i love this too much! having Steve, FX, and Matt Dubber together isn't just "awesome plus awesome plus awesome equals 3x awesome", it's MF awesome CUBED!! cheers!!
One of the best interviews I've seen on the subject. The only way it could have been any better is if: 1) that guy with the air hose took a long lunch; and 2) Ted was there as well. I'm glad to see that there is a company that really listens to it's community. The fact that Matt, Ted and Shane were all involved in the creation of those scopes is what drives my excitement to try them out!

Ok, I’m not at the level where I need such a well made scope but I sure would like one. So while watching this I put my name on a list to get notified when the HELIX comes available. Maybe I’ll get a chance to own one. I’ll have to start saving my pennies, ha ha! Thanks for the info and glad to see that there are folks out there moving forward. I wish you guys much success with this new line of scopes!!! Thanks for bringing this to us Steve! All great stuff.
All 3 may be great scopes for the money. But the way Matt handled the point of manufacturing made it seem as if he was embarrassed/ashamed of two of them. Not the best way for a spokesman or salesman to instill confidence. But, the video was very informative and enjoyable. Thanks for posting.
From memory, the $400 is manufactured in China, the other two, I don't recall. I don't believe there's anything for him to be embarrassed about, a lot of great scopes we've come to know and love come from there (Hawke, UTG, MTC, Optisan, Vortex, Athlon, Weihrauch, Aztec, ect). Best, Steve

I wish people would quit using he same cliché analogy of "These 400 dollar scopes are as good as the ones that are 2x the price". So that means that the 400 dollar Helix is as good as the Titan and the 800 dollar Titan is a good as the 1500 dollar Nexus. Obviously this is 100% bullshit talk and means nothing. Thank you for the awesome videos and that rant isn't directed at you but everyone that reviews scopes. I love what you guys have done for the air gun industry.
It's been a long time so I don't recall but I don't remember that being the message we were sharing. It somehow it did come across that way, for clarification, the Nexus is definitely more scope than the Titan, and the Titan more scope than the Helix (in terms of quality, features, and refinement). That being said, I shoot at the same level of 100 yaed performance with all three. Best, Steve
Exciting...no doubt. I particularly liked Matt's graceful "push back" on the sourcing of glass/etc (10:35). As a photo/video pro for more years than I want to admit and having spent more money on lenses than automobiles (ok, that was a bit of a stretch) I've learned the importance of the engineering details associated with manufacturing. Tolerances and other quality control on the assembly bench are AS, or more important than the components. IMHO, he was spot on asking people not to prime their expectations based on component source/origin data. Get them, shoot, them and then decide. My order is in. Damn you AEAC for another great episode and another big dent in my wallet. :)
Like John Galt below, two of my same channels on the same video. Every time, and I mean every time, I watch Matt or Steve I learn something new. Thank you both!

I've recently moved up to FX CROWN 25, had the FX scope but it just didn't match up with the crown, so I order the HELIX today... Can't wait to get it!

It hurt my eyes they were so shiny and new. Watching this presentation on this new line of scopes I started to get that same feeling again. I had to ask myself, do I really need a scope of this quality for the many air rifles that I have? Am I being left behind with all this progress? I got the sinking feeling that indeed I am falling behind. I admire the new scopes that Matt presented. I really don't feel the need for one of them at this time. It's nice to know the new scopes are out there. I am what is called a satisfied market segment.

John Kent The 1-8x is becoming a standard for low magnification range now, so 2-7x is in a way obsolete. But I agree AO parallax adjustment designs are not receiving enough love for LPVOs that they deserve.

I know Element is VERY popular, and with reason, but I'd like to know if Vector are comparable, quality wise. The Discovery HD could also be a contender, maybe?

