My husband just ordered me a set of 10 of the clover hooks. I bought one 5mm and just absolutely loved it!! It’s my birthday on Saturday so I’m super excited to use a different size
You did a great job explaining everything, I don’t think you went fast at all, and I’m fairly new to crochet! You always do an amazing job, you are such an Afghan teacher ! Thank you!👏🥰🥰🥰🥰
Love puff stitches Robin thank you this would make a beautiful rug think that's what I will make it into and love the join , I will be doing this after the rainbow squares are finished on a Saturday afternoon 😊Amanda xx🌸
LOVE your tutorial. Thought it was perfect speed and just Love the puff stitch in a square pattern! Can't wait to start a project with this new pattern and join as you go border! Thank you for your Wonderful video and ideas. Love the colors you chose too! Keep up the Great work.
Beautiful stitch pattern and join technique. Using Ice brand self-stripping yarn was a great idea because the colors work well together and (because there's no need to change colors after every round) there's not so many ends to weave in.
I just adore this puff flower stitch Motif. I am using Lion Brand Mandala Sparkle in the colorway: Crux. It's working up well. Thank you for this pattern!
This is gorgeous Robin! I love 💕 the colors you used! They look great 👍🏻 together! Thank you for another amazing tutorial/ pattern! I can’t wait to try this! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 thank you so so much! You are just amazing always!
Wow Robin, this tutorial is amazing, how come i missed it before.😜 I wonder how could a blanket look in these puff squares, thanks for sharing, love ❤️ Hasu from London 👍👍🙏🏻

Very creative with the picot 😉 Love the pattern ❣️🌹You make it so that it is so much easier for us❣️❣️❣️(the pattern is so much easier than it looks) Thank You so much❣️

Lovely square, fantastic job on the tutorial. The detailing and follow along was in my opinion excellent. I will be exploring different yarns and hook sizes and just having fun making a variety of things. I will show the sample I made just by watching in my Raverly page. Thank you so much for sharing!👍😊 Donna
Hi Gail! It's 13:55 here! 😀 We're spending the day painting the outside of our house so I'm filthy and covered in splashes of white paint 😂 I hope you have a lovely day too! Xx
This one is definitely a candidate for King Cole Cottonsoft yarn. They have some amazing varicoloured combinations (like Watermelon and Willow), and it's a really floofy soft yarn.

Hi Robin !! This is beautiful !! Love the colors you chose !!! Would you please tell me how many skeins you used for the square please ?? Thank you 😊 you’re amazing 🤩
This is a beautiful pattern!! 💕 Silly question...when joining the 3rd & 4th corners into the same space do you join them to the diagonal picot or the one next to them? I couldn’t tell for sure...thank you for the great video too!
If it's in the middle of the blanket, then join the corners diagonally - if it is the outside edge of the blanket, join next to each other (does that make sense? It's kinda hard to explain via text! 😂) It doesn't really matter though, you can join them all next to each other if you want to - the diagonal corner join simply highlights the lacy aspect - it's not crucial 👍
The only stitch that is my nemesis is the puff/popcorn stitch. I just can't do this one and have it come out looking as good as the ones I see in patterns. I've scrolled through many of your tutorials and you seem to love using this stitch, lol. I tried this one with the same size hook/yarn you used, and lo and behold, mine's a wonky mangled-looking mess. It really looks horrible, lol. Frogging, saving my beloved purple yarn for another "let me try this one" pattern, and moving on, lolol.
Very beautiful!!! The border row has a pretty vintage look to it :-) Could I use a 4 weight yarn? if so, would I also go up a hook size or more? Thank you, Have a fantastic day!!!
hmm I'm not sure what a 4 weight yarn is equivalent to here in the UK - BUT - it should work for any yarn! See what hook size your chosen yarn recommends and have a play; you may want to go up a hook size depending on how puffy your puff stitches look 😀
@@HookedbyRobin I am so sorry, forgot to say 4 "medium worsted" weight yarn...thank you for your help...I think I will just play and see what happens :-) Have a terrific day!!!
Cheeky request. Could you show how to do a half square please? I’d love to use this for a triangular shawl. For the second time I’ve bought yarn for a project then seen yours and prefer it!! X
@@HookedbyRobin I think the question is when joining the next square to the ivory one, when you join in the corner would you slip stitch in the same place as you did the ivory or would it go in the gray one (if that made any sense)?
Oh yes, sorry I'm with you - I tend to join the corners to the diagonal opposite square as I generally make big long rows first (so this sample being 9 squares, imagine the ivory row one is the only row - I'd start with that one row first so ignore the other 6 squares that are in the video) ..... I don't think I'm explaining myself very well haha! Have you seen my tight join as you go video? That explains it better (although the joining method is different) th-cam.com/video/enmdj2aKgtk/w-d-xo.html it shows how I'd join the next row - just ignore the joining method and picture these puff circles if you can 😅
Hi! Is it doable to do the continuous join as you go with this pattern? I have all my circles done and am ready to square and join them. I can't work out in my head how continuous chain as you go would work for this, though. I think it's not possible, correct? P.S. I am very happy with how the circles look so far!
You can absolutely do this with a continous join as you go! Have you see my video on it? It might help you visualise how to do with with these circles :) th-cam.com/video/kKsb_1YTV4I/w-d-xo.html
@@HookedbyRobin Yes, I've used that very video before! I was thinking that because the picot circles back to the stitch where it came from, that's why it wouldn't work.. Looking at the piece I'm working on, I see it IS possible. You just have to divorce from the picot whereever you jump to a corner of another square, like on those raw edges. Its a brain teaser.
For your very first square, you would make the final round in its entirety - you'd start joining from the second 🙂 This shows it best: th-cam.com/video/cxcJW0hgp3g/w-d-xo.html You could absolutely join using the continuous join as you go technique though!
