    For sure I understand that keto dosen't make sense for people who are already in a healthy weight. As for me, I was very overweight and pre diabetic, and a low carb diet ( maybe not realy keto) was recomended by my nutricionist, and honestly saved my life. I feel the energy I havent feelt in a long time and the pounds came down fast, that made me so so so happy. Also my mind was clearer. So, realy works If it is for you. But PS. I did not count calories or macros. I ate lots and lots of vegetebles, good quality fats, light carb fruits, but my main focus was protein.

      I think it depends because I’m at a “normal” weight and my doctor recommended Keto to me for health reasons other than weight loss. I’m just eating at my maintenance calories on Keto so I don’t lose weight. I haven’t felt this good ever! My head is clear, my energy is sky high, and my hormones are back to their regular levels. It’s incredible!

    this wasn’t completely my idea (i saw another comment kind of like this, but i wanted to share so linda would see it), but for a video, you could try eating like disney characters for a week! for example, you could eat all apple things for snow white. you could do a swim workout and eat sea food for ariel, and etc!

    Im doing keto and doing sports and one of the most important things to NOT feel tired is checking your electrolyte balance. If you dont SUPLEMENT electrolytes (water with sea salt, magnesium chloride and cream of tartar) no matter how much you drink your body is gonna be all over the place. I wont explain here the function of electrolytes but the "keto flu" and the tiredness doing physical activity is mostly due to electrolyte imbalance because when you lose weight so rapidly your electrolytes get flushed out of your body. The 3 supplements i listed are fairly cheap and so anyone thats reading doesnt think they have to go and buy those commercial electrolyte powders that are expensive as hell. Greetings!

      @@cocoaicci_ i didnt use pills. Consumed magnesium, potassium and sodium, those are the electrolytes, mixed in water and a bit of lemon juice.
      I am now out of keto, but a year ago was the most natural and healthy ive ever been. Its a really good diet. Only do it with a nutritionist, and do blood tests to keep everything in order, as its easy to make a mistake.

    i can't explain how grateful i am for her. its been two days (today is the third day) i have not restricted. I have started to listen to my body. I do eat mindlessly at times but this time i have been gentle with myself and not punished myself for mindless eating. I feel stronger as i workout. I feel happy.     Hi Linda! It would be cool to see you challenge yourself to quit working out for a period of time. It could benefit those (like myself) who struggle with disordered eating ( i.e. "I can only eat this if I workout after, I am allowed that because I worked out earlier"). You could so beautifully show us the process. It could delve into our relationships with being active, our relationships with our bodies and our strength. The video could also highlight the benefits of working out for those wanting to start out! I couldn't think of anyone better to make this type of video.

    I so needed a Linda Sun video, thank you Linda. I just asked my mom to stop telling people of my orthorexia days because it makes me feel guilty for trying to cure it & indulging in unhealthy food now & she literally told me to NOT get better & that it's a good thing that I avoid junk food completely and that she is actually PROUD of me being like this. She says that she doesn't know why it's a bad thing & I know a lot of people think like that but it just makes me question why I'm doing all this then, trying to get better and all, smh.

    I don’t want hate for saying this but I’ve struggled with an ED for nearly a decade now and I find Linda’s channel to be getting worse and worse- obviously not in terms of out production but I do think she’s struggling.
    1. She had only recently recovered when she started making videos and it took off because she’s an amazing person inside out. She’s said before she wants to lose weight and afterwards has been going from fad diet to fad diet which, as someone who is a high-achiever, impacts her drastically if she isn’t successful.
    2. She also didn’t use to track her food and it’s been happening more and more in recent videos.
    3. She’s a big creator and there’s more pressure to fit into the fitness influencer type.
    4. What she’s saying in her videos don’t match up to her actions. From personal experience, I said the same “oh I need to eat a lot to fuel my body, carbs are great, I love my diet and my body” etc because I logically knew right from wrong, but didn’t follow my own advice or only did it to an extent. I’m not saying Linda is lying about any of her statements but having an ED is very difficult since u know you’re trying in certain aspects but deep down u know u still engage in certain behaviours.
    I praise and respect Linda for openly sharing her insecurities or when she’s having a bad day, but this could easily spiral more out of control and I do believe she’s in a tough place mentally at the moment.