A question for Matt. Have you personally checked how they track, how close will they focus and are the MOA versions calibrated in 1/8" or 1/4" increments? Can you see calibre specific custom turret wraps available for these scopes in the future? Perhaps a tie up with a wrap maufacturer.
David Will Yes I have personally checked everything. MOA versions are 1/4 MOA increments, and yes we are already looking at custom turrets and unique ways of doing this in the future that will be compatible with existing models.
I have a very simple question I need answered. I'm looking for a new scope right now and will be upgrading my Vortex Viper PST Gen1. The Titan is in my price range. Is it considered an upgrade from the Vortex PST line? Gen1 and Gen2?
Steve this is the best "airgun" video that I have ever seen. I have been a long time subscriber of your channel, Giles channel and Airgun 101, Matt's channel, Teds channel and .....channels and feel that I know what I am talking about (a dangerous thought). Anyway I thoroughly enjoyed the video. I do have some questions/thoughts. First, since you were shooting in an FX factory I assume that the scopes are PCP rated but were they springer rated? I don't recall hearing that they were. Second my passion is ultra long range shooting, in excess of a mile. I do this frequently and quality scopes with sufficient magnification and elevation adjustment are the limitations to ultra long range. Magnification is more important to me as I can use other means for elevation adjustment. In short 20-25 power is not enough. Yes I understand that these scopes were designed by airgunners, but Matt clearly stated that these were scopes for powder burners first that would work great for airgunners. And yes I did hear that long range shooters were not included in those that these scopes would work for. So, are there plans for other models if this line is successful? That sure seems like an anticlimactic question for such a diatribe. Any thoughts?
Couldn't say if they're Springer rated. I'd guess not at this time until they test (or let me test) but maybe Matt can let us know about that and your other question.
Can't help but think that everybody's got a better mouse trap! But heck, the proof will be in the pudding, and yes, I will be buying one of these when they get to a dealer here in Canada, and if the price is not out of this world. ( or mine hahaha! ) I'd like to start with the Helix, of course.
Great info thank you. By the way I was looking for videos for Hatsan at44, it was my first pcp, and I found an airgun depot commercial for at44, was that a really young Steve shooting balloons with paint in them?
10:25 in the video , Steve asks ,Where is the scope made Taiwan ? Matt , Yes its made in Taiwan but I don't want that to get out . Thanks a lot for pointing that out . The 400 scope just went down to 200.00
... I don't know. A lotta superb $400 scopes that gunners have been using for a lotta years are made in Taiwan. Hawke Sidewinder, Aztec Emerald, Optisan EVX & EVE, Leapers/UTG, now Element... I'm sure there's more. What's the matter with Taiwan?
@@AEAC The problem is there are two many other good scopes that are from the same place but have illuminated reticals and are ffp . They are trying to get 400 for a non illuminated and only a spf . Its not going to sell . For 399 you can get a swfa 10x40 military spec scope . I'm just telling you for that price no one is going to buy a sfp scope that doesn't have illumination when you can get a ffp with illumination. Just one scope for example the Athlon FFP 6-24x50 Argos BTR Gen 2 30mm Riflescope www.swfa.com/athlon-6-24x50-argos-btr-gen-2-30mm-riflescope-1.html?___SID=U
@@Sertao2013 For anyone who's come across his exchange, my field reports are that the Helix is selling like Snickers bars. UA, PA, SPAW, and AGD, are all reporting super fast flip of Helix inventory. I'm even seeing Krale Europe (largest European airgun distributor) and here in the U.S. Optics Planet have both picked the Helix up... Optics Warehouse UK too. That's all telling a very different story from the commentor's sentiments. Best, Steve
