I loved bauhaus and what they did back in the late 70's / early eighties but sadly you can't turn the clock back....back when they formed they created music that came form their influences, surroundings and the people they were then. Everythings moved on.....it's like trying to make 'carry on films' today...it wouldn't work because it caught the moment of the times as did Bauhaus who for Me will always go down as The Gothfathers !
i agree i found this newer stuff but have listened to bauhaus since around late 83 to erlie 84 and this album is the great almost gives them a 60's groove painted in Black it's beautifal and moves
i love love love, really love bauhaus...but some things are just untouched, just to remain memories...i mean bauhaus was a volcane explosed 1979 1983...created a whole wave, a kind of music...maybe for reunion for some live?
I was listening to Bauhaus on shuffle doing my CS project and went absolutely crazy when I heard the ending... I'm Turkish and he's definitely saying something in Turkish like "en uzakta" meaning "furthest away" but I don't understand the whole thing. What is the story behind the ending? Where is the Turkish coming from? I'd be really happy if somebody could illuminate me.
Peter Murphy has been living in Türkiye since the early 90's ... he speaks fluent Turkish! His wife, Beyhan is Turkish! Prior to the actual recording of Adrenalin, there was a lot of tension in the studio ... a very lot ...hence you can hear how Peter is manifesting his tension and anger via the excellent vocal!
@KratEREZ As far as I'm aware, there's nothing to say that a misanthrope can't appreciate humour. I suppose it's a case of love the humour, hate the humourist! However, you're quite right, it's not my real name and it amazes me how few people pick up on it. I would say 99% of people take it at face value. Have to say I'm quite enjoying the change of gender, without having to undergo a painful operation! Congratulations on being in the 1%!
@Causticlight Murphy always sounded like Bowie but with a sense of humour. All those people saying Go away white doesn't sound like Bauhaus, obviously haven't heard much of their music! One of the reasons they were so special was that their sound varied so much. Does "The Three shadows" part 1 sound like "The Three shadows" part 2? Do either of them sound like "Stigmata martyr" or "All we ever wanted was everything"? I could go on but I'd only bore you and myself but I think I make my point
this album was damn good, too. id say its their second best (behind "mask"). there was absolutely no notice, no fanfare, nothing for them. what a shame - really. i mean, this band spawned a genre, practically. oh well.
now i know where scuba got the 'bassline' (erm, plus the rest of the song sped up a bit) for his very cool and sort of stripped-back trak of the same name. been a longtime bauhaus fan, but have to say im not familiar with this song til now.ta jj909.
What is he saying around the end of the song?! What language is that?! I've been wondering about that . . .had to get it out of my system and ask the world. x}
"I do not own Bauhaus"... But they sure own me.

AAAADRENALIN

@fess04 I think this is the best track of last Bauhaus album... "Ninth" by Peter Murphy is much better than "Go Away White"!
Sorry nothing personal and not wishing to be rude but.....you're insane!
Random thought, they’d be the perfect band to cover “you’ll be a women soon”
Not anymore obviously.
@manyoutooktoomuch hahahahhahahahhahahaahha thats fucking great
@avolitekitesvara The sky's gone out is better!
What are you talkin about, most of their songs are equally good