    I usually love Linda’s videos but as a person who has a susceptibility to diabetes due to my family medical history, keto has helped my body reset itself back to my normal body after going through major weight gain and depression. Is it a diet to follow all of your life? NO. But keto isn’t the worst thing to do to help you get to your fitness goals. Once you reach where you want to be in your fitness goal, you can maintain your health by listening to your body. Linda didn’t do this diet due to health concerns, but I do and it has helped tremendously.

      I agree! I don’t really like it when healthy people try to go Keto (or any trendy food restriction like gluten-free etc.) when they have healthy bodies in essence they’re throwing it off. But Keto has also been used to treat epilepsy in little kids, which is really cool! Food can be used as medicine. I think Linda is helping by showing people who don’t “need” to do these diets and forcing themselves to do this, that they don’t have to

      It’s good you found something you enjoy and fuels your body. Every body is different and some people thrive eating certain ways. The Inuit population have eaten a keto like diet for thousands of years, and have done well. I think what she’s getting at though is keto can be extremely restrictive. It’s a diet through and through, and if you enjoy eating that way great. It just gets dangerous if you repeatedly tell yourself “no I can’t eat that, I’m keto”. Then in turn when you do get your hands on a carb you just devour multiple portions of it.

      Fucking preach sister!! I had chronic pain and inflammation and was so depressed! Going low carb/keto has changed my life! I am thriving now! She didn’t talk about any of this stuff which is incredibly disappointing. Balanced doesn’t automatically mean healthy!

      @@melissaedwards5689 I agree putting down a diet or a lifestyle just because it doesn’t fit Linda’s lifestyle is irresponsible, when it is helping people get to a healthy weight, and rid themselves of obesity related health concerns. Just like her calorie counting video pissed me off, because I was told I had to lose weight by doctors so I’ve calorie counted and haven’t looked back. I’m currently the best version of myself because of calorie counting and I’ve cured myself of an obese body that I had since a young child. I do see her point, but instead of voicing her concerns in the way they should have been. She’s basically saying, “I have a healthy body and I think keto is this torturous diet that nobody should do, and everyone should be happy in their own bodies”. When in reality people are dealing with a lot of health related issues from diet alone. There’s no one size fits all program for anyone and I don’t think putting down other people lifestyle is the way to go. She clearly enjoyed a lot of the recipes and she could have touched more on that instead of dragging her feet on the ground

    I wish I could meet you in person and tell you how much you have changed my life.....I'm a 13 year old and i started working out when i was 11 but saw no results, all i wanted to see is my body to change physically but it wouldn't, i would always say that why can't my body just change, is this the way in going to stay for the rest of my life...FAT, UGLY etc until i saw your video recommended by TH-cam that literally changed my whole entire life and mindset.     Hey Linda! I know this is probably gonna sound kind of odd but are you okay? I ask this because in past videos you have said that you have had a problem with restricting in your diet and that you have since been working on improving and listening to your body. I know that it’s probably nothing but I’m kinda worried seeing as you are doing so many challenges with different restrictive diets and I don’t want you to accidentally go back to the mindset of you having to constantly restrict. This probably makes no sense but please be careful with these challenges, all of us love you and want you to be happy and healthy. Have a good day 💜

      @@linlinpooh7677 too be honest this is something I've noticed alot... Her subs always talk about how open she is but I just don't see it... She hides alot of her real feelings and pretends she "fully loves herself" but these videos sometimes suggest otherwise.. alot of youtubers use these "diet challenge" videos to make it seem like they aren't disordered, cause they can just say its for fun. No hate to Linda, she's incredibly insightful but I feel like there's something deeper going on

      @Talena zzstu Meechan true when I lost over 30 lbs in the span of 2 years in my younger teens, it flew by so quickly I have no memory of it all, and then I realized I was stuck in my disorder that I had no clue I have gotten so far... I've gotten better but it was a shock when I suddenly realized how bad it had gotten

    I rather to try and drink plenty of water, eat a lot of fruits and veggies and reduce stress as much as possible. That’s my “diet” and it works, lost 50 pounds last year.