@@AEAC I'm not saying anything bad about the scopes I just saying you can get a ffp and a lighted reticle for the same amount of money that are made in the same factory . With the tiny reticles the Helix has you can't see it and are useless at 6 power in the woods . There are videos about this already on youtube . They need to be illuminated . If the scope was illuminated and ffp I would think about getting it . This video is a older video and I'm pretty sure they have the Helix in ffp now and not just sfp but still no illumination . If your a airgunner and you take this scope in the woods and are aiming on the ground at rabbits or squirrels your not going to be able to see the reticles . That's all I'm saying . And its not just me I'm just telling you what I have read and videos have watched . Do this Steve take the nexlix ffp scope out and set it at 6 power walk into a wooded area and look through the scope and come back to this reply and tell me if you can see the reticle or not . In one video I watched he shows the reticle at 6 power and he is right you can't see it . He even said if you are planning on using the scope on 6 power to get another scope . Thats how small it is and without illumination and you can't see the reticle you just wasted 400.00 They might be selling like snicker bars but once people find out they can't see the reticle the scopes will be sent back .
Congratsss looking forward to seeing further reviews... I wonder if I will be to use it on both my pcp and magnum springers... is it designed to tolerate the heavy recoil?
The scopes FX had before where no good. I had one and it did not last long on my Weihrauch springer. On the box was written " High Quality optics for airguns! That means all airguns! FX replaced the scope and i got confirmed on mail from FX that these scopes where not usable on springers. How it is with these new Element scopes, i don't know, but they look great and FX would make a big mistake to sell bad quality scopes again. Just write a mail to FX and you know.
I was looking forward to this until The top end scope doesn’t have E-glass and only the mil reticle has a dot in the center Plus the scope center is small almost to small to place a level (the only place to truly level your scope)
Hey Steve just wondering have you had your hands on an HW110 carbine in Fac/full power. Would love to know your thoughts on getting a full power consistent hunting rifle .22 uk so many comments so many varied reviews you seem to test rifles and are fair with your reviews 👍🏻👍🏻
Airgun Exploration & Advancement Channel yes saw that, it was the low powered version just wondered if you did the longer barrelled version 30ftlb It’s long
@@grays85 Oh I see. No, I won't be reviewing the longer barreled version. It's kinda commonly known that the shorter barrel performs better for whatever reason and the power difference between the two is very small. Hope this helps.
21:20 is that means that only Nexus have all these features in the box ?? This is not nice to say it that way !!! All of your scopes have to have it ( saying me as a new costumer!!!!!! ) Also durable flip up covers in metal and magnetic is a wish !!!! I have an Athlon 6-24x50 ( 450 $ scope ) with plastic covers ... the spring gone 4 days after arriving !! I had to fix( keep them open ) those with rubber bands . This sucks !!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for an answer and please upgrade the Helix and Titan ( if they don´t have it already ) Thanks again !!!
So what happened between Airguns of Arizona and FX? They don’t carry FX anymore? All of a sudden it’s all about Utah Airguns now. Seems like all the Tubers are gushing over them.
Which of these scopes will Matt use with his 260 Rem powder gun for 800yard antelope shooting What mounting bases for powder guns and particularly what rings to mount on FX Impact ll Will he put together a package of scope and rings especially 34MM Thank you Steve few good thing happen by chance BUT this was one of them I am a buyer
Very stupid mistake for not adding illuminated retical on the Helix . Its a very thin ,all most invisible retical at 6 power . A little light on it would make it perfect . I hope they add it in the future . I'm going to wait till they add it .
The Element line won't be branded FX. As Matt shared, he's got free range decision making power, and FX is leaving him alone to navigate. FX is the investor only. Hope this helps.
@@AEAC Thanks. That part I get. More of a gripe about so many PCPs sold without open sights... Sure, open sights on the Impact would looks silly, but what about the Streamline? I do think that a 5 to 20 X scope on an airgun is over the top. They are not long range devices, and shooting from anything but a very steady rest is difficult with too much magnification. Yes, the scopes are multipurpose; but they are being presented by and to airgun enthusiasts...

