i got one recently and they are great if you want a little buddy who dosent do much. He sits on a tank next to my desk and just hangs out in the dirt most of the day. they are pretty cute mine is green and i love him so much

If she's in her water bowl that much, the substrate is probably too dry
I don’t know a lot about pac man frogs but if I’m right frogs normally like to be in water quite a bit, it can also get a little bit messy when shes drinking it, correct me if I’m wrong
{ C l o u d R a t } no, unlike most frogs and toads, Pac-Man frogs are sit-and-wait predators and only move when absolutely necessary. If they’re sitting in their water bowl their substrate needs to be wetter
@@ryry02823 yup, a lot of people argue you don’t even need a water bowl at all. If the substrate is moist enough that’s all it really needs.

Lemon is adorable. I can't wait to get a pacman frog of my own I did notice one thing though. The enclosure to the right has the heating pad on the left side. Are there any concerns of that also heating lemon's enclosure on the cool side?

mine is a teen in a 10gal tank she eats 3 crickets a night and i only fully clean her tank once a month (fiber change and water change along with rinsing tank out and drying) and spray tank fully once a day she is doing fine thats really all you need to do.

Have you thought about making Lemon's enclosure Bioactive? That way the clean up crew of springtails and woodlice would be constantly turning over the EcoEarth and eating debris! My Pacman frog is in one and its a really easy way to maintain a natural environment

Thank you so much for this video! I've waited so long for a pacman frog and done so much research for over a year and yesterday was my birthday so i finally decided it was time. I have tarantulas and reptiles so I'm used to having animals that eat live insects and aren't into being handled all that much but I've always used my bare hands with them but I'm going to do the same thing as you and use gloves with the frog when he arrives. I'm so nervous because this will be my first amphibian and I know how sensitive their skin is.
i like the decoration using the fake plants
So for the nightcrawlers I suggest adding some leaf liter for them to munch on and they will last even longer. They love decomposing plant matter like vegetables, fruits, decaying plants. Helps to keep them healthy.

Lemon is interesting to watch, I guess one reason is I never heard of a pacman frog until I seen your videos and although she is not active like a hamster, she is still interesting. She watches your hand while you are talking, I was waiting for her to lunge, hahah
Donna Devaneyv some are more aggressive than others lol mine has never lunged but he watches my hands when I’m in his home. They’re definitely super interesting!

when placing your probe for your thermostat where exactly is it supposed to be. I've seen in some tanks that the probe is 2 inches from the mat barried in the soil, on the glass, on the surface. I have been having a hard time getting my tank to temperature, im not sure if its just my thermostat (jump-start) if something else. My house is around 73 degrees and I dont want my froggies to be to cold.

I have been watching you for almost a year now. Before I had any reptiles. I have two geckos a leopard gecko and a crested gecko. I watched all your videos that have your hermits in them. Before I got my first gecko which is lemon my leopard gecko(named after your lemon because I loved the name) I was originally going to get hermit crabs and I was looking at care videos and yours popped up and you convinced me not to get one and I am thankful for that because than I wouldn’t have my geckos. I have been wanting a Pac-Man frog for a couple months now but my parents don’t like frogs. I just wanted you to know how much of an impact you and your animals have made on me and my animals. Oh and I wanted to tell you that I tried Polynesian sauce from chick-fa-la with waffle fries and I haven’t eaten chick-fa-la without it😂. 💞

I have a question about thermostats ? I just got a thermostat for my pac man frog but for some reason it’s not working with my Zoomed heat Matt . Dose it matter what kind of thermostat you use ? The kind I got is for both pets and seed Matt’s

When they sit in the water bowl it means the dirt is too dry
Looks good! But if a pacman frog goes into a dish of water it is a sign their substrate is not moist enough as they absorb all the moisture they need thru the substrate. I would suggest misting 10 times more than what you did in the video 2 times a day to keep it humid enough to allow enough water to be absorbed

My pacman always eats a big mouthful of substrate whenever i feed him and it kinda worries me. should i feed him in a separate enclosure or is this ok ? i dont want to stress him out. thanks!
id get a food bowl to put the prey in so hes not eating the substrate !! either that or get tongs and feed him like that
also, around what time do you feed her? my problem is that my frog is burrowed whenever i see him so im not sure how to feed him, would i wake him up?
