AJ styles to me is this generation’s combination of HBK and Bret Hart. Absolute legendary performer and athlete.
He really is. And probably better than both when it comes to inring prowess.
With all the greatest floating around now, it was when he saved James Ellsworth that solidified your statement for me
Better than Bret. Would have been just as big if not bigger had he come over sooner.
He’s at the very least renown in the industry unanimously.
Seems like a better person than them backstage overall.
Seth Rollins and AJ are that for this generation fs
AJ is one of the most hard working wrestlers
He was awesome in TNA in the early 2000's.STILL IS ONE OF THE BEST!!
P H E N O M E N A L
The late 2000s was the peak for TNA, and yes they had alot of ex-WWE talent but they were able to mix them in well with the homegrown stars like Samoa Joe, Jeff Jarrett, Abyss and AJ Styles to name a few
Jeff Jarrett wasn't a Homegrown star...
@@GameTesterDevswerve: the OP IS JARRETT.
Samoa Joe was absolutely NOT a homegrown TNA talent Jesus h Christ.
Dude was in ring of honor before TNA even existed ya silly fucker.
Pope was there, James Storm, Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, Hernandez,
WWE has always been my #1 interest when I comes to wrestling but AJ Styles was so captivating when he was in TNA that even John Cena couldn’t beat him out for my favorite wrestler. He has always lived up to the name “The Phenomenal One”
WWE fights are not real fights. They are all scripted from punch to punch every single attack.
He was too good man
A phenomenal WWE a**
kisser
@@errolkimawach9342
Because of TNA not the WWE
@@kellymcquay2626 I always wonder why he didn't come to WWE earlier?
AJ is one of the best to ever do it. Go back and watch that reaction the first time him and Cena were in the ring with each other. That crowd let them both know how special it was bc they are two of the best to ever step in the ring
Did you just compare Aj styles to Cena? LMAO
Cena can't sell...he's Vinces "Super man" that's it.
lol Cena, Cena doesnt even deserve to be in the same ring as this man, there was nothing special except for AJ being there, take Cena out of the equation
Here come the neckbeards...
Christ.
@@ElBribri styles and Cena clicked agree or not
totally disagree, Cena didn't click with anyone, not even with Orton, his wrestling "abilities" are basic at best, he had to depend on LOADS of false finishes just so people could say his matches were "good", actually he was the one that ruined WWE with that everything was a false finish and then it became a trend
@@rathia4232
GOAT Styles, my favorite wrestler of all time
This is why I love aj he's such a humble person
he worked in tna
He just disrespected the company that made him
@@kellymcquay2626 he worked there for years and they want him to give him a pay cut while he's their star attraction. its not hard to leave in that circumstance
@@ralphso5567yeah just pay cut waste of Talent like hasbeens like ric and hogan
AJ definitely isn't wrong about TNA, in the late 00s they were starting to gain a lot of viewers because they were putting on some of the best matches in the US on a regular basis, and had a roster featuring not only a ton of rising talent who are stars in the industry today but some genuine top wrestling talent who had left WWE. It's such a tragedy that when they earned a move from 1 to 2 hour TV slots they threw it all away to get the WCW band back together. All they had to do was keep doing what they were doing and the whole US wrestling landscape of the last 15 years, a lot of which was extremely bleak, is completely different, and AJ Styles is on the forefront of the whole thing. Feels bad, man.
If it was not for Dixie bringing Hogan and Bischoff into Impact, the company would be no.1 instead of wwe
Facts 2010-2014 dem boys was the shit
#1 favorite wrestler.
One thing about WWE is if you are super good looking, have really high charisma, it can def open a door in Hollywood
Also for those who arent you can join in a booking role if youre great on the mic and creative or if you're technically skilled you can get a developmental tole in NXT.
AJ Styles, what a good dude. Solid worker, top talent and all around good human being.
Fell in love with AJ Styles at TNA. What a performer
WWE wasted so many years and dream matches we could’ve had with AJ

Bingo
to be fair, he might have made good money already, to live decent, it just the future is bleak and super expensive
Aj is like a absolute amazing dude who loves video games and is very nice! ❤ im so glad he came to wwe!
AJ is just humble. he's already there and WWE is sure to give him the money he's worth. Im not gonna be surprised if they hire him as a trainer once he retires
It's nice to hear AJ speak on his experience in this fashion. Very humble and legit. I see a couple comments say give him a final title run. However, I see a great wrestler getting a solid paycheck and no matter the future, he'll be taken care of in terms of the pay and will always have the respect/legacy with the fans.