The Nexus is way over priced. It now sits on my least used gun. The parallax ring is the worst in my collection. You can hear and feel it turning. I'm talking about the replacement scope they sent to replace the original which was worse.

David Will Yes I have personally checked everything. MOA versions are 1/4 MOA increments, and yes we are already looking at custom turrets and unique ways of doing this in the future that will be compatible with existing models.
Awesome
Thanks 🙏
Will see what I get after I ordering one ! :)
"more of a matt finish." Well of course it has since it is Matt's favourite... :-)
Do they do the nexus in sfp ? At the moment thats the factor taking me to nightforce nx8 over the nexus.

I'd guess not at this time until they test (or let me test) but maybe Matt can let us know about that and your other question.
... talked to Matt. Something's on the horizon regarding your Springer question 🙂
Hello Steve love your videos I find them very informative. I was wondering what do you have to do with the company FX.
I wonder if the Nexus is made in the same factory as the Valdada Recon G2
Gosh, darn it, mate...just bought anATACR....as you know....but we need to chat as I have an idea...take cate👌
Can't help but think that everybody's got a better mouse trap! But heck, the proof will be in the pudding, and yes,
I will be buying one of these when they get to a dealer here in Canada, and if the price is not out of this world. ( or mine hahaha! ) I'd like to start with the Helix, of course.
Great info thank you. By the way I was looking for videos for Hatsan at44, it was my first pcp, and I found an airgun depot commercial for at44, was that a really young Steve shooting balloons with paint in them?
OMG say it ain't so! Thought that vid was long gone, lol 😄
@@AEAC you looked good bro, I like the way you were popping out from behind the trees👍
@@juantego7614 ☺
The hissing in the background was so annoying! You couldn't have chosen a quieter place to film? Other than that nice video.
That's was the desired effect 👍
Airgun Exploration & Advancement Channel the effect is 💩
Same here, reminded me of this :th-cam.com/video/vbigvtzdWRI/w-d-xo.html
alway got to be one. Inside the FX Factory and your not happy . Good Job Steve and Matt and thanks for the effort
Awesome...
Nexus is a great scope. I will be buying another. And. Helix. Stainless steel not soft brass I Researched 100s of scopes. My money Element Optics.
Congratsss
looking forward to seeing further reviews...
I was looking forward to this until
The top end scope doesn’t have E-glass and only the mil reticle has a dot in the center
Plus the scope center is small almost to small to place a level (the only place to truly level your scope)
Another great informative video (from the usual source)
Skip to 9:30 if you came here to actually get info on the scopes…
Hi Steve and Matt and of course Element builders !! Is there any chance to get a " compact " scope ?? ( max 10 inches ) in FFP
Now everyone will hopefully understand that $1500 price point. Thanks Steve!
Yes, I have reviewed one. You can find the 2 vids by doing a TH-cam search.
Why didn’t they make a 34mm nexus??
Prices of each brand? Nexus ,titan, helix?
Have the Element Helix arrive in US??
Stedy One May release for the Titan and Helix. Nexus ships to dealers next week
Almost hit the 'buy now' button for the SFP one, but it has no illumination.
Next.
I dont get the good price went with the athloneros, on my fx is superb, titan made in china. so send to Sweden for service?
Is the Helix Chinese made?
21:20 is that means that only Nexus have all these features in the box ?? This is not nice to say it that way !!! All of your scopes have to have it ( saying me as a new costumer!!!!!! ) Also durable flip up covers in metal and magnetic is a wish !!!! I have an Athlon
6-24x50 ( 450 $ scope ) with plastic covers ... the spring gone 4 days after arriving !! I had to fix( keep them open ) those with rubber bands .
This sucks !!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for an answer and please upgrade the Helix and Titan ( if they don´t have it already ) Thanks again !!!
Wish i could afford one. That's tough
Great video.
Está luneta com um fx impact só almenta meus sonhos de um dia consegui-las like vocês são show