    Since many of you may not know I am going to say this fact, Keto diet was actually created for epileptic children
    I haven't watched the whole video so Idk if she mention this or what🙂

      She doesn’t! She literally bashes the diet the whole time, talks about all this evidence about negative long term affects without referencing any of the studies and basically says it’s not balanced so it’s not healthy 🙄 I’m sorry but I lived with chronic pain and inflammation for years on a “balanced” diet and was absolutely miserable and depressed! Going keto/low carb changed my life. My friend who has an autoimmune disease then started following this diet and his symptoms all but disappeared. So pushing this narrative that it’s not healthy is ridiculous because I have gone from having suicidal thoughts and being in pain every day to thriving! The one thing it’s taught me is that there is not one diet for everyone, so don’t shit on a way of eating that could change someone’s life.

      Coming from someone who is epileptic, I didn’t have a good experience with the keto diet. Maybe this is because I went all in too quickly too soon, perhaps I should have stuck it out more. Still, I think dismissing one diet altogether as an option is kind of ableist, UNLESS they were made by someone with no medical or scientific background whatsoever, involved selling products from the very get go, or harmed more people than it benefitted. Some diets do have medical roots like sugar free for diabetics and keto for epilepsy; assuming that all types of diets are a part of the destructiveness of diet culture and ED enabling (a la Demi Lovato and the froyo shop) is hasty generalization. I don’t like how a lot of these medical-based diets have become some cash-grabbing image-based diet, but abolishing other options from intuitive eating or all-in negates the people who have certain conditions like diabetes or epilepsy and don’t have the luxury of picking and choosing whatever they want since their body simply won’t process a cookie with normal stability.

She does shit on the diet by bringing up only negative long term affects and not once doing any research on what is positive about it! Then she very passively aggressively says she“feels bad for people going through the keto diet” ! Then the whole second half of her video is basically shitting on the diet, at one point she says that there are no fresh fruit and vegetables so doesn’t understand why anyone would ever promote a diet like that…however every single clip of her eating the food she is gushing over it and talking about how great it is lol! I’m sorry but she did not give off the vibe that it didn’t work for her but it could work for someone else at all!

    This is SO great! As a mental health professional and healthy lifestyles consultant, I try to encourage my clients to eat healthy carbs. YOUR BRAIN needs them! I'm impressed with your wisdom and transparency about your experience. Fruits are SO good for you. Glad you eat so many! Having a healthy lifestyle means having a fun, healthy relationship with your body and food. And eating in a way that supports your Whole Self: Mind, Body and Spirit. Every meal should be a love letter to your life. As a creator, I love watching you review creator's workouts and different popular diets. It helps all of us fitness/healthy lifestyles creators offer better value! (PS: I think your Mom would love my workouts! LOL).

      Ok, so when I was eating a more balanced diet and had chronic pain everyday and could barely get out of bed and was having suicidal thoughts you would recommend me to continue to do that? But when I switched over to high fat which reduced my inflammation and pain and allowed me to start living my life and thrive you would say that’s not healthy because I’m not eating fruit??? I’m sorry but to sit there and say that is totally irresponsible. There is no one diet for everyone and for someone to basically vilify this way of eating is very irresponsible. It’s an excellent diet for diabetics, people with epilepsy and those with autoimmune diseases. But there was zero research done in this video except for the negative long term affects which she made no reference to the studies. I might sound like a bitch right now, but I want people to be aware that fruits and vegetables don’t work for everyone, and being balanced doesn’t automatically mean health

      I did an exercise class with some keto people. It was a very hard class and we all kept up. At the end the the keto people were dripping with sweat, bright red, barely able to stand up and were extremely out of breath. Everyone else had a light sweat and normal breathing. Just something I noticed. I don't judge though. Each to their own.
