No,its not necessary...its just a filler, so that you will need less amount of clay and the art will be lightweight.

Susma Datta it might work. I haven’t tried it but you can try it and see if it works. For best results I would use aluminium foil as it holds better shape and is stronger and easier to cover in clay! 🤗

The taller one is 8 inches and other is 7 inches...but u can make bigger size if u want...you can use pop...and even any airdry clay for this