FX already had a line of scopes. I guess they needed a reason to bump up the prices.
These scopes have nothing to do with FX Airguns other than maybe some financial backing.
@@bullbars1822 I made an observation, you are listening to a sales pitch. Feel free to drop your coin on these scopes if you like.
BullBars1 spot on! Chalk & cheese when compared to the old FX scopes.
@@blackdiesel Observation or ASSUMPTION?
Oh yeah these are just rebranded....LOL
So what happened between Airguns of Arizona and FX? They don’t carry FX anymore? All of a sudden it’s all about Utah Airguns now. Seems like all the Tubers are gushing over them.
best to see press releases from both sides over on the airgun nation forum. a search should find them for you.
You guys should have filmed this at a different spot away from the hammer and the air blower
Which of these scopes will Matt use with his 260 Rem powder gun for 800yard antelope shooting
What mounting bases for powder guns and particularly what rings to mount on FX Impact ll
Will he put together a package of scope and rings especially 34MM
Thank you Steve few good thing happen by chance BUT this was one of them
I am a buyer
Very stupid mistake for not adding illuminated retical on the Helix . Its a very thin ,all most invisible retical at 6 power . A little light on it would make it perfect . I hope they add it in the future . I'm going to wait till they add it .

Hello ineed Fx air gun online delivery available I'm from india
An FX branded scope would be like BMW branded tires...
Now, BMWs come with cheap Continetal tires. Why don't FX airguns come with cheap open sights?
The Element line won't be branded FX. As Matt shared, he's got free range decision making power, and FX is leaving him alone to navigate. FX is the investor only. Hope this helps.
@@AEAC
Thanks.
@@rickoshea8138 You obviously haven't seen the FX Impact M3 shooting 500 yards and hitting a balloon, etc. I think that's VERY long range for an air gun.
@@hurricaneaquatics There is an Altaros M24 air rifle shooting 1400 yards. It is on the Airgun Regulator channel; video code B5ioDdftZIM
That said, stunts do not make a market. How far does the typical FX customer shoot?
22LR
This scope should cost a hundred dollars
Give away for me Boss 😁
Maybe Matt will actually answer some of the questions forwarded to him some day.
BullBars1 I get asked hundreds of questions every day and unfortunately can’t get to all of them. Unfortunately as my channel grows I am able to connect less and less with individual people. Hopefully as Element grows there will be people whos jobs will be to answer questions all day. Right now that falls on Shane, myself and Brad Bonar, it is time consuming but we will do our best to answer any scope-related questions as quickly as possible!
@Bullbars1 They just dont give a shit. Instagram,FB,Etc. Only making payed sposored vids. Free sig sauer kestrel products, no feedback. , same story. Nothing else. No feedback. Just a one way direction. Same goes for FX in Sweden. Its like they thinking there the best and dont need clients. In The netherlands at Krale same story. . One way direction. Look how good this product is. But no feedback and highest retail prices.
@@AirArmsHuntingSA no you dont. Only thinking on free sponsored products and payed trips. No feedback. Just a one way direction.
Are these made in China?
Nice video but that background noise was so annoying...
I understand the salesman avoiding the made in China question.
800usd for a chinese scope kind of hurts my customer’s feelings 😂
The Nexus is way over priced. It now sits on my least used gun. The parallax ring is the worst in my collection. You can hear and feel it turning. I'm talking about the replacement scope they sent to replace the original which was worse.
Lifetime warranty, I'd be using it again then if it were me 😊👍
Way not meak ring fawoder in said scope.
Now FX can sale airgun and scope as combo with Zero setting at 50 yard
Zeros change with temperature & altitude so I don't forsee this happening.
Bang minta 1donk kirim indo...ngiler sy
So, does this mean you aren't giving one away.?.......lol
FX has been super supportive of AEAC. My guess is that if I asked, they'd say yes 😊
Thanks Steve.!! , We'll be waiting and watching...
China. Chinese made, I dont get the price they get, so went the athlon eres on my fx impact awesome glass
