I love the what Praesidus is doing, I just wish they'd slightly improve the original designs instead of reproducing at a premium. An easily removable caseback, sapphire, strong lume, and screw down crown that is easy to use would make these amazing.
I like it! I know if you just look at the specs, they might seem a little expensive, but they definitely have a specialness about their watches outside of just the specs.
When it comes to homages, I love them, but favour the ones made by the same brand. That said, the Seiko SNK381 is a better homage, because you get a classic Seiko 5 and at a great price, still. Great review, thanks
@@WatchtheTime There ; you owned up to your cowardly backhanded slam against Seiko. I’ll ask again, and now answer as though you know what we’re talking about, because we do: when should Seiko have made a watch like your very close friends did?
Agree. Mainstream brands or their ADs, and the grey market, Swiss, Japanese, and German are all discounting like mad to stay in the game. Many micros are not reading the room yet.
Interesting watch, thanks for reviewing. It's so frustrating having great lume on a dial and poor on the hands, why do they do this? Also that crown looks very fiddly for hand winding, hidden crowns should be screw down so when they pop out it is easy to wind and adjust the movement.
I just bought a Seiko SRPG39 but I really like this watch face. I love Arabic numerals and I love applied indices. I love love the dial color. Clean. I'm inthe US so no import??
You asked in the clickbail title if this is the watch Seiko should have made. You didn’t address this in your review. A question: when should Seiko have made this watch?
Clickbait?? Not at all. For me it gives me Seiko vibes and the reason I didn’t mention it is because I never do compare watches or anything like that, is too risky 👍👍
@@WatchtheTimeWell, when you don’t address the headline’s question in your review, and you dodge my follow up question, then the question you posed is clickbait.

I completely agree mate 👍👍

Am glad you like it mate 👍👍

I’m glad you like them mate and you make a good point on the Seiko 5 range, a point that really helped me come up with my title of this video 👍👍

Mmm, I think if I was going field watch/vintage.
I think I'd go Baltany Uk.
Great shout mate 👍👍
Nice watch, my issue is I've been buying gray market and it's bought to spend 300+ for a micro when I can get a Tissot, Mido, etc for the same money.

You both make some excellent points mate and like you, I think their pricing is a bit off 👍👍
Its not a micro, search for Montrichard Group..
They are having a laugh at that 😂 price
Most definitely mate 👍👍
The design is a win, specifically because it’s a vintage copy. But the execution is a huge miss, especially for the price.
Pretty good assessment there mate - fair play 👍👍

Thanks for watching mate 👍👍
I'm not sure after hearing all that you can recommend it..
I get that but I just didn’t think it was poor enough not too tbh. Many thanks for your feedback though 👍👍
thats not a good colour dial.
No problem - thanks for watching mate 👍👍
Not that impressed, and by the time you've paid import taxes and courier fee you will be way beyond what this watch is worth. Big pass from me.
No problem at all mate - many thanks for watching anyway 👍👍