AJ styles is one of the only wrestling I have no issues with sitting comfortably in wwe, not fullying pushing and risking himself like he done on the come up, the dudes earned it.
AJ is my favorite wrestler of all time as a kid I use to watch his TNA matches when TNA was at its peak to watching him in The WWE 🔥 he had a beautiful career in multiple Organizations I’ll cry the day he retires
Was never more happy to see a wrestler climb to the top. This man grafted and grinded for it all.
To this day I still believe that early Old Skool TNA had the best pro-wrestling matches ever.
Fact
I hope that aj becomes a champion again because we know he is always ready to give us fans some more classic matches and I hope that he stays in WWE until he retires and not signs with aew.
Meanwhile the AEW Marks: "HE ISN'T SAYING SOMETHING NEGATIVE ABOUT WWE?!! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"
He deserved to be in WWE a lot sooner than he debuted but what he’s done in 7 years is perfectly put as Phenomenal
It was ALWAYS his choice. He could've went to WWE sooner. He DIDN'T want to.
WWE offered AJ Styles $490,000 per year when his TNA contract expired in November 2013, he declined the offer and went to NJPW making the Yin equivalent of $750,000... Once his contract expired after Wrestle Kingdom 2016, WWE contacted him again and immediately offered him $1.25 Million per year. He accepted it and right now he is making $2.5 Million per year... I'd say he made the right decision declining his 2013 offer... They even tried ripping AJ out from underneath TNA in 2009, but the offer was only $150,000 per year which was only slightly more than TNA was paying him at the time ($135,000), so he decided it wasn't worth the move for such a small increase
aj styles TNA work is STILL LEGENDARY. I wish we got 2005 - 2008 version of aj styles
AJ is right regardless if he gets another good push especially world title push, but regardless he has worked hard his whole career he does at least deserve a good contact to transition into retirement comfortably ... Anyone who has deserves to
I'm happy for him, good all around talent. I hope to see him in the title picture sometime again.
He did his time in Japan he is a very straight forward passionate wrestler that knows his value n knows at the end of the day he's in the biggest wrestling company in the world that provides him top teir talent in much fuller arenas n even stadiums compared to otherr promotions
For me, and this will always be THE dividing argument among us fans, but for me this is the best ever to do it. Okada and Flair are right there as well, and I take nothing away. But this is my GOAT
Im not a big fan of professional wrestling, but I remember tuning into TNA and seeing AJ put on some absolutely incredible matches with the likes of Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe ect. I was in awe of his athleticism. The shit these guys would do was unparalleled at the time and it made me appreciate wrestling a lot more.
Loved watching AJ on TNA so much when I was younger! He was one of the main reasons I watched it. Still remember him flying off of the ropes they had over the top of the 6 sided ring in some special match, such an entertaining athlete! Miss the short hair for sure! XD
Someone that actually understands the benefit of working with WWE. 95% of The guys that have some much negative to say about WWE are people that didn’t draw any money and never got over…. Because of their attitude that carries on through their life after WWE. Ryback is the perfect example.
One more AJ style run please . As a heel leader of a group would be amazing
The only wrestler ever to hold the gold for every major company in the world (at the time)
thank you AJ
will go down as one of the greatest of all time
What he meant in a straight way is that WWE gives a pro-wrestler more global exposure than anywhere else and more money which is true but their run for the past couple of years is very disastrous..especially the creative team, matches and their stupid new new policies
Business wise wwe is exploding tho now the production could be better
A WWE wrestler's life is definitely not easy
AJ styles is this generation sting. He was the face of the TNA, ROH and WWE and will go down in history as one of the greatest of all times!
He’s just collecting a paycheck at this point I get it. But the way I see it complacency is death
He was in TNA which abbreviates Total nonstop action
Aj is such an underrated and no pun intended but a phenomenal wrestler he’s that good
Once TNA was most entertaining than any other company.
If anything, they should redesign the IC title and have AJ have a great run with the 'working man's' title.
Wouldn't be surprised if aj styles transitions into a backstage role or become a road agent with wwe after he retires. Don't see aj ever leaving wwe
AJ is the Goat of the 2000’s in ring wise. Orton def has a case but before the newer generation he was the most gifted performer of his time and his body of work is really impressive for longevity in such an unforgiving sport. Thank you AJ 🙏🏾
47 & still going strong 💪
Whoever is editing the cuts in this is the real worker, just fucking answer the question
Smart man with a realistic work ethic 👍
Who else want to see Aj challenge Roman for universal champion.
