you are right about dugan being an ass. he just like tries to get himself killed by fighting scorpion when he should be going somewhere out of scorpion's reach. and also he should have some weapons so he could take care of the aim soldiers quickly and by himself and also in the omega base in story mode dugan is useless in the fight with crimson dynamo and the aim troopers because he only throws a few punches and lets you take care of the rest.
To beat Scorpion, use web warrior, it won't pull him but it will do far more damage than his other web attacks. When you spam it a few times, it will trigger the Dugan button saving sequence. Now you have to prevent Dugan from getting hurt here and that is it.

When i did this with him he was a mainstay on my team so maybe that's why as my spidey was leveled up and able to kill and survive. the trick with Dum Dum Dugan is to use spidey slow down power 9 forget the name of it but its a boost). use that to constantly buy you some time to kill scorpion and the baddies while you check on Dugan
This mission made me realize how lousy Spidey is in this game. Like jeez he's kind of weak, which sucks for me since he's my favorite Marvel character. And Dum Dum Dugan is the worst thing about this game, ever. I was literally screaming his name in rage as he repeatedly walked up to get bitchsmacked by Scorpion. The guy is there just to piss you off. Dum Dum indeed.
XRaiser0 Spider-Man is more of a support character, so of course he doesn’t really have powers for damaging enemies. He works better with a team than on his own.

Use your spider sense power and then use that web pull. It'll do more damage and combine that with melee attacks.

I use Iron Spider costume(+15 striking and dodge) and gave Spidey Ulik's Fists for 10% critical strike. Afterwards he's a decent brawler.
