【Synopsis】In ancient times, humans mixed with deities and demons, the world consisted of Shennong, Xuanyuan and Gaoxin. Wandering in Dahuang, Jiu Yao from Gaoxin lost her identity and appearance. She settled in Qingshui Town and renamed as Wen Xiaoliu. The Prince Qiang Xuan of Xuanyuan was Xiaoliu’s cousin. To find Xiaoliu, he travelled around Dahuang and came to Qingshui Town. In Qingshui Town, Xiaoliu saved Tushan Jing in danger and fell in love with him. Xiang Liu and Xiaoliu appreciated each other and became confidants. After a few twists and turns, Qiang Xuan and Xiaoliu eventually recognized each other. After recovering her identity, Xiaoliu helped Qiang Xuan bring the whole world under his rule and retired from the rivers and lakes. Fang fengbei is the true face of Xiang Liu. If there wasn’t Chenrong army, he would probably be like that. Free roaming the world, dorky funny little guy, being the man Xiao Yao would immediately fall in love with. It’s sad, because of circumstances they can’t be together
It wasn’t possible for them to be a couple. Xiang Liu was fighting Xiyan kingdom and the Old Emperor, Xiao Yao’s grandfather, and would never surrender himself or the Chenrong Army. I doubt the Haoling Emperor would have accepted him knowing his identity as Xiang Liu. Then there’s Cang Xuan. And, Xiao Yao was still in love with TuShan Jing no matter how much time passed or how long she spent hanging around with XL.
I felt like it was more possible for them to be together when XY still had her identity as WXL and had yet to take back her identity as princess. Even so, XL's ultimate loyalty is to his foster father, which XY expressed much regret for him having such a burden. She said to him "i wish it was me that saved you instead of your foster father", that way XL could be free of his obligation to fight and die as a general.
Their love is conflicted between duty and the shackles that grips XL. Hop Season 2 brings light on that love. ❤
@@cindyl3297 I still think XY would have taken XL as a friend rather than a lover or a future husband. She believed she was destined to stay as a man and never see her family again so I think they would have been friends.
@@pumpkinpatch5609 parts of season two was changed from the novel. I prefer the novel to season 2, event thought the directors stuck closely to the novel. However, with two directors, the season seemed to move in two different directions/visions rather than one cohesive direction. Especially with Cang Xuan towards the end.

You have to read the novel which the series is closely following to understand the title, “Lost You Forever”. Xiang Liu doesn’t because he lost Xiao Yao. He dies for his own principles and obligations for which he couldn’t and wouldn’t give up…not even for Xiao Yao.
Xiao Yao needed someone who would put her first above everything….TuShan Jing/Ye ShiQui was the only man worthy out of the four.

Чому творці цього шедевру вирішили піти по тому ж нецікавому сюжетному колі?? Я розумію, що є новелла , але ця історія має вже інше життя з акторами, які принесли свою майстерність і шарм в сюжет.
