I've never had an AquaClear. It reminds me of my old Marineland Penguin powerhead. I tried without success years ago to connect it to my CPR overflow. Glad you got it figured out.👍🏾
that sicce voyager 270gph was too big in any direction in my 14gallon, even directed right at the glass it blew my candy canes off their body. would you recommend this for something like a 5.5gallong tank or is it too much?

I still have a Penguin powerhead, I never throw anything away, drives the wife crazy 😁

On the bottom part there is an adjustable slide that will reduce the flow, but for a tank as small as 5.5 gallon I do not know.
