    What is Lucid Dreaming? Lucid dreaming (sometimes called astral projection although they're not quite the same) is the ability to become SELF AWARE in your dreams, meaning you can control them and experience whatever you want. You can live out your fantasies and be, do, see or feel ANYTHING.
    There are also many benefits to lucid dreaming, such as improved sleep, more energy, more confidence, and more restorative sleep. Not to mention the fact you can become more CONSCIOUS, and experience the impossible!
    I'm Stef, the guy behind HowToLucid, and I'm dedicated to helping you learn how to lucid dream. I've been lucid dreaming for over 8 years now and I have a passion for dreams, personal development and travel. Follow my journey, and please leave a comment now, if you've read all of this, letting me know your best lucid dream experience!
    If you want to know how to lucid dream tonight or really quickly, check out my other videos on my channel. I have tutorials on how to induce lucid dreams easily and sleep better. Explore lucid dreaming with me!

    My scariest lucid dream i ever had in my life was when i walked into my home and saw a shadowy guy standing in the corner..Then for some reason i started getting closer to it...like if something was controlling me ..I sweated hard and my heart beat went so fast...as soon as my face were basically touching his face i woke up with Heavy breathing and sweat all over my body...That's when i froze under neath the blanket for 5 dead hours watching my door and being paranoid...I was happy when i started hearing birds outside...

    I've been trying to lucid dream for months now, on and off, but I've been trying really consistently for about 2-3 weeks at a time.
    I do everything right except for two things: I don't have a stable sleep schedule, and I don't keep a dream journal because I have very bad dream recall so it's kinda pointless.
    I know these are crucial things, but I figured that despite them I _should've_ had a lucid dream by now with enough persistence. Still, nothing yet.
    I'm thinking about stopping the neurotic reality checks for a while and focusing on sleeping well and improving my dream recall before I carry on with everything else. Some nights I don't even get hypnagogia, and so far I have never had 'advanced hypnagogia' in my life. The purple/green shapes just keep floating around until I fall asleep or I stare at them too intently and become dizzy- I have never seen them outline an image of any kind, though.
    Also I've tried mostly a combination of two techniques to reach lucidity, WILD and MILD, which are not the easiest ones but apparently are the most effective.
    Still, I'm kinda frustrated that I've failed completely after this long. Any other tips I should keep in mind?

    • @shivangisarkar3014
      @shivangisarkar3014 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      NorthWind Before starting to lucid dream I had insomnia. I just couldn't sleep, it still is a problem. I think you should meditate more which will help you recall your dream and do keep a journal. Recalling and being aware is the whole point behind lucid dreaming. And maybe try WILD with WBTB.

    • @northwind6199
      @northwind6199 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I am insomniac as well, and not the "pop culture" type of insomniac that everyone for some reason thinks it's cool to say they are, but the "I haven't slept in two days, I feel like I'm dying but I still can't fall asleep" type. I've tried medication, herbs, various teas, I've even considered taking anti-depressants during a particularly bad period.
      The techniques used in LD have actually helped me maintain a relatively more stable sleep schedule- however, some of the more advanced achievements still elude me.
      My dream recall is completely random, my hypnagogia is underwhelming and doesn't ever transform into a dream, at least not before i become exhausted and fall asleep. And of course, no lucidity.
      Lately, I must say that in my dreams I _have_ been acting a lot more freely, however. I used to have lots of nightmares where my actions were against my will or somehow restricted or absurd, whereas now most of the times when I can remember my dream, I realize that my actions were pretty much what I'd have done in real life. Not sure if that's a sign or not.
      Also, I've tried WBTB in combination with WILD, during the nights I can afford to mess up my sleep even further. Still no results, however. Sometimes I fall asleep immediately, some others I can't go back to sleep at all, some others I try to meditate but it never turns into a dream and eventually I fall asleep. Not sure if I'm making some mistake tho.

    • @thegreateggort1641
      @thegreateggort1641 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my opinion, while starting out and since you don’t experience a lot of hypnagogic imagery, maybe you should stick with MILD and DILD, mixed with RCs and being more aware throughout the day, plus meditation like another comment suggested, you should start to get results. I just had the issue where I couldn’t lucid dream (for a little over two months even though I was doing everything correct), but before that I was having at least one LD every month for a few months even though I just started last year.

But if, for example, you would like to get lucid every night for next two weeks, how often you will succeed? Would you get lucid every night?
    Thank you.

    Obviously sleep paralysis can be scary... but really try to keep yourself calm. If you end up not able to handle it anymore, count to 3, and thrust your body as hard as you can. But I recommend keeping calm and letting your mind take you to another place. Don’t think about the fact that you’re in sleep paralysis, focus on something else.

      It can be hard, but don’t worry! I’m here for you and those hallucinations are just in your head. I promise you’ll be okay, and yeah it’s not a big of a deal but it’s gonna be okay
      Soon you’ll reach your limits

    I think I’m fine if the chance of having sleep paralysis. I love horror and stuff and to be honest I’m not uncomfortable with the thought of death. Not that I’m suicidal, just that I don’t really care to put my life on the line in heavy situations.

    I don't know if it was a lucid dream but it was feeling so real and so scary.
    So, I was in a maze. I was walking around. The sky was a greenish tone. I couldn't really see clear but zOmbIes were following me. After I ran for a while, I got to a money bank and then some zombies were coming after me and I died and I woke up, crying.

    Lucid dreaming for me feels like I'm daydreaming the dream. It's slightly more vivid than a normal dream yet I feel like my mind wills what happens in it

    • @sebarus8108
      @sebarus8108 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      patrick digilio You might have poor recall or you might not know how to clarify the dream. A full lucid dream is extremely vivid and will feel like you are actually there as if you were awake. Next time you can try to order your dream to become more clear and it probably will.
