- Again, this 7.25" gauge railway host it's annual 'Standard Gauge' extravaganza of miniature engineering over a three day weekend.
Although a member I was only able to spend a few hours there today filming activities within and around the loco shed area and nearby Harvesters Station & it's approaches. Sufficient I hope to show just a small selection of locomotives in operation, apart from EWR members, many owners travel considerable distances to enjoy this event & to enjoy themselves with family & friends. Speaking of friends, it was good to catch up with friends & fellow TH-camrs Chris & Rosie Woolston (Wooltman) and fellow EWR friends not seen for a while.
For further info on the EWR and events check out........

Nice that the diesels have an authentic sound when they move or idle down, great stuff!
I love model trains but these guys bring it to a whole nother level nice job
Yes Leo, they really are impressive I agree, glad you enjoyed them.
If my video turns out as half as good as yours Brian I will be happy.Nice meeting up with you again.A thumbs up from me......Best wishes.Chris.
I'm sure it will Chris, you get more practice than me lol. Yes, good to see you both again, hope you had a great day & look forward to seeing your vid, cheers, Brian.
I like all the old people on the trains , it makes me laugh
They (and me) have too much free time lol. I see your in Brissie.... If you go back two years on my uploads you'll see some of my QR footage as well as the Mary Valley Rattler & Roma St, Cheers, Brian.
Dash it Brian! I missed it again but sadly it clashed with Foxfield. There are some very tallented engineers there. Nicely presented video. Alan
One day you will make it I'm sure Alan but glad you enjoyed seeing them in this video, they are pretty good though. Cheer's, Brian.
That's what I'm talking about very very cool 🤓..👍
Damn that's cool 🧐
Love the DDA40X.
Like the doubleheader class 40s
They are a 'lovely pair' lol. You should pay a visit sometime Mike!!
How much do the Class 40's weigh?? They must be incredibly heavy to supply traction?
Sorry I cannot give a precise answer on that but am sure that the bulk of the weight is no doubt the two 12 volt batteries.
wow ok cheers!!
Talk about detail!!!!!!!!!
They are quite something I agree!!
Does anyone know if theres anything like this in the US?
Hi, not sure where you are in the USA but a quick search found this guide to similar railways, hoped there's one somewhere near you. www.railserve.com/Models/Live_Steam/Clubs/North_America/

The only model of a large scale DDA40X in whole youtube and absolutely no focus given to her. Instead, we get to watch same boring steam models that we see everywhere. Thats a bit sad.
Send a cheque for expenses and I will go out & video it all day especially for you........ Maybe I think 'Warship Gaming' is equally sad and steam not quite so boring but that's life eh!!
Nah, "Warship Gaming", even if that was the correct name, wasn't that sad if you were into WW2 naval history. Anyway grandpa, I think I hit a nerve there, so sorry for that. But I still came back for 5:07, even for 3 seconds of that beauty.
