I never understood why lift or drop shackles are used more by guys lifting their trucks. If you only need an inch or two up or down, it’s a perfect solution. I think it’s easier and faster to install than blocks. I found myself needing these in the 1” lift range after I added a 1.75” ready lift front lift to my 2021 TB. Now I have just about 1” higher in the back which is perfect for me. I tow and haul quite a bit, so the level look is nice but now functional for me.
I hope you end up raising it back up. Squatted trucks just do not look right. Here in WV we have certain sayings for those with dropped trucks. Still looks decent
Great video, just got a 2020 AT4 and l have the 2" drop shackles on order. This might be a stupid question but I just don't know that much about this. If I put the shackles on do I need to remove the 2'" blocks as well or can they stay in? Not sure what the right approach is.
Great channel. Like the truck leveled with the original wheels. Not a fan of the wides. Would you recommend the Silverado Trail Boss even after your engine problems? Thinking about getting one when market stabilizes.
Is installing the shackles easier then removing the 2 inch blocks from the rear ? As I saw another video mention that the u bolts would have to be replaced if the blocks are removed. So I’m stuck between these two options.
What's better, Chrome wheels or polished wheels? I live in Michigan an I had Black wheels before (as seen in profile pic) an I had Chrome wheels but the Chrome started flaking/peeling... Now I wanna go with a different set up. I would like to get some opinions on polished wheels.
My tire guy CANNOT get the NITTOs, in that size. NITTO tells him that tire is in R&D....this is a huge shop, I showed him your video, tires with factory sticker on them....NO GO.
What bulletin for lifters for 6.2 ? What is your dealers name ? Thanks everyone I've talk to said they don't know anything about that problem ! Lifter failure .
If you lift the front put the regular shakles back in. The squat is not a good look bro. You dont even look like a squat type of guy. So why do this too yourself???
i have a gmc elevation 1500 year 2020, i have the x31 package as well. I want to drop the rear of my truck to level it off with the front instead of raising the front. Does this work for that option. i dont want a squated truck but more so a level truck. thank you?
At 3:06 you tested my mechanic reflexes to the dirt falling from frame 😂😂😂
Hahahahah lol
I dug the Nittos more. Always enjoy the videos. Can’t wait for the Ready Lift to go on. Stay safe with the bad weather.⛈

American forces with 7-9in mcgaughys lift kit
Make sure to drive it around 60-65mph I had vibrations at highways speeds and had to install a shim because the 2” drop shackles.
Went up to 80 yesterday, no issue 👍🏻
@@lmfscrew yeah it’s weird I heard it’s only for some trucks but looks nice🤟🏽
What shims did u go with I’m getting a slight vibration slowing down to about 30mph
@@JesusAlvarez-jn9eumy does that to
Man I like the factory wheels and the nittos better. Looks good tho
Can’t wait to see it bro! Keep the videos coming man.
those wide wheel make that trail boss stand out much more! impressive!
maybe the wide wheels are the friends we made along the way
Split 7s on the new truck like baby squat?🤔
larry’s on top fr
Chrome-ies👀 reps or wides?
I think the Old LTZs or some G13s would look good if you go with reps
Just came back in from doing my AT4. Thanks for this! Nice work , it help and made me put in the order to just do this. Looks good
About as good as it gets
Truck looks good video was super helpful thx
Nice truck! I love the turtle look though ..
Currently sitting !!🤌🏼
I think the previous generation LTZ rims would look great on the truck. Had an 05 2wd with LTZ’s on it and it was clean af look
I love the do it yourself content you dnt see this much on youtube good stuff bro 🔥
Looks awesome!!!

Hello can I use the same process on the 2014 Silverado 1500 to do shackes
Hey man, badass video! I just installed 2 inch drop shackles on my 23 f150 but getting vibration when decelerating. Do i need pinion shims?
Nice job, explanation and camera work thanks. If the top hole dropped it 1.5" , how much do you think the bottom hole would lower it?

Yea I'm taking my at4 back in to add 2" more on the front, to my already 6" lift..back still sits too high for my liking
So you still have the 2 inch blocks in the rear?

Thanks for making the video man!
Take them side steps off will make it look 10x better
Hey I own a 04 Silverado and was wondering about the truck meets
why is it the bigger the shackle is, the lower the truck is?
Cant wait to do this to mine
Really nice bro..did you lower the front or that's factory
Hello what's wrong if spring is touch the bed of the truck.
Super helpful. Thanks.
Did you notice any vibration after installing the drop shackles?
You have 2 inch or 3 inch leveling kit on the front thinking on do the same to my in my 2020 Silverado

Couldn’t a 4inch lift strut on the front level out a trail boss? Surely the factory put more than a 2inch strut to keep good angles
Like your videos
When u did this did u also have your blocks off ?
Do you have to grease the shackles? Or just that brand you got? And I got a Denali 19
Why was it easier than your 18? Just because newer truck and parts?
What website did you get them? I don’t feel comfortable spending $40 on some Amazon ones
My tire guy CANNOT get the NITTOs, in that size. NITTO tells him that tire is in R&D....this is a huge shop, I showed him your video, tires with factory sticker on them....NO GO.

lean that bit
Hi what name brand antenna is on your truck and size. Is it a good antenna.
do you think it was bad you taking off the 2in blocks from the back ?
did i see you going north towards Nashville yester day i thing i saw you
when’s the atm vid coming out ? i’m ready to see it!! you were videoing me in the field i had the unicorn on my tan truck lmao
Should be Tuesday!
@@lmfscrew can’t wait !!
True duals coming soon I hope
Definitely needs a Full Throttle Suspension lift kit or Bullet Proof Suspension lift kit. 🤔
LOL
did you have to put something in where the screw thing goes
on the actual drop shackle
Why didnt you not put s&b air filter on the trail boss.
Because Cold Air Inductions product sponsored
Looks very nice. I like to do some ting to my silverado
What kind of exhaust set up do you have?
I don’t really know much about these things, but if you change the drop shackle will it affect your towing??
no
What size tires and rims you have on thanks
Does effect the ride?
So you put and last hole it’s 2-3 inches
Are you going to come to scrapping
Where can i get those shackles
Did you remove the bump stop
The Recon Grapplers look way better than those wides you put on. Big wheels and skinny tires do not belong on a truck.
could not agree more
Do you have to torque spec them?
Turtle Mode ftw
So you not change shorter shocks
Take the running boards off o think it’ll look better.
Can u come over and do my 2018 crew cab chevy lol 😆 😂 🤣
How do you put grease on them?
Are you going to lift it to like a 6 inch?
You should squat it that would be good content
Yeah it would be cool if he took the lift blocks out just to see what it looks like!!! A tiny bit of lean looks good imo!!!
Baby squat 2.0?
Needs 6’s an 5’s
You gotta do chrome wheels that would be beautiful
Here is the Trailboss with a SC studio.th-cam.com/users/videoFWbCUYGeUyA/edit

🤝👏🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
What else is this guy going to do to the truck....geez
Level with the 35's
reps plz
Would you consider selling the recons?
tried to be first #second
How much did you pay for the drop shackles?
I pay between $25 n $40 on eBay
First
Baby squat it
Tow mirrors
My shackles have 3 holes I don’t know what hole put
So much nicer leveled
You’ve put better rims on cheaper trucks lol please get new
If you lift the front put the regular shakles back in. The squat is not a good look bro. You dont even look like a squat type of guy. So why do this too yourself???
why worry bout someone elses truck
Stop buying a 4wd truck just to throw a stupid drop shackle in to lower it. Leave the 4wd to actual country folk
stop worrying about sum that isnt urs lmao