Aj Styles is amazing now but back then in his early - mid TNA days dude was the best of that era. Seriously, undertaker was still active etc yet no one was AJ Styles. His matches never ranked under 4 stars in TNA. He was a machine back then. In this current era no one beats Kenny Omega and Jay White in skill.
wish we could have seen AJ and HBK in the main event at Wrestlemania.
Notice how he says "make enough to live comfortably" not "make a shit ton of money" that's one thing that separates the people who find success from those who fall short.
He is Legend❤❤
The most positivity I heard about WWE
Watched a Small house show in Hampton VA. AJ and Cena came out to finish the show and tore the house down. I don’t even like wrestling but it was a great show.
They were doing well. I was actually watching it. Loved it, until they brought in Hogan, Bischoff, Flair and everyone else.
AJ and The Fallen Angel put on clinics!
This just makes me want to work harder even though Im not a wrestler
He could be a manager or producer. That's kind of the point
He can barely talk for himself with that deep southern accent. I highly doubt his managerial skills would improve anyone else. He still can't get his Tag team brothers over.

As a wrestling an hearing “we were actually doing well at one point” saddens me about tna prime tna pre hogan tna was AMAZING
AJ should have always been in the WWE.
AJ and Theo Von got to be brothers ❤
He never said WWE is the ONLY place to work for
Prime tna was 2007-11 perc angle, sting Christian Samoa joe styles
It's good he's doing well .
Phenomenal forearm my bad
With the way AJ still works now, I don't have a hard time believing he has some years left in the tank😅
Something tells me that AJ works in a lot of places
Aj styles belongs in wwe
Please let AJ go wrestle TNA one last time before his time is up him vs nic nemeth in TNA it needs to happen
Best Wrestler in the World
even though he is with wwe for money, god dammit, he deserves it! Aj has done everything in the indies. nobody can complain
Aj style ❤🔥
Easily one of the best ever.
Top 5
Wwe aj styles welcome bring back
In short: He is saying that WWE pays better than other companies.
Yes I know.
He said "we" when talking about TNA 😢
AJ Styles: I wrestle less, work more, make more, and my body doesn’t hurt as much.
Ouch for TNA
TNA were great when they weren't trying to compete against WWE. Just letting people like AJ put on a show.
AJ forgets where he came from, if the WWE is the only company why did they wait so long to sign him
He never forgot. He chose to work for other companies before settling for WWE and it paid off because Vince trusted him to carry the ball.
@@RVNT9OE
Really??? How long did AJ carry the ball?
@@kellymcquay2626 long enough to be a triple crown and grand slam champion in WWE. Long enough to have wrestled every top guy in WWE. Long enough to even have kept his job in WWE. Long enough to have the Undertaker make him his last WrestleMania opponent. I can just keep going.
If pro wrestling was a person it would look exactly like AJ Styles
"They were doing well it's hard to believe now" Well yeah, you were one of the few talent that carried TNA lol. In the late 2000s and early 2010s, TNA was arguably better than WWE in that point in time.
But the thing is that not everyone gets those opportunities even in wwe.
Because all they do is complain on social media about how unhappy they are. This guy always works and deals with his frustrations like a professional. Just like Ziggler and Miz.
Okay and? Not everybody gets the same opportunities as others in any workplace. What's your point?
The tagline is straight up clickbait LIE!!! He never said wwlame was the only company to work for. People only hear what they want to hear! He said it doesn't matter you have to work hard everywhere you go
AJ looks like a long lost relative of Theo Von
The goat
Reality is ur Small like MJF Small end of story however entertaining it is to Watch you PERFORM 😉✅
I don't think he will signed in AEW until he retire in WWE, because WWE is where he belongs
The biggest downfall of TNA was Dixie
AJ knows he still have a few Miles to go before the motor break down
AJ will end up working in nxt with hbk
Ok, that's fair.
I can wrestle just like you, I just need practice in the leap from slingshot from tope rope like your flying elbow
From 2004 to 2008, maybe even up until 2010, I'd say TNA was much better than WWE.
WWE has no idea how to use AJ. They wasted him
But he gets good money there is the reason he is sticking around. I used to watch his matches in TNA. TNA was great at one point but wwe sucks nowadays!!
Couldn't imagine being as dumb as you. He was WWE champion about 6 months after joining the company. He won the WWE title multiple times. He won the US title and tag titles. He was featured in main event matches with John Cena, Roman and Undertaker and now he's currently a top star on Smackdown and making $2.5 million every year. Tell me exactly how they've wasted him? In 7 years he's already had a HOF worthy career if you're just looking at his WWE run and he's making top guy money.
We need AJ for a short run in AEW.
