
