The launch control turns this car into an animal. LOVE IT! The GTS also finished a test loop that took 5-minutes in a Cayman R in exactly the same time. It drives smaller than it looks. Amazing how cheap cars are in the U.S. I am from Australia and I just checked and it is going for $339,000 which has 1100 km's on it. Absolute bargain for you guys. And I think they look great as well!
Please allow me to explain the 9 windshield washing "squirters". These cars are designed to be driven at higher speeds than what is legal in North American roads. Where you are driving at any speed above 110 mph, the force of the wind/air is so great that having only 2 squirters while trying to wipe your windows is pointless, since the liquid doesn't properly disperse over the area of the windshield even with brand new wipers. When I'm on the autobahn and have to wipe my windows, I have to slow down to about 120 km/h (approx. 75 mph) to get the job done. Surprising for my Mercedes E to only have 2 "squirters", but it is what it is. Now, if I had the 9 squirters available on the Panamera, while driving at 130 mph, I would be able to properly wash my windshields without having to slow down. Hope this helps; simple air dynamics and physics explanation.
Pregnant turtle? No. That's a beautiful car. I've never been a Porsche guy...never understood the appeal, but this is the first Porsche that actually does it for me. Every time I see a Panamera on the road, I do a double take because it's a Porsche...that I actually like!
I’d love to know what this puts down for horsepower at a mile above sea level. The average loss of power for a naturally aspirated engine is 3-5% for every 1,000 feet of elevation gained. On the low end of 3% that means this Panamera GTS is losing 64.5 horsepower at 5,000 feet giving it an estimated 365.5 horsepower at the crank. It’s possible it could be losing more power than that and it could be losing less. A 5.8 second 0-60 mph time is impressive at a mile high considering the power losses and weight. As a resident of Colorado who lives just north of Denver any vehicles I buy now must be either turbo or supercharged so I don’t have to deal with the power losses. We were really disappointed when we first moved here and found out my wife’s BMW 545i was losing 50 horsepower due to the elevation. Thankfully it’s time to replace the 545 and the newer 550i is twin turbocharged after the 5 series was updated in the 2012 model year. No more power losses with forced induction.

sry old man..but pass 9yrs manual cars have decline drasticaly over automated or dual clutch vehicles..all the old people is dying and technology is just progressing..and nowadays everyone just wanna text and drive or talk on the phone and drive at the same time while going fast..or slurp on a 7eleven slurpy lol
The Panamera is a huge huge let down as far as I am concerned. It's ugly, over sized and that V8 is not the awesome boxer engine that has been with Porsche for ages. A lack of a manual transmission just seals the deal and proves it's just an oversized ugly car for people that don't know how to really drive a car.

I wouldn't call it a supercar, but it is fast. I like to see how it matches up against other similar models.

the only difference between the current version and a coupe version would change from 4 to 2 side doors,preserving the real four seats.
the PDK double clutch automatic was the best idea for this car for the best 0-60 time. It's a heavy car.

It's not impossible when you've got a vehicle tax of 180%, in addition to a sales tax of 25% which also applies to vehicles.
This car will be way faster in California. These guy's 0-60 times are notoriously low, but that's expected due to their elevation.
I wonder how this car would compare to a CTS-V coupe in a straight line...
